The Development for Change Detection Technique in the Remotely Sensed Images by GIS (GIS를 이용한 원격탐사영상의 변화탐지기법 개발)

  • The information about land use presents future development and vision being the basis of nation development; therefore, it is necessary to more active research that can detect wide land use and changes for the information and efficient management about land use. In this study, we wished to analyze effectively land use changes to Ansan city that is fast changing land use by the latest national land development and urbanization. this study executed land-cover classification using 4 year's Landsat TM images including Ansan city, and efficiently could manage the result of land-cover changes through Arc/Info GRID analysis. Especially, by using change detection system that is developed in this research, we could variously detect land-cover changes, and query and search easily past land-cover changes of pixels that correspond to specific region.

Estimating Pollutant Loading Using Remote Sensing and GIS-AGNPS model (RS와 GIS-AGNPS 모형을 이용한 소유역에서의 비점원오염부하량 추정)

  • The objectives of the paper are to evaluate cell based pollutant loadings for different storm events, to monitor the hydrology and water quality of the Baran HP#6 watershed, and to validate AGNPS with the field data. Simplification was made to AGNPS in estimating storm erosivity factors from a triangular rainfall distribution. GIS-AGNPS interface model consists of three subsystems; the input data processor based on a geographic information system. the models. and the post processor Land use patten at the tested watershed was classified from the Landsat TM data using the artificial neural network model that adopts an error back propagation algorithm. AGNPS model parameters were obtained from the GIS databases, and additional parameters calibrated with field data. It was then tested with ungauged conditions. The simulated runoff was reasonably in good agreement as compared with the observed data. And simulated water quality parameters appear to be reasonably comparable to the field data.

Property Analyses of Deposits and Landform in Tidal Flat using Satellite Image

  • Through the ISODATA method, the micro-landform of Julpo-Bay tidal flat was classified into mudflat, mixedflat, and sandflat using Landsat TM image. Each showed an apparent differences in its topographical characteristics and grain size composition. For example, mudflats are formed with flat faces and tidal channel of dissected gully. Its characteristics of grain size analysis that the grains have less than mean grain size 4 phi. Its sorting is bad (higher than 1 S.D.), and it showed strongly positive skewness. But sandflat is topographically flat without tidal channel. It has developed with ripple marks. According to the grain size analysis of deposits, the soil is coarse size with 90% of sand and its sorting is well(lower than 1 S.D.) Also, it showed strongly negative skewness. Mixed flat is in between mudflat and sandflat in its characteristics.

Characteristics of Multi-Spatial Resolution Satellite Images for the Extraction of Urban Environmental Information

  • The coefficients of variation obtained from three typical vegetation indices of eight levels of multi-spatial resolution images in urban areas were employed to identify the optimum spatial resolution in terms of maintaining information quality. These multi-spatial resolution images were prepared by degrading 1 meter simulated, 16 meter ADEOS/AVNIR, and 30 meter Landsat-TM images. Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Perpendicular Vegetation Index (PVI) and Soil Adjusted Ratio Vegetation Index (SARVI) were applied to reduce data redundancy and compare the characteristics of multi-spatial resolution image of vegetation indices. The threshold point on the curve of the coefficient of variation was defined as the optimum resolution level for the analysis with multi-spatial resolution image sets. Also, the results from the image segmentation approach of region growing to extract man-made features were compared with these multi-spatial resolution image sets.

  • 본 인구는 돌발홍수 예경보시스템의 수문학적 주요 구성요소인 한계유출량을 한강유역에 내해 산정하는 것이 주목적이다. 이를 위해 Landsat TM 영상자료로 추출된 DEM 자료로부터 미소 소유역($0.01\~56.7km^2$) 및 하천도를 추출하고, 자연하도 및 소유역 매개변수의 지역적 회귀분석을 통해 Manning의 제방월류 유량($Q_{bf}$) 및 GIUH의 단위도 첨두유량($q_{pR}$)을 계산하였다. 이러한 결과를 활용하여 한강유역 headwater 유역에 대한 1시간 단위의 한계유출량을 계산한 결과, 그 값이 $0.01\~1.29inch(0.25\~32.77mm)$의 범위를 보였으며, 상류쪽 유역이고 유역면적이 작은 소유역일수록 한계유출량이 작게 산정되었다.

