상류 전통주거 거창(居昌) 동계(桐溪) 정온(鄭蘊) 종택의 공간과 생활의 복원을 통한 해석 (Interpretation of the Jeong-On's Mansion, Traditional Upper Class House, in Geochang Focused on Dweller's Life)

  • This study has main purpose to understand the traditional house, not by outside researcher's but by inside dweller's view. The house in Geochang, is descendent house of Jeong-On who was faithful scholar at Chosen Dynasty. In order to understand, I restore firstly the house form and space at traditional era, 60 years ago, and every dwellers not only family members but also servants and guests, by interviewing old matriarch. One of the main rules of the house disposition is Ancester worshipping life. Worshipping floor of Anchae, main building, is located unusually in front of Shrine for Jeong-On, in order to connect all activities directly. Sarangchae, men's building, opened to the funeral mourners, is separated by a wall because women have to serve foods and wail at the backside. Space for everyday life is separated by man/woman, insider/outsider, master/subordinate. Agricultural production is also key factor of the space allocation: big storage buildings for rice crop needed to tenant farming. Both activities of ancestor worship ceremony and guest greeting need large kitchen annex area for food preparation and serving space of rear veranda floor. A number of guests visit the house: guest-greeting activity is taken place from the family pavilion, Neungheo-Jeong and Saranchae by the social position. This study show that architectural space and form of the house reflects exactly dwellers life.

  • There are various kinds of Large-Scale apartment sites in Seoul. There are more households in apartment sites than single family houses. Nowadays, it is easy to find a lot of apartment sites built in the style of a high rise building. On the matter of space, a building is influenced by the buildings near it. The influence a building has to another is different in both qualitative and quantitative ways. Therefore, in the case of apartment sites, the environmental surroundings of each household is affected by the nearby buildings. For these reasons, the environment is having more and more influence on the price of each household in apartment sites. This paper has defined Sunshine and Sky as the major environmental elements. In order to be analyzed, they have to be measurable. Thus, there are two types of variables in environmental surrounding of apartment sites, -the Duration of Sunshine and the possible amount of visible Sky- the significant variables which influence the housing price. This paper deals with the relationship between the possible duration of sunshine and the possible amount of sky a household is visible to. It focused on 62 different apartment sites which were built after 1990. It is based on the 3-dimensional Geographic Information System & Computer Aided Engineering for analyzing the sunshine simulation and the viewing simulation. This paper will be helpful for designing the apartment sites considering the balance between sunshine and sky.

Instrumentation and system identification of a typical school building in Istanbul

  • This study presents the findings of the structural health monitoring and the real time system identification of one of the first large scale building instrumentations in Turkey for earthquake safety. Within this context, a thorough review of steps in the instrumentation, monitoring is presented and seismic performance evaluation of structures using both nonlinear pushover and nonlinear dynamic time history analysis is carried out. The sensor locations are determined using the optimal sensor placement techniques used in NASA for on orbit modal identification of large space structures. System identification is carried out via the stochastic subspace technique. The results of the study show that under ambient vibrations, stocky buildings can be substantially stiffer than what is predicted by the finite element models due to the presence of a large number of partitioning walls. However, in a severe earthquake, it will not be safe to rely on this resistance due to the fact that once the partitioning walls crack, the bare frame contributes to the lateral stiffness of the building alone. Consequently, the periods obtained from system identification will be closer to those obtained from the FE analysis. A technique to control the validity of the proportional damping assumption is employed that checks the presence of phase difference in displacements of different stories obtained from band pass filtered records and it is confirmed that the "proportional damping assumption" is valid for this structure. Two different techniques are implemented for identifying the influence of the soil structure interaction. The first technique uses the transfer function between the roof and the basement in both directions. The second technique uses a pre-whitening filter on the data obtained from both the basement and the roof. Subsequently the impulse response function is computed from the scaled cross correlation between the input and the output. The overall results showed that the structure will satisfy the life safety performance level in a future earthquake but some soil structure interaction effects should be expected in the North South direction.

