평행봉 몸 접고 2회전 뒤 공중 돌아 내리기 동작에 따른 착지동작의 성공요인 분석 (Analysis of Successful Landing of the Salto Backward Dismount on the Parallel Bars)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the mechanical factors that are crucial to the successful double salto backward piked dismount on the parallel bars. The subjects were 5 national gymnasts(G1: sucessed landing, G2: failed landing), two video cameras were used to record the dismount of the subjects. It summarizes that (a) It is important to make small slope angle(X axis, Y axis) at release, whereas it makes large shoulder angle and trunk rotation angle. (b) It is important to prepare landing in advance, reducing vertical velocity and making large hip angle at BTO(body take off). (c) It is also important to make small knee angle and hip angle, and reduce the angle of trunk rotation.

회전불변 객체 인식에 관한 연구 (On the Study of Rotation Invariant Object Recognition)

  • This paper presents a new feature extraction technique, correlation coefficient and Manhattan distance (MD) based method for recognition of rotated object in an image. This paper also represented a new concept of intensity invariant. We extracted global features of an image and converts a large size image into a one-dimensional vector called circular feature vector's (CFVs). An especial advantage of the proposed technique is that the extracted features are same even if original image is rotated with rotation angles 1 to 360 or rotated. The proposed technique is based on fuzzy sets and finally we have recognized the object by using histogram matching, correlation coefficient and manhattan distance of the objects. The proposed approach is very easy in implementation and it has implemented in Matlab7 on Windows XP. The experimental results have demonstrated that the proposed approach performs successfully on a variety of small as well as large scale rotated images.

대변위 및 대회전을 고려한 만곡된 쉘의 기하학적 비선형 해석 (A Geometrically Nonlinear Analysis of the Curved Shell Considering Large Displacements and Large Rotation Increments)

  • 기하학적 비선형 해석과정에서 일반적인 방법으로는 연속적인 하중증분단계의 기하학적 변위증분에서 절점회전이 미소하다는 가정에 의해 제한되어 접선강성행렬을 유도하고 유한회전의 영향을 증분평형 방정식의 반복계산하는 과정에서 고려하는 방법이 사용되고 있다. 그리고 개선된 방법으로는 미소회전증분의 가정을 무시하고 유한회전증분의 영향을 고려하여 접선강성행렬을 유도하는 방법이 Surana, Onate 및 Dvorkin 등에 의해서 개발되었다. 유한 회전을 고려하는 방법에서 Surana는 비선형 절점 회전함수를 가정하여 강성메트릭스를 유도하였으며 Onate와 Dvorkin은 전체좌표에서 회전각에 대한 회전행렬의 2차항까지를 고려한 강성메트릭스를 유도하였다. 본 논문에서는 유한요소의 기하학적 위치를 나타내는 변위함수의 방향 벡터를 삼각함수로 표현하여 연속적인 하중증분 사이의 방향벡터 증분을Tayler의 급수로 2차항까지 전개하므로써 비선형 회전 증분을 고려한 쉘 요소를 개발하였다. 기하학적 비선형 해석과정은 연속체 운동의 증분이론을 도입하여 Total Lagrange(T.L.)수식과 Updated Lagrange(U.L.)수식으로 비선형 거동을 해석하였다.

재료 특성에 기반한 철근콘크리트 휨부재의 소성회전능력 산정 (Evaluation of Plastic Rotational Capacity Based on Material Characteristics in Reinforced Concrete Flexural Members)

  • 철근콘크리트 구조물은 위험 단면이 휨강도에 도달하더라도 이 단면에서 소성힌지가 형성되어 휨모멘트가 재분배되어 곧바로 파괴에 도달하지 않는다. 이러한 소성힌지 영역에서 발생하는 비탄성 변형에 의해 소성 회전이 발생한다. 소성힌지길이는 주로 재료 특성에 영향을 받는다. 이 연구에서는 유로코드2에서 제시하고 있는 재료 모델로부터 산정된 휨곡률 분포로부터 소성힌지길이와 소성회전각을 일관되게 산정하였다. 재료 모델의 한계값 즉, 콘크리트 극한변형률, 철근 극한변형률 및 철근의 경화비(k)가 소성회전능력에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 해석 결과 콘크리트 극한변형률 및 철근 극한변형률이 증가함에 따라 소성회전능력이 증가하였고 특히, 철근의 경화비(k)가 증가함에 따라 소성 회전각은 크게 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 각 재료 모델의 한계값 결정에 세심한 주의가 필요할 것으로 나타났다.

