영동지역 청동기시대 취락구조의 변천 (The study changes of the settlement structure on Bronze Age in Yongdong area)

  • 영동지역 청동기시대 취락구조에 대한 연구는 한정된 지역과 유적에 대한 조사가 이루어진 상태이고, 대부분의 전기취락에서는 주거지만이 조사되어 종합적인 검토를 할 수 없는 상황이다. 전기취락은 이른 시기에는 취락의 규모가 작으며, 방내리 단계부터 구릉 내에 주거 점유 면적이 늘어남에 따라 자연히 주거지 수가 증가하면서 취락의 규모가 확대되는 양상이 보여진다. 중기취락은 현재 방동리 A 유적에서 최초로 확인되었으나, 취락구조를 검토하기에는 자료의 증가가 필요하다. 원형점토대토기 단계인 후기취락은 하천 주변에 위치한 구릉성 취락인 송현리 취락과 고지성 취락에 해당하는 방동리 취락에서는 주거지, 환호, 수혈유구, 소성유구, 분묘, 대형의 공공주거지 등의 대규모 원형 점토대토기 취락이 조사되어 청동기시대 후기의 문화양상과 성격 및 취락구조를 파악할 수 있는 자료를 제공해 주었다.

복합지반 굴착 시 암반층 절리경사 각도별 흙막이 벽체 배후 지표침하의 경향 (A Trend of Back Ground Surface Settlement of Braced Wall Depending on the Joint Dips in Rocks under the Soil Strata)

  • 흙막이 벽체 배후지반의 지표 침하는 인접구조물의 안전성에 많은 영향을 미친다. 그러나 지반굴착에 따른 주변 지반의 침하는 예측하기가 쉽지 않고 굴착면으로부터 이격거리에 따른 침하량을 정량적으로 구하는 것은 더욱 어려운 일이다. 흙막이 벽체의 변형에 의한 지표침하는 수치해석(FEM)이나, 경험적 방법 Peck(1969)등으로 추정하고 있으나 주로 토사층을 대상으로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 토사층 하부에 암반층이 위치하는 복합지반을 굴착 할 때 암반층의 깊이와 절리경사에 따른 흙막이 벽체 배후지반의 지표침하를 대형모형실험(규격: $3m{\times}3m{\times}0.5m$)을 수행하여 측정하였다. 모형실험은 축척 1/14.5로 하고 10단계로 굴착을 하였다. 암반층 비율은 35%와 50%로 하였고 암반층의 절리경사를 $0^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$로 하여 단계굴착하면서 흙막이 벽체 버팀대에 작용하는 토압(Lee 2014)과 흙막이 벽체 배후지반의 지표 침하량을 측정하였다. 암반층비율과 암반층 절리경사가 증가하면 배후지반의 지표침하량도 증가하며 암반층 절리경사 $60^{\circ}$(J60)에서는 수평지반 굴착시에 비해 최대 17배 크게 발생하였다. 흙막이벽체 배후지반에서 최대 지표침하는 경험적 방법과 달리 흙막이 벽체로부터 굴착깊이의 17%~33%만큼 이격된 위치에서 가장 크게 발생하였다. 복합지반의 지표침하는 전반적으로 경험적 추정방법에 의한 지표침하량에 비해 작게 나타났다.

석괴댐의 축조 중 내부 침하 거동 평가 (Evaluation of Internal Settlement of Rockfill Dam under Construction)

  • The purposes of this research are to analyze the internal settlement behavior of Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam (CFRD) typed 'D dam' and to evaluate the stability of the 'D dam' during dam construction using internal settlement measurements and results of numerical analysis. The field measurements were obtained during dam construction period. The numerical analysis was also carried out for the same construction period. The numerical analysis focused mainly on prediction of stress and displacement behavior of 'D dam' during dam construction stage using input parameters obtained from laboratory tests, i.e. large triaxial tests. The behavior of 'D dam' was evaluated to be stable from comparing the results of field measurements and numerical analysis. A simple empirical equation is also presented to predict final settlement at the completion of dam construction, using settlement measurement monitored during dam embankment.

Tunnel 상부지반의 기초 지지력과 침하에 관한 연구 (The study on the bearing capacity and settlement of a foundation placed over a tunnel)

  • When a foundation on the ground with tunnel is constructed, the ultimate bearing capacity of a footing is reduced by tunnel. In practice, structure may bate a considerable damage because of large settlement. This study shows that the settlement which is caused by variety of the ultimated bearing capacity leads fatal damages to the footing above tunnel. Therefore, it is necessary to study on the reduction both of the ultimate bearing capacity which leads a failure and of tolerable settlement which satisfies the safety of the building. For this reason, the variety of ultimated bearing capacity was analyzed using tub-dimensional elasto-plastic finite difference method in this paper. As a result, bearing capacity of the foundation above tunnel should be determined after establishing limit of allowable settlement and considering reduction-ratio of bearing capacity.

Optimum pile arrangement in piled raft foundation by using simplified settlement analysis and adaptive step-length algorithm

  • This paper presents an optimal design method for determining pile lengths of piled raft foundations. The foundation settlement is evaluated by taking into account the raft-pile-soil interaction. The analysis of settlement is simplified by using Steinbrenner's equation. Then the total pile length is minimized under the settlement constraint. An extended sequential linear programming technique combined with an adaptive step-length algorithm of pile lengths is used to solve the optimal design problem. The accuracy of the simplified settlement analysis method and the validity of the obtained optimal solution are investigated through the comparison with the actual measurement result in existing piled raft foundations.