  • As outdoor environment become worse due to concentration of population in large cities, the importance of environmental control strategies such as the arrangement of green space or water space and ventilation paths, has been increasingly recognized. However, most of the studies focus on the assessment on outdoor thermal environment, few studies focus on the interrelationship between thermal environment in residential block and human thermal comfort. The aims of this study is to develop the outdoor planning method to reduce the heating/cooling load in an apartment unit or entire block by the sustainable approaches in outdoor environmental design. In this paper, on the basis of the prior studies, the effect of the outdoor thermal environment on human thermal comfort will be analysed.

Ubiquitous Vertical Farm의 u-주거공간 서비스 도출에 관한 연구 (A Study on u-Residential Space Service of Ubiquitous Vertical Farm)

  • Large-scale urban developments with increasing population and expansion of industrial facilities have destroyed the ecosystem. Consequently, the importance of vertical farm as a form of urban agriculture is increasing. However, such problems of vertical farms as economy and lack of awareness of residents are being raised. Firstly, this study derived types of vertical farm that are applicable to residential spaces through an examination of vertical farm buildings, and then inferred assessment items for a questionnaire survey for the development of u-services. Secondly, based on the issues deduced from the survey, u-services needed in vertical farm buildings were derived to use them as the basic data when we plan for a ubiquitous vertical farm building in residential space in the future. As result, the following uservices of ubiquitous vertical farm were proposed: u-notification service about the condition of crops from the aspect of growth management based on ubiquitous technology, remote/automatic control u-services, harvest information u-service for harvest management, recipe information u-service, and indoor air quality monitoring u-service, indoor environment adjusting u-service, and farm environment control u-service. Considering that many new buildings in Korea are residential buildings and many high-rise buildings are being planned, studies on vertical farm buildings must be continued.

Analysis of Living Noise in a Multi-unit Dwelling using Acoustic Simulation

  • More than half of Korea's urban population currently lives in multi-unit dwellings. This particular residence structure inevitably positions the living spaces of residents in close proximity to one another. Because of this proximity, the sounds of a particular household will transfer to other residents' units creating conflict between tenants. Efforts to alleviate this problem have been made in both the public and private sector. A prominent method of noise analysis between living units has been to make an actual sound measurement and obtain qualitative measurements from questionnaires. Although this method has been most widely used, such analysis requires a large amount of human effort and time. In addition, the questionnaire method fails to provide the objective information needed to accurately assess the noise situation. To overcome the inadequacies of this previous method, this study seeks to evaluate the applicability of an acoustic simulation method. Three types of living noises were analyzed to assess the noise levels passed between multi-unit dwellings. The acoustic simulation method was found to be more economical, efficient, and adaptable in information processing. The results of this study can be further applied to design and control living-noise through procedures such as acoustic absorption or space redesign.

근접굴착 시 기존건물의 영향을 받는 터널의 거동 (Behavior of the tunnel under the influence of a existing building during the adjacent ground excavation)

  • 건물하중의 영향을 받는 상태의 기존터널에 근접해서 터널보다 깊은 심도로 지반을 굴착하는 경우에 흙막이벽체의 거동이 기존터널의 존재로 인해 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그런데 지상 구조물에 의해 받는 영향에 대한 연구 예가 많지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존터널에 근접하여 지반을 굴착할 때 기존터널이 상부구조의 영향을 받는 상태에서 건물 위치에 따른 터널의 거동을 대형모형실험과 수치해석을 실시하여 측정하였다. 이를 위해 지표면에 건물하중이 없는 경우와 건물하중이 3가지 이격거리에 위치한 경우(0 m, 1D, 2D)에 대하여 각각 대형모형실험을 수행하였다. 본 논문에서는 흙막이벽체와 기존구조물의 영향을 받고 있는 터널의 거동에 대하여 연구하였다. 1 : 10의 축척으로 2.0 m (폭)${\times}$6 m (높이)${\times}$4.0 m (길이)의 크기를 가진 대형토조에서 실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과 흙막이벽체 배면에 있는 인접터널의 안정성은 근접굴착에 의해 뚜렷하게 영향을 받는 것으로 나타냈다.

