암반에 근입된 대구경 현장타설말뚝의 침하특성 (The Settlement Characteristics of Large Drilled Shafts Embedded into the Rocks)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the settlement characteristics of large drilled shafts embedded into bed rocks. To perform this research, 35 pile load test results for the large drilled shafts are used, because these deep foundations generally used as substructure systems for grand bridges. In case of the yield load can not be easily determined by load(P)-settlement(S) curve from the pile load test at the maximum loads, the standard settlements which can determine a yield load is established. The residual settlement equation of pile embedded in gneiss and igneous rocks is presented in this study. Also a equation is proposed to characterize the relationship between loads and elastic settlements in pile load tests on the large drilled shaft embedded into bedrock. Then, large drilled shaft's settlement characteristics are examined on pile length, pile diameter and pile's socked depth into rock at the pile tip.

데이터마이닝을 이용한 관측적 침하해석의 신뢰성 연구 (A Study on the Reliability of Observational Settlement Analysis Using Data Mining)

  • Most construction works on the soft ground adopt instrumentation to manage settlement and stability of the embankment. The rapid progress of the information technologies and the digital data acquisition on the soft ground instrumentation has led to the fast-growing amount of data. Although valuable information about the behaviour of the soft ground may be hiding behind the data, most of the data are used restrictedly only for the management of settlement and stability. One of the critical issues on soft ground instrumentation is the long-term settlement prediction. Some observational settlement analysis methods are used for this purpose. But the reliability of the analysis results is remained in vague. The knowledge could be discovered from a large volume of experiences on the observational settlement analysis. In this article, we present a database to store settlement records and data mining procedure. A large volume of knowledge about observational settlement prediction were collected from the database by applying the filtering algorithm and knowledge discovery algorithm. Statistical analysis revealed that the reliability of observational settlement analysis depends on stay duration and estimated degree of consolidation.

건조효과를 고려한 준설매립토의 압밀거동 (Behaviour of Consolidation in Dredged and Reclaimed Soil Considering the Effect of the Desiccation)

  • This research is to investigate the self-weight consolidation settlement and desiccation shrinkage settlement of soft marine dredging clay by performing numerical and experimental works. Large column test were carried out investigate the consolidation settlement considering effect of the self-weight and desiccation shrinkage, and centrifuge model test was also carried out investigate self-weight consolidation settlement. Results of centrifuge model and large column experiments about changes of settlement with time were analyzed by using the numerical technique of explicit finite difference method considering effect of the self-weight and desiccation based on the finite strain consolidation theory. Centrifuge model test results were in relatively good agreements with analyzed results in terms of self-weight consolidation settlement with time. Large column test results showed quite different values from the numerically estimated one, carried by experimental conditions.

  • 암반에 근입된 대구경 현장타설말뚝에 대한 하중-침하량 특성을 조사하기 위하여 35개소에서 실시된 말뚝재하시험 결과를 분석하였다. 일반적으로 단단한 암반에 근입된 대구경 현장타설말뚝의 침하량은 대단히 미소하여 말뚝의 설계 시방서상에 제시된 말뚝의 전체침하량이나 잔류침하량에 대한 규정을 적용하여 극한하중을 결정할 수가 없다. 따라서 암반에 근입된 대구경 현장타설말뚝의 항복하중을 결정하기 위하여 항타말뚝을 대상으로 이전에 제시된 P-logS분석법을 적용하여 보았다. 적용결과, 이 방법은 기존의 다른 분석법인 P-S, logP-logS, S-logt 및 P-S분석법에 비하여 항복하중결정이 비교적 간편하고 정확하였다. 그리고 암반에 근입된 대구경 현장타설말뚝의 하중이 항복하중에 도달하기 전까지의 말뚝의 하중-침하량 관계를 나타낼 수 있는 회귀분석식이 제시되었다. 또한, 지지층의 종류와 암반 근입심도에 따른 말뚝의 침하거동특성도 조사하였다. 끝으로 현장말뚝재하시험결과에 대한 고찰을 통하여 암반에 근입된 현장타설말뚝의 항복하중을 결정할 수 있는 새로운 침하량 기준값이 제시되었다.

