In this paper, we present the new method for joint aspect inspecting system. We use the image processing and laser maker for light source. We can find the matrial joint status through processing the line pattern which is made by laser maker. To get the line pattern, in first, we did the preprocess of threshold. If the shape of line had over two segments, then the joint status is abnormal. We show our system efficency by experiment on tire facility.

At present many research projects on high-speed spindles are being conducted. These projects require a measurement technique which includes heat expansion, vibration and displacement measurement according to angular velocity. This paper presents the development of a measurement system for high-speed spindle displacement. The measurement system is based on $LabView^{(R)}$ and features the following sensors: optical sensor which reacts to the position of a marker on the spindle and enables two Laser Displacement Sensors(LDS). These Laser Displacement Sensors send their data to a DAQ(Data Acquisition Device). It is important that the delay time caused by the response times of the sensors as well as the sampling rate of the DAQ is considered because the spindle revolves at very high speeds.

In this study, a novel method referred as non-marker vision-based displacement measuring system(NVDMS) was introduced in order to measure the displacement of structure. There are two distinct differences between proposed NVDMS and existing vision-based displacement measuring system(VDMS). First, the NVDMS extracts the pixel coordinates of the structure using a feature point not a marker. Second, in the NVDMS, the scaling factor in order to convert the coordinates of a feature points from pixel value to physical value can be calculated by using the external conditions between the camera and the structure, which are distance, angle, and focal length, while the scaling factor for VDMS can be calculated by using the geometry of marker. The free vibration test using the three-stories scale model was conducted in order to analyze the reliability of the displacement data obtained from the NVDMS by comparing the reference data obtained from laser displacement sensor(LDS), and the measurement of dynamic characteristics was proceed using the displacement data. The NVDMS can accurately measure the dynamic displacement of the structure without the marker, and the high reliability of the dynamic characteristics obtained from the NVDMS are secured.
Purposes: This study was to validate the Robotic Smart Work System that can provides better working conditions and high productivity in unstructured environments like bio-industry, based on a tele-operation system for fruit harvesting with low cost 3-D positioning system on the laboratory level. Methods: For the Robotic Smart Work System for fruit harvesting and cultivation management in agriculture, a vision based tele-operating system and 3-D position information are key elements. This study proposed Robotic Smart Farming, an agricultural version of Robotic Smart Work System, and validated a 3-D position information system with a low cost omni camera and a laser marker system in the lab environment in order to get a vision based tele-operating system and 3-D position information. Results: The tasks like harvesting of the fixed target and cultivation management were accomplished even if there was a short time delay (30 ms ~ 100 ms). Although automatic conveyor works requiring accurate timing and positioning yield high productivity, the tele-operation with user's intuition will be more efficient in unstructured environments which require target selection and judgment. Conclusions: This system increased work efficiency and stability by considering ancillary intelligence as well as user's experience and knowhow. In addition, senior and female workers will operate the system easily because it can reduce labor and minimized user fatigue.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usefulness of Surface-Guided Patient Setup by comparing the patient positioning accuracy when image-guided radiation therapy was used for Markerless patients(unmarked on the skin) using Surface-Guided Patient Setup and Marker patients(marked on the skin) using Laser-Based Patient Setup. Materials And Methods: The position error during IGRT was compared between a Markerless patient initially set up with SGPS using an optical surface scanning system using three cameras and a Marker patient initially set up with LBPS that aligns the laser with the marker drawn on the patient's skin. Both SGPS and LBPS were performed on 20 prostate cancer patients and 10 Stereotactic Radiation Surgery patients, respectively, and SGPS was performed on an additional 60 breast cancer patients. All were performed IGRT using CBCT or OBI. Position error of 6 degrees of freedom was obtained using Auto-Matching System, and comparison and analysis were performed using Offline-Review in the treatment planning system. Result: The difference between the root mean square (RMS) of SGPS and LBPS in prostate cancer patients was Vrt -0.02cm, Log -0.02cm, Lat 0.01cm, Pit -0.01°, Rol -0.01°, Rtn -0.01°, SRS patients was Vrt 0.02cm, Log -0.05cm, Lat 0.00cm, Pit -0.30°, Rol -0.15°, Rtn -0.33°. there was no significant difference between the two regions. According to the IGRT standard of breast cancer patients, RMS was Vrt 0.26, Log 0.21, Lat 0.15, Pit 0.81, Rol 0.49, Rtn 0.59. Conclusion:. As a result of this study, the position error value of SGPS compared to LBPS did not show a significant difference between prostate cancer patients and SRS patients. In the case of additionally performed SGPS breast cancer patients, the position error value was not large based on IGRT. Therefore, it is considered that it will be useful to replace LBPS with SGPS, which has the great advantage of not requiring patient skin marking..
This study was designed to examine the factors affecting in fertilization and development of embryos in vitro, and to examine whether zone drilling by laser irradiation can improve the hatching rate of IVF embryos from DNA marker-proved Hanwoo. DNA markers related to marbling score were identified using DNA fingerprinting with Ml3 probe and restriction enzyme Hae III. Oocytes were aspirated from immature ovarian follicles using a combined method of rectal ovarian-palpation and transvaginal ultrasound-guidance(6.5MHz) under local anesthesia. The aspirated oocytes were washed twice with fresh D-PBS containing 5% FBS and were rewashed 4 to 5 times with TCM-199 containing 5% FBS. A morphological grade of I to IV was assigned to each oocyte. Data were analyzed using the GLM procedure of SAS. Sperm separation methods did not have any significant effect on cleavage or developmental abilities of IVF embryos. Significantly(P<0.05) higher cleavage rate was observed in embryos from GI(60.0%, 3/5), GII(69.2%, 18/26) and GIII(62.1%, 59/95) compared to embryos from GIV oocytes(36.2%, 25/69). And the developmental rate to blastocyst stage was higher(P<0.05) in embryos from GI(33.3%, 1/3) and GII oocytes(38.9%, 7/18) than those from GIII(16.9%,10/59) and GIV oocytes(4.0%, 1/25). There was no significant difference in development of IVF embryos to blastocyst by media for in vitro culture. Proportion of hatched blastocyst was significantly(P<0.05) higher in embryos received zona drilling by laser than those of non-drilled.
Micro tensile test specimens of thin film single crystal silicon for the most useful structural materials in MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) devices were fabricated using SOI (Silicon-on-Insulator) wafers and MEMS processes. Dimensions of micro tensile test specimens were thickness of $7\mu\textrm{m}$, width of 50~$350\mu\textrm{m}$, and length of 2mm. Top and bottom silicon were etched using by deep RIE (Reactive Ion Etching). Thin film aluminum markers on testing region of specimens with width of $5\mu\textrm{m}$, lengths of 30~$180\mu\textrm{m}$ and thickness of 200 nm for measuring tensile strain were fabricated by aluminum wet etching method. Fabricated side wall angles of aluminum marker were about $45^{\circ}~50^{\circ}$. He-Ne laser with wavelength of 633nm was used for checking fringed patterns.

