유입변압기 오일필터링에 따른 유전정접 변화사례 고찰 (Example study of the dissipation factor change according to the oil filtering in large oil-filled transformer)

  • This paper is purpose to understand the dissipation factor properties of the oil-filled large transformer according to the oil filtering. In order to know the insulation characteristic change by insulating oil filtering, we carried out the insulation diagnostic test for the same transformer before oil filtering and after. The insulation diagnosis tests are consist of the megger, the polarization index, the AC current test, the dissipation factor test and the partial discharge test, Especially we took notice of dissipation factor change, we analyzed and made a comparison of the two cases test result.

  • This paper deals with the dynamic property of ground overvoltage relay in large turbine generator. Relay operation is based on detecting the fundamental voltages originating from the generator. Calculations of fault voltage and current are reviewed for the neutral ground resistance. The frequency, ampitude and waveform of individual harmonics were measured using power quality analyzer and memory hi-corder at the secondary side of ground potential transformer. The ac and dc high-potential tests were applied to evaluate the condition of generator, main and auxiliary transformer, isolated phase bus, potential transformer, surge capacitor and arrester.

  • Recently, as power transformer capacity is getting larger, vibration noise of transformer would be large and unexpected failuare of transformer give enormous economic loses, So we aquaire vibration signal, which is maked from transformer windings, core that are airtight out box with in insulation oil, and out box. Also we are fixed rated voltage and changing load current, analyize frequency domain of each vibration signals.

300 W급 평면 변압기의 설계 및 분석 (Design and Analysis of the 300 W Planar Transformer)

  • The forward planar transformer, which had power capacity of 300 W, input voltage of 220 V, output voltage of 15 V, and switching frequency of 300 KHz, was designed and manufactured by using the planar core with large effective area and the flat copper leadframes for miniaturization and high efficiency of the switching mode power supply (SMPS). As well as, a forward converter equipped with the above mentioned planar transformer was manufactured and electromagnetic characteristics were investigated. The numerical value of turns for 1st and 2nd winding were 15 and 2 respectively The self inductance of 1st winding was 1.592 mH, very low leakage inductance of 2.7 $\mu$H, and the coupling factor of 0.928 were obtained at switching frequency of 300 KHz. The high efficiency of 88.62 % for the SMPS equipped with planar transformer was obtained at power capacity of 300 W.

  • This paper presents a new sort of multilayer piezoelectric ceramice transformer for switching regulatied power supplies. And this paper presents the study and development of a DC-DC converter with a transformer made from piezoelectric materials. This piezoelectric transformer operate, in the second thickness extensional vibration mode. Its resonant frequency is higher than 1MHz, This piezoelectric transformer was used the PbTiO$_3$ family ceramics because it was a material large anisotropy between electromechanical coupling factors k$_{t}$ and k$_{p}$. The input and output layer consists of two piezoelectric ceramic layer for eleivater of outpur power.wer.

  • This paper presents a new structure for a piezoelectric transformer, operating in thickness extensional vibration mode. Modified $PbTiO_3$ family ceramics were used for the piezoelectric transformer, because it was a material with large anisotropy between elecromechanical coupling factors $K_t$ and $K_p$ . The size of piezoelectric transformer was 20mn long, 20mm wide and 3.1mm thick. The second harmonic resonant frequency of thickness extensional vibration mode was 0.72MHz at loading resistance 100[$\omega$], And Voltage gin of piezoelectric ceramics showed 0.53 at resonant frequency of sencond thickness extensional vibration mode.

  • This paper presents the fast steady state analysis using time-stepping finite element method for a high power three-phase transformer. The high power transformer spends huge computational cost of the time-stepping finite element method. It is because that the high power transformer requires a lot of time to reach steady state by its large inductance component. In order to reduce computational cost, in this paper, the adaptive time-step control algorithm combined with the embedded 2nd 4th singly diagonally implicit Runge-Kutta method and the analysis strategy using variation of the winding resistance are studied, and their numerical results are compared with those from the typical time-stepping finite element method.

  • The current transformer is used for the insulation of measuring instrument, enlargement of measurement scope, standardization of measuring instrument, control of protective device. It's required various performance as the intention of service, site of establishment, insulation. especailly, current transformer has small ratio errors. if current transformer has large ratio error, it's caused a electricity failure. so in this paper, we examine the theory of current transformer, major factor of errors, output performance on over-current.

  • Recently, demands for the reduction of noise generated by transformers have been increasing. Almost all the noise generated by a transformer is a result of magnetostrictive vibration in the core. The noise radiates into the atmosphere from the tank through the insulation oil. One method of reduction such a noise is to build a free-standing enclosure of concrete and steel plates around the transformer. However, this method has some disadvantages, for example, a large area is needed for equipment installation. In this paper, the vibration and noise effects which is transferred from reinforce channel to insulation panel generated by transformer have been identified for the several kinds of insulation panel shape and damping sheet experimentally.

  • Thyristor rectifiers are still the preferred choice for large magnet power supplies. However, large harmonic voltages, resulting in large current ripple, and slow dynamic response are major drawbacks of these converters. Joos presented a topology and a control technique for a hybrid large-power high-precision magnet power supply in 1996. The system consists of a phase controlled rectifier (PCR) connected in series with a high-frequency PWM converter. This paper improves the power circuit of the PWM converter using interphase transformer. Simulation result proves effect of the proposed system.