연속체 모델과 지하구조물 고정단 모델의 비교를 통한 SSI 해석의 타당성 연구 (A validity study on SSI analysis by comparing the complete system model and the underground structure fixed-end model)

  • 최근 경주 포항 등 대도시에서 지진이 발생하고 이에 각 분야에서의 내진해석 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 기존 내진해석은 지상구조물과 지반을 따로 다루었기 때문에 지반과 구조물의 완전한 상호 동적거동에 대한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 건물만 고려하는 지하구조물 고정단 모델과 건물과 지반을 함께 고려하는 연속체 모델을 각각 적용하기 위해 MIDAS GEN 및 MIDAS GTS NX를 이용하여 민감도 분석을 수행하고 SSI를 고려한 동적해석의 타당성을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 대부분의 조건에서 지하구조물 고정단 모델이 연속체 모델보다 초고층 건물의 최대 순수 수평변위를 더 작게, 휨응력을 더 크게, 또한, 취약부의 범위는 더 작게 산출하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 내진해석 시 지반-구조물 상호작용을 고려한 연속체 모델을 사용하는 것이 보다 타당할 것으로 판단된다.

Design and Implementation of Indoor Positioning & Shortest Path Navigation System Using GPS and Beacons in Narrow Buildings

  • 실내 측위를 위한 기법으로 Fingerprinting, 삼변 측량을 이용한 실내 위치 측위 방법, Wi-Fi / Bluetooth 등 장비로 얻은 정보를 활용하여 사용자의 실내 위치를 특정 하는 것이 일반적이고 대표적인 방법이다. 하지만 이러한 방법들은 실내 공간이 다수의 장비(AP, Beacon)를 설치할 수 있을 만큼의 장소가 마련되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 폭이 좁은 건물 등 기존 방식을 적용할 수 없는 건물 구조에서 GPS 신호와 비콘 으로부터 전달된 신호를 동시에 이용하여 건물 내 사용자의 위치를 표현할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 또한 최단 경로 탐색을 위해 가장 대표적이고 효율적인 최단 경로 탐색 알고리즘 중의 하나인 다익스트라 알고리즘(Dijkstra Algorithm)를 적용하여 최단 경로 탐색 시스템을 설계 구현했다. 제안된 기법은 향후 건물 구조 특성을 고려한 사용자 실내 위치 측정 방법 중 하나로 고려될 수 있을 것이다.

공간구문론을 활용한 천안시 아파트단지 외부공간의 시기별 접근성 변화 분석 (Chronological Analysis on the Accessibility Change of Outdoor Space in Apartment Complexes in Cheonan City Using Space Syntax)

  • 본 논문은 천안지역의 아파트단지 외부공간을 분석함에 있어서 공간구문론을 활용하여 구성요소 간의 관계성을 기반으로 하는 각 구성요소들의 배치 속성을 단지 전체 차원에서 해석하는 것을 목적으로 하며, 본 연구에 대한 예비 연구적 성격으로 진행하였다. 아파트단지 외부공간이 모두 연결되어 있는 하나의 공간구조라는 관점으로 거주자의 보행에 기반을 두고 각 공간 및 시설로의 출입공간에 대한 접근성 변화를 분석하였다. 총 5시기로 구분하고, 아파트단지 외부공간에 위치한 시설 및 공간으로의 출입공간을 단위공간으로 설정하였는데, 본 연구에서는 단지주출입공간, 주동 출입공간, 단지내 상가, 관리사무소/경로당, 어린이놀이터, 주민운동시설 등 총 6개의 분석항목을 설정하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 단지주출입공간의 접근성은 거의 모든 시기에서 높게 나타났으며, 주동 출입공간은 전반적으로 낮은 접근성을 보이고 있다. 둘째, 단지내 상가는 접근성이 향상되고 있는 경향을 보이고 있다. 셋째, 주민공동공간으로 볼 수 있는 관리사무소/경로당, 어린이놀이터, 주민운동시설 중에서 어린이놀이터의 경우는 예외적으로 통합도 순위가 시기별 큰 변화 없이 일정하게 높은 경향을 보이고 있고, 관리사무소/경로당의 경우는 최근으로 올수록 통합도 순위가 높아지는 경향을 보여 접근성이 좋은 위치에 주로 계획되고 있음을 나타내고 있다.
