수주생산업체를 위한 납기일 결정 시스템의 개발 (Delivery Date Decision Support System for the Large Scale Make-to-Order Manufacturing Companies: An Electric Motor Company Case)

  • In the make-to-order (MTO) manufacturing environment, one of the important issues is setting attainable delivery dates for customer orders, which significantly affects the performance of the MTO manufacturing. Although this topic has received considerable attention in the literature, most of the efforts took a lower level approach that is concerned primarily with the effect of various delivery date assignment methods on the relative performance of some dispatching rules. This paper proposes the delivery date decision support system which takes a higher level approach of integrating the marketing and production planning functions with the consideration of the current capacity and the workload smoothing. The proposed system has been implemented in a Rotating Machinery Shop and the results of the implementation showed good performance.

  • Gas turbine systems are applied extensively in energy supplies to cover peak load requirements. The gas turboset must be accelerated by starting device up to 60%~80% of rated speed to ignite the gas turbine. Recently, the most favorable and economical starting device is the LCI(Load Commutated Inverter). The LCI runs up the gas turboset by feeding the generator as a synchronous motor. In this paper, we discuss in detail the driving principles and features of 183MW gas turbine system. During field application of LCI system, many tests have been conducted and the results were described in this paper. The test results will be considered as the important resources for development in future.

  • This paper presents a framework for the hierarchical PPC(Production Planning and Control) in make-to-order environment with job shop. The characteristics of the environment are described as : 1) project with non-repetitive and individual production, 2) short delivery date, 3) process layout with large scales manufacturing. 4) job shops. The PPC in a make-to-order typically are organized along hierarchical fashions. A model is proposed for the hierarchical job shop scheduling based on new concepts of production system, work and worker organization. Then, a new integrated hierarchical framework is also developed for the PPC based on concepts of the proposed job shops scheduling model. Finally, the proposed framework has been implemented in the Electric Motor Manufacturing and the results showed good performance.

  • There is few study which automatically diagnoses the fault from ship's monitored data. The bigger control and monitoring system is. the more important fault diagnosis and maintenance is to reduce damage caused by system fault. This paper proposes fault diagnosis system using a correlation analysis algorithm which is able to diagnose and forecast the fault from monitored data and is composed of fault detection knowledge base and fault diagnosis knowledge base. For all kinds of ship's engine room monitored data are classified with combustion subsystem, heat exchange subsystem and electric motor and pump subsystem, To verify capability of fault detection, diagnosis and prediction, FMS(Fault Management System) is developed by C++. Simulation by FMS is carried out with population data set made by the log book data of 2 months duration from a large full container ship of H shipping company.

  • There is few study which automatically diagnose the fault from ship's monitored signal. The bigger control and monitoring system is, the more important fault diagnosis and maintenance is to reduce damage brought forth by system fault. This paper proposes fault diagnosis system using a correlation analysis algorithm which is able to diagnose and forecast the fault and is composed to fault detection knowledge base and fault diagnosis knowledge base. For this all kinds of ship's engine room monitored data are classified with combustion subsystem, heat exchange subsystem and electric motor and pump subsystem by analyzing ship's operation data. 회전기의 기여에 의한 시변성의 순간전압강하 예측에 관한 연구 (Investigation of the Estimation of Time-Varying Voltage Sags Considering the Short Circuit Contributions of Rotating Machines)

  • In this article, 1 would like to explore the estimation method of time-varying voltage sags in large industrial systems considering the short circuit contributions of rotating machines. For the power distribution system of KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation), the magnitude of initial symmetrical short circuit current is generally not changed. However, in industrial systems which contain a number of rotating machines, the magnitude of voltage sag is generally changed from the initial to the clearing time of a fault due to the decreasing contribution of rotating machines for a fault current. The time-varying characteristics of voltage sags can be calculated using a short circuit analysis that is considered the time-varying fault currents. For this, the prediction formulations of time-varying voltage sags are proposed using a foreign standard. The proposed method contains the consideration of generator and motor effects. For the test of proposed formulations, a simple system of industrial consumer is used for the comparison conventional and proposed estimation method of voltage sag characteristics.

  • Recently, photovoltaic (PV) systems have been gradually applied in eco-friendly vehicle applications to improve fuel economy. The relevant market is expected to continue to grow because the installation of large-capacity PV systems to other eco-friendly vehicles, such as electric buses and trains, is being considered. However, in a PV system, power imbalance between submodules and low power generation efficiency occur due to factors such as cell aging, contamination, and shading. To resolve this problem, various differential power processing (DPP) converters have been researched and developed. However, conventional DPP converters suffer from large volume and low efficiency. Therefore, to apply DPP converters to eco-friendly vehicles, increasing efficiency and reducing volume and price compared with existing DPP converters is necessary. In this paper, a novel DPP converter with an integrated transformer is proposed and analyzed. The proposed DPP converter uses a single magnetic component by integrating transformers and secondary sides of conventional DPP converters. Therefore, the proposed DPP converter shows high power density and high efficiency, and it is suitable for PV systems in eco-friendly vehicle applications.

  • 발전설비의 대형화로 인하여 전력절감 문제가 크게 대두되었고, 팬이나 펌프를 부하 변화에 따라 속도제어하므로써 전기 에너지를 절약 할 수 있다. 1MVA급 단위 인버터 2대를 병렬 운전하여 대용량 2MVA GTO 인버터를 구현하였으며, 단위 인버터의 병렬 운전은 2대의 출력변압기 2차측 결선을 직렬 연결하여 구현하였다. 개발된 시스템은 제어반, 정류기반, 2대의 인버터반으로 구성되어 있으며, 이 시스템은 한국전력공사 성인천복합화력발전처 해수펌프 구동 유도전동기(6.6KV 1500KW)에 적용되어 전력절감에 기여하고 있다. 또 단위 인버터가 상호 180$^{\circ}$위상차를 갖도록 병렬 운전하므로써 고조파 성분을 저감시키면서 대용량을 구현하였다.

Continuous Sliding Mode Control for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Speed Regulation Systems Under Time-Varying Disturbances

  • This article explores the speed regulation problem of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) systems subjected to unknown time-varying disturbances. A continuous sliding mode control (CSMC) technique is introduced for the speed loop to enhance the robustness of PMSM systems and eliminate the chattering phenomenon caused by high-frequency switch function in the conventional control law. However, the high control gain of the CSMC law in the presence of strong disturbances leads to large steady-state speed fluctuations for PMSM systems. In many application fields, PMSM systems are affected by time-varying disturbances instead of constant disturbances. For example, electric bicycles are usually affected by changing environmental disturbances, including wind speeds, road conditions, etc. These disturbances may be in the form of constant, ramp, and parabolic disturbances. Hence, a generalized proportional integral (GPI) observer is employed to estimate these types of disturbances. Then, the disturbance estimation method and the aforementioned CSMC method are combined to establish a composite sliding mode control method called the CSMC+GPI method for the speed loop of PMSM systems. Contrary to the conventional sliding mode control technique, the proposed method completely eliminates the chattering phenomenon caused by the switching function in the conventional control law. Moreover, a small control gain for the CSMC+GPI method is chosen by feed-forwarding estimated values to the speed controller. Hence, the steady-state speed fluctuations are small. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified by simulation and experimental result.