The safety behavior of agricultural reservoirs due to raising the embankment

  • This study was carried out to investigate safety evaluation of agricultural reservoirs due to raising the embankment. The seepage analysis and large-scale model test were performed to compare and analyze the pore water pressure(PWP), leakage quantity, settlement and piping phenomenon in the inclined core type and the vertical core type embankments. The PWP after raising the embankment showed smaller than before raising the embankment and the stability for piping after raising the embankment. The allowable seepage quantity and the allowable leakage for the steady state and transient conditions is within the range of safe management standard. After raising the embankment in the inclined core, there was no infiltration by leakage. For the vertical core, the PWP showed a large change by faster infiltration of pore water than in the inclined core. In a rapid drawdown, inclined core was remained stable but the vertical core showed a large change in PWP. Settlement after raising the embankment showed larger amounts of settlement than before raising the embankment. The leakage quantity before raising the embankment and the inclined core type showed no leakage. From the result, an instrument system that can accurately estimate a change of PWP shall be established for the rational maintenance and stabilization of raising the embankment for agricultural reservoirs.

  • 매립지의 침하특성들은 위생매립장을 설계할 때 뿐만 아니라 쓰레기매립토를 복원하는 과정에서도 반드시 고려해야 할 사항들이다. 매립지의 침하를 예측하는 여러 방법들이 연구되었는데 이들 중 특히 Gibson and Lo 모델과 Power Creep Law 방법들은 침하량이 크고 이차압축이 현저하게 나타나는 매립장에 잘 부합된다. 따라서 Gibson and Lo 모델과 Power Creep Law 방법에 사용되는 매개변수들이 유기물함량에 따라 어떠한 변화를 보이는지 대형압밀시험기를 이용하여 관찰하였다. 유기물함량이 각각 20%, 40%, 60%이고 압밀하중을 $0.1{\sim}1.6kg/cm^2$로 가했을 때 Power Creep Law의 m(기준압축성)은 압밀하중의 증가에 따라 감소하였으며, 그 감소율이 유기물함량 증가량에 따라 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 현장계측치에 의한 침하량분석결과 Gibson and Lo model보다는 Power Creep Law에 의한 침하예측이 본 현장과 부합되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Large diameter piles can be defined as piles with diameter of at least 0.76 m (2.5 ft). In bridge foundation, large diameter piles have been used as pier foundations and their use has been increased greatly. In this study, static pile load tests for large diameter piles peformed in Kwangan Grande Bridge construction site were introduced. Also, various sensor installation methods for several types of piles (that is, open-ended steel pipe pile, drilled shafts and socketed pipe piles), pipe axial load measuring method, load transfer analysis method and pile load test results (pile-head load - settlement curve, and pile axial load distribution curve along the pile depth) were introduced.

Effect of lateral differential settlement of high-speed railway subgrade on dynamic response of vehicle-track coupling systems

  • A difference in subgrade settlement between two rails of a track manifests as lateral differential subgrade settlement. This settlement causes unsteadiness in the motion of trains passing through the corresponding area. To illustrate the effect of lateral differential subgrade settlement on the dynamic response of a vehicle-track coupling system, a three-dimensional vehicle-track-subgrade coupling model was formulated by combining the vehicle-track dynamics theory and the finite element method. The wheel/rail force, car body acceleration, and derailment factor are chosen as evaluation indices of the system dynamic response. The effects of the amplitude and wavelength of lateral differential subgrade settlement as well as the driving speed of the vehicle are analyzed. The study reveals the following: The dynamic responses of the vehicle-track system generally increase linearly with the driving speed when the train passes through a lateral subgrade settlement area. The wheel/rail force acting on a rail with a large settlement exceeds that on a rail with a small settlement. The dynamic responses of the vehicle-track system increase with the amplitude of the lateral differential subgrade settlement. For a 250-km/h train speed, the proposed maximum amplitude for a lateral differential settlement with a wavelength of 20 m is 10 mm. The dynamic responses of the vehicle-track system decrease with an increase in the wavelength of the lateral differential subgrade settlement. To achieve a good operation quality of a train at a 250-km/h driving speed, the wavelength of a lateral differential subgrade settlement with an amplitude of 20 mm should not be less than 15 m. Monitoring lateral differential settlements should be given more emphasis in routine high-speed railway maintenance and repairs.

준설매립지반의 압밀침하에 대한 쌍곡선 침하예측기법의 적용성 연구 (A Study on the Applicability of Hyperbolic Settlement Prediction Method to Consolidation Settlement in the Dredged and Reclaimed Ground)

  • Applicability of hyperbolic settlement prediction method to consolidation settlement in the dredged and reclaimed ground was assessed by analyzing results of centrifuge tests modelling self-weight consolidation of soft marine clay. From literature review about self-weight consolidation of soft marine clays located in southern coast in Korea, constitutive relationships of void ratio - effective stress - permeability and typical self-weight consolidation curves with time were obtained by analyzing centrifuge model experiments. For the condition of surcharge loading, exact solution of consolidation settlement curve obtained by using Terzaghi's consolidation theory was compared with results predicted by the hyperbolic method. It was found to have its own inherent error to predict final consolidation settlement. From results of analyzing thc self-weight consolidation with time by using this method, it predicted relatively well in error range of 0.04~18% for the case of showing the linearity in the relationship between T vs T/S in the stage of consolidation degree of 60~90 %. However, it overestimated the final settlement with large errors if those relation curves were nonlinear.