  • 콘크리트궤도의 경우, 허용침하기준이 30mm 이하로 매우 엄격하게 관리되기 때문에, 궤도 하부의 토공노반(강화노반, 상부노반, 하부노반)의 침하에 대한 관리가 필수적으로 요구되고 있다. 이를 위해서는 먼저 이들 노반 재료의 침하특성에 대해 보다 정확한 이해와 자료의 축적이 우선되어야 할 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 노반 재료를 대상으로 대형 오이도미터시험과 삼축압축시험을 통해 여러 입도조건, 함수비 변화조건, 반복하중 조건 등에 의한 장기침하특성을 평가하였다. 강화노반 재료가 설계기준에 적합하게 조성될 경우, 열차하중 하에서 발생되는 침하는 매우 적었다. 한편, 노반재료의 경우 일정 하중 하에서 함수비가 증가할 때, 입도조건에 따라 침하 발생량이 매우 크게 발생할 수 있는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Recently the geogrids are being used in some large projects such as Inchon International Airport construction, highway construction, and Korean High-Speed Railway construction with not only the merit of simple construction but also reinforcing efficiency for the soft ground. Main function of roadbed is to provide a stable foundation in terms of bearing capacity and settlement for the subballast and ballsat layers. Differential settlement of the railroad should be avoided. The cyclic laboratory model tests were performed to investigate the settlement behavior of geogrid reinforced railroadbed. The ratio of settlement of roadbed under cyclic loading with three layers of geogrid reinforced is less than 1/2 of the roadbed thickness without reinforcement.

락필댐의 정부침하 거동특성 연구 (A Study on Crest Settlement Characteristics of Rockfill Dam)

  • In this study, crest settlement characteristics of CFRD (Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam) and ECRD (Earth Cored Rockfill Dam) were analysed through the instrumentation data from representative 7 large dams in Korea. Also, We have studied the effect of valley shape and uniaxial compressive strength of intact rock to better understand the impact of the parent rock strength and the valley shape on the long term crest settlement of CFRDs. From the results, we found that the valley shape and strength of intact rock on crest settlement of dams are an important parameters. As a result, we obtained that the maximum crest settlement of CFRD is larger than that of ECRD and long term crest settlement rate per dam height of rockfill dams is less than 0.60% during service period.

  • Database are developed to control measured settlement data under construction in Gyungbu High Speed Railway from Daegu to Busan. This means that data having different type at different site could be managed in a unified way. The database includes algorithm to evaluate embankment settlement with settlement data at the surface of embankment and ground settlement data. And also, it has a function to analyse the causes of large settlement over allowable level and high settlement speed based on the log data, embankment specification, physical characteristics of embankment materials.

  • Previous settlement prediction method based on settlement monitoring such as hyperbolic, monden method were developed under instantaneous loading condition and have restriction to be applied to soft ground under ramp loading condition. In this study, settlement prediction method under ramp loading was developed. New settlement prediction method under ramp loading considers influence factors of consolidation settlement and increase accuracy of settlement prediction using field monitoring data after ramp loading. Large consolidation tests for ideally controlled one dimensional consolidation under ramp loading condition were performed and the settlement behavior was predicted based on the monitoring data. As a result, new prediction method is expected to have great applicability and practicability for the prediction of settlement behavior.

토목섬유를 이용한 인공어초 침하 저감에 대한 실험 연구 (An Experimental Study on Settlement Reduction of Artificial Reef using Geosynthetics)

  • 인공어초는 해양환경을 개선하고 어류와 해양생물들에게 주거지를 제공하는 인공 수중 구조물이다. 특히 인공어초가 느슨한 모래, 연약한 점성토와 같은 연약지반에 설치될 경우 인공어초의 자중에 의해 인공어초의 침하가 발생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 관입실험을 통해 토목섬유 보강 넓이에 따른 인공어초의 지지력 보강효과를 확인하였고, 실내 대형 토조 실험을 통해 침하 저감효과를 확인하였다. 관입실험과 실내 대형 토조 실험을 통해 지오그리드와 같은 토목섬유를 인공어초 하부에 포설하게 되면 지지력이 증가하며, 침하가 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다.
