Ten species under three genera of the Laboulbeniales in South Korea are treated in this paper. Of these, Laboulbenia mudeungensis Y. B. Lee on Bembidion lissonotum Bates and Laboulbenia nogodanicus Y. B. Lee on Agonum buchanani Hope and Agonum sp. are new to science. Two species under two genera of Filariomyces and Misgomyces, and four species of Laboulbenia are new to Korea. They are Filariomyces forficulae Shanor on Labidura japonica De Hann, Misgomyces dyschirii Thaxter on Dyschirius ovicollis Putzeys, Chitonomyces iriomotensis Majewski on Laccophilus lewisius Sharp, Laboulbenia egens Speg. on Tachys gradatus Bates, Laboulbenia pedicellata Thaxter on Bembidion thermarum Motschulsky and Laboulbenia philanthi Thaxter on Philonthus wuesthoffi Bernhaur. On the other hand, two species of Laboulbenia are collected from the hosts not previously recorded in Korea. They are Laboulbenia flagellata Peyritsch on Platynus daimio Bates and Laboulbenia stenolophi Speg. on Philonthus longicornis Stenphens.

Among a large number of insects collected by the authors in 1991, thirteen species under five genera of Laboulbeniales have been obtained from sourthern of Korea; Chitonomyces chinensis on Laccophillus difficilis, (Dytiscidae, Coleoptera), Chitonomyces melanurus on Laccophillus difficilis, (Dytiscidae, Coleoptera), Chitonomyces paradoxus on Laccophillus difficilis, (Dytiscidae, Coleoptera), Dichomyces furcifer on Philonthus amicus (Staphylinidae, Coleoptera), Dichomyces homalotae on Atheta sp. (Staphylinidae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia acupalpi on Acupalpus inoratus (Carabidae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia flagellata on Anisodactylus tricuspidatus (Carabidiae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia proliferans on Chlaenius naeviger (Carabidae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia tachys on Tachys laetificus (Carabidae, Coleoptera), Laboulbenia vulgaris on Bembidion scopulinum (Carabidae, Coleoptera), Rickia ancylopi on Ancylopus melanocephalus (Endomychidae, Coleoptera), Zodiomyces subseriatus on Helochares lentus (Hydrophilidae, Coleoptera), and Zodiomyces vorticellarius on Helochares lentus (Hydrophilidae, Coleoptera). Among these species, three species and a genus Zodiomyces (L. proliferans, Z. subseriatus and Z. vorticellarius) are newly reported to the flora of southern Korean region.

Three species of the Laboulbenia are newly described from Korea. Laboulbenia borealis were collected from the sternites of the back abdomen of Gyrinus japonicus. L. humilis were collected from the upper side of the abdomen of Chlaenius naeviger. L. benjaminii were collected from the abdomen of Stenolophus difficilis.

Three species belong to the genus Laboulbenia were collected on Carabidae (Coleoptera) and Harpalidae (Coleoptera) from several regions of Korea. Laboulbenia anoplogenii Thaxter was collected from Stenolophus quinquepustulatus Widemann. The characters of this species are the fourth layer of receptacle consisted of two or three cells and the distal end of its posterior cell projecting upward. The thalli were produced on posterior and anterior legs of the hosts. Laboulbenia habui Terada was collected from Chlaenius variicornis Bates. This species is characterized by the basal cells of the secondary appendage composed of short-cylindrical cells, arranged alternately on a double row. The thalli were produced from the elytra and anterior abdomen of the hosts. Laboulbenia pallida Thaxter was collected from Anisodactylus signatus Panzer. This species is distinguished from other related species by the rounded tip of perithecium and the outer appendage branched on the basal cell. The thalli were produced on the posterior elytra of the hosts.

Eight species belonging to two genera of the Laboulbeniales, parasitic on the family Carabidae and Staphylinidae of the order Coleoptera, were collected from Upo natural swamp in 1996-2001. They are as follows; Laboulbenia anoplogenii parasitic on Platynus daimio, L. cristata on Paederus parallelus, L. egens on Tachys laetifica, L. flagellata on Platynus daimio, L. pedicellata on Bembidion morawitzi, L. philonthi on Philonthus wuesthoffi, L. stenolophi on Acupalpus inornatus and Philonthus longicornis, and Peyritschiella biformis on Philonthus micaticollis. Among these species, the genus Platynus as the host of L. anoplogenii and the genus Acupalpus as the host of L. stenolophi are new to science. Bembidion morawitzi as the host of Laboulbenia pedicellata and Philonthus micanticollis as the host of Peyritschiella biformis are new to Korea.

Three species which belong to two genera of the Laboulbeniales were collected on Dytiscidae (Coleoptera) and Carabidae (Coleoptera) from south Korea. Occurrence of these species has not been recorded in Korea. They are Chitonomyces orientalis Thaxter on Laccophilus lewisius sharp, Chitonomyces zonatus Thaxter on Laccophilus lewisius sharp and Laboulbenia gebleri Terada on Haplochlaenius constiger Chaudoir. Major characters of the three species are described and illustrated.

Three species of the Laboubeniales from Korea are described. They are new to the mycological flora of Korea. Corethromyces purpurascens on several parts of Ochthephilum densipenne, Laboulbenia barbara on the metasternum of Philonthus longicornis and L. compressa on the elytra of Harpalus tinctulus were found.

Two species of the Laboubeniales based on the Tibetan collections are described. They are new to the mycological flora of Tibet. Laboulbenia polyphaga found on several parts of Amara majuscula was characterized by having the outer appendages not ramified and simple. Peyritschiella protea obtained on the lower abdomen of Philonthus wuesthoffi, had two perithecia and two antheridia produced on the third layer of receptacle.

Five species belong to three genera of the Laboulbeniales were collected on Blattidae (Blattodea), Nitidulidae and Carabidae (Coleoptera) from Kwangneung Kyeonggido and some the others. They are Herpomyces periplametae Thaxter on Periplaneta japonica Karny, Herpomyces stylopygae Spegazzini on Blatta orientalis (L)., Laboulbenia yamadae Ishikawa ex Terada on Chlaenius variicornis Morawitz, Rickia pallodina Thaxter on Pallodes umbratilis Reitter and Rickia papuana Thaxter on Pallodes umbaratilis Reitter. Among these species, Herpomyces periplametae Thaxter and Rickia pallodina Thaxter are new to Korea.