The on-site performance of a vision-based displacement measurement system (VDMS) was evaluated through a field test on a bridge. The VDMS used in this study is composed of a camera, a marker, a frame grabber, and a laptop. The system measures the displacement by attaching a marker at the location to be measured on the structure, by capturing images of that marker with a fixed rate, and by processing a series of images using a planar homography technique. The developed system was first validated from a laboratory test using a small-scale building structure. The VDMS was then employed in a field test on a railroad bridge with a KTX train running under various conditions. The on-site performance was evaluated by comparing the obtained displacement using the VDMS with the displacement measured from a laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV), which is an expensive and accurate displacement measurement device.
In this paper, a deformation measurement technology for nuclear fuel rods is proposed. The deformation measurement system includes a high-definition CMOS image sensor, a lens, a semiconductor laser line beam marker, and optical and mechanical accessories. The basic idea of the proposed deformation measurement system is to illuminate the outer surface of a fuel rod with a collimated laser line beam at an angle of 45 degrees or higher. For this method, it is assumed that a nuclear fuel rod and the optical axis of the image sensor for observing the rod are vertically composed. The relative motion of the fuel rod in the horizontal direction causes the illuminated laser line beam to move vertically along the surface of the fuel rod. The resulting change of the laser line beam position on the surface of the fuel rod is imaged as a parabolic beam in the high-definition CMOS image sensor. An ellipse model is then extracted from the parabolic beam pattern. The center coordinates of the ellipse model are taken as the feature of the deformed fuel rod. The vertical offset of the feature point of the nuclear fuel rod is derived based on the displacement of the offset in the horizontal direction. Based on the experimental results for a nuclear fuel rod sample with a formation of surface crud, an inspection resolution of 50 ${\mu}m$ is achieved using the proposed method. In terms of the degree of precision, this inspection resolution is an improvement of more than 300% from a 150 ${\mu}m$ resolution, which is the conventional measurement criteria required for the deformation of neutron irradiated fuel rods.