Unscented Filtering in a Unit Quaternion Space for Spacecraft Attitude Estimation

  • A new approach to the straightforward implementation of the unscented filter in a unit quaternion space is proposed for spacecraft attitude estimation. Since the unscented filter is formulated in a vector space and the unit quaternions do not belong to a vector space but lie on a nonlinear manifold, the weighted sum of quaternion samples does not produce a unit quaternion estimate. To overcome this difficulty, a method of weighted mean computation for quaternions is derived in rotational space, leading to a quaternion with unit norm. A quaternion multiplication is used for predicted covariance computation and quaternion update, which makes a quaternion in a filter lie in the unit quaternion space. Since the quaternion process noise increases the uncertainty in attitude orientation, modeling it either as the vector part of a quaternion or as a rotation vector is considered. Simulation results illustrate that the proposed approach successfully estimates spacecraft attitude for large initial errors and high tip-off rates, and modeling the quaternion process noise as a rotation vector is more optimal than handling it as the vector part of a quaternion.

  • A gyroscope is a rotating body possessing one axis of symmetry and whose rotation about the symmetry axis is relatively large compared with the rotation about any other axis. Tuning fork is this type of structure that various modem gyro-sensors are based on. In this paper, dynamic behavior of a cantilevered beam subjected ta a base rotation with respect to the eccentric axis that is parallel to the beam axis is analyzed. The final equations of motion in terms of generalized coordinates can be solved with numerical scheme with various values of angular velocities and angular accelerations of the rotating axis. In contrast to the case of rotating cantilever beam like helicopter blade, the rotational motion with respect to the beam axis has effect to decrease the stiffness of the beam and has unstable region depending on the magnitude of the rotational angular velocity and angular acceleration.

POLARIZATION OBSERVATIONS OF BACKGROUND RADIO SOURCES SEEN THROUGH THE SUPERNOVA REMNANT S 147

  • Linear polarization has been measured for fifteen extragalactic radio sources in the field of supernova remnant S 147. These observations were made at 4885, 4835, 1665, 1515, 1465, and 1385 MHz using the Very Large Array, primarily to determine unambiguous Rotation Measures (RM) of the sources. This yields a total of 11 new RM sources. Comparisons of a sample of sources which are seen through S 147 were made with sources located farther away. The result tentatively indicates that the distribution of the rotation measure of the former population is broadened, with more than a 85% level of confidence. This constitutes evidence that there is a SNR contribution to rotation measure in sources seen through the SNR. Limits on this RM contribution are statistically at 30 < | RM | < 70 rad $m^{-2}$ with a 85% statistical level of confidence. These result imply the magnetic field in the rim of S 147 has strength 10 microguass if the electron density is $1\;cm^{-3}$.

침자극에 따른 근전신호변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the EMG Signal Variation by the Acupuncture)

  • In this paper, we study myoelectric signal variation through kyungrak needle stimulation. The signal are detected from two kyunrak route of arm; before and after stimulation of a needle, and before and after needle rotation. The detected signals are analyzed at frequency domain to search a characteristic parameters. At the rotation method, spectrum denity of the signals varies large but spectrum is not detected before and after rotation. We can not see any relation bet ween spectrum variation and rotational direction. As the results, when the same stimulation method is used at two different kyungrak route respectively, it is found that the variation of the myoelectric signal is not same.

터보블로워용 헬리컬 기어의 접촉응력 해석 (Contact Stress Analysis of Helical Gear for Turbo Blower)

  • This paper presents the study on the contact stress analysis of a pair of mating helical gears for turbo blower during rotation. Turbo blowers need high speed rotation of impeller in structure and high rate gear ratio. The use of helical gear indicated that noise was an important problem when the application involves high speeds and large power transmission. An example is presented to investigate the variation of contact stress on a pair of mating gears with contact positions. The variation of contact stress during rotation is compared with the contact stress at the lowest point of single tooth contact(LPSTC) and AGMA Equation for contact stress. In this study, the gear design considering the contact stress on a pair of mating gear is more severe than that of AGMA standard.