Standardized Agricultural Land Use Classification Scheme at Various Spatial Resolution of Satellite Images

  • This study is to present a standardized agricultural land use classification scheme at various spatial resolution (from 1 m to 30 m) of satellite images including Landsat TM, KOMPSAT-1 EOC, ASTER VNIR and IKONOS panchromatic (PAN) and multi-spectral (MS) images. The satellite images were interpreted especially for identifying agricultural land use, crop types, agricultural facilities and structures of 18 items. It was found that there is a threshold spatial resolution between 4 m and 6.6 m to identify the full items. Thus it is suggested that IKONOS fusion image (MS enhanced by PAN) is required to produce land use map for agricultural purpose.

  • In this study, Ichon basin is selected as study area and regional analysis of geological structure are done by using lineament analysis. The factors which affects slope stability, are chosen, and integrated to database using GIS (Geoscientific Information System). Landsat TM band 4, 5 and 7 are choosen and processed by various image enhancement technique to analyse the regional geological lineaments. Spatial distribution of lineament is analysed through lineament density map and study area can be divided the eight structural domains. Considering environmental geological characteristics of study area, rating and weighting of each factors for slope stability analysis are determined and spatial analysis of regional slope stability is examined through overlaying technique of GIS. The result of areal distribution of slope stability shows that the most unstable area is all over Mt. Buksung, Mt. Daepo, Mt. Songrim and Mt. Yankak.

  • 지난 몇 십 년 동안 한국에서는 도시의 확장으로 인해 인구 밀집지역에서의 토지이용이 급속하게 변화되었으며, 그 결과 도시의 환경은 악화되었다. 도시화는 도시민에 필요한 녹지의 크기와 수를 감소시킬 뿐만 아니라, 서식처 파괴의 원인이 되며, 적절한 녹지의 배치 또는 배열이 이뤄지지 않을 경우 도시내 생태적 기능의 결핍을 초래한다. 경관변화의 증명과 분석은 토지이용변화의 환경 요소의 인과관계 파악에 중요하다. 원격탐사와 지형정보체계는 토지이용 변화의 경향과 영향을 이해할 수 있어 녹지공간변화 파악에 사용된다. 원격탐사는 동일대상지의 다른 시기에서의 영상자료를 이용해 토지이용의 경년변화를 파악하며 지형정보체계는 이를 저장, 분석에 활용되고 있다. 본 연구는 원격탐사와 지형정보체계를 이용하여, 1989년부터 1998년 동안, 대전광역시의 토지이용 변화를 파악하며 그 원인을 살펴보는데 있다.

  • 환경이 하나의 도시계획 요소로 작용하고 있는 상황에서 기후요소인 바람을 도시계획시 고려하여, 기존의 도시계획과는 다른 관점을 제시해 주는 분석시스템이다. 기상자료 및 해당 도면의 속성자료를 토대로 GRID분석과 Kriging보간 알고리즘을 구현하여 대상지역의 온도분포 및 바람흐름, 바람통로를 찾아내고자 하였다. 기후지도를 이용하여 주요 바람길을 파악할 수 있으며 대상지내 신선한 공기가 시작되는 녹지들을 추출하여 녹지계획의 핵으로 정한다. 녹지의 핵으로부터 각각의 녹지로 연결되는 바랑의 길을 분석하여 도시계획업무추진 시 바랑통로가 단절된 곳이나 단절된 계획이 있는 곳을 파악한다. 그리고 바람통로를 위해서 보존할 곳과 올바른 바람을 유도할 곳 등을 생성한다. 또한 본 연구에서는 열섬현상이 빈번히 발생하는 대구시를 대상지로 정하여 Landsat TM영상을 활용 도시의 열섬현상을 분석하고 시스템을 통해 제작된 기후지도를 활용한 열섬 현상 저감방안도 모색하였다.

  • National Parks in Korea occupy about four percents of South Korean land. This paper aims to prove the potentiality of the application of remotely sensed data for the effective management of National Parks. Different satellite images such as Landsat TM, IRS-1C, Alternative image, and IKONOS image are analyzed for the detection of changes, the extraction of degraded areas, and the comparison of Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) in Bukhansan National Park. The artificial structures such as buildings and paved areas are overvalued in relatively higher resolution data. The result showed that the choice of images should be determined according to specific purposes and the combination of different resolution data may be the solution for the effective management of National Park.
