This study examines the relationship between emotional labor and depression in dental hygienists. Data were collected from 186 dental hygienists working in dental clinics in Daegu from early March to early April 2016. The survey was composed of questionnaires related to general characteristics, work-related characteristics, emotional labor, and depression. As a result of analyzing the subordinate factors of emotional labor, 57.0% of the factors of 'organization support and protection system' were the highest, and the effect of emotional labor on depression was 'emotionaldisharmony and damage', 'Organizational support and protection system', and especially, the ' emotionaldisharmany and damage' factors were 4.042 times higher than normal. The dental hygienist's degree of emotional labor risk is high, and education, prevention and management measures for emotional labor will be prepared. In addition, emotional labor affects the depression of dental hygienists as well, and comprehensive mental health measures are needed to take into consideration general and occupational characteristics that affect depression.
This is the report of a study carried out during the months of April to July in 1974, on the fisheries in regard to its labor management. At here the word of adjacent seas fisheries in Korea denotes the fisheries carried out by fishing boats for one or two boats trawling, purse seinning, shrimp trawling, and whale catching. For the objective of this above study the auther randomly selected 257 crew-members for the questionaires and direct interviews and, with this method, proceeded surveys and investigations on the following factors such as the organization and its functions, personel administration in regard to placement and merit system, regulations and rules of working, wages and salaries, welfare facilities or considerations, safety and sanitation, human relations within organization and cooperation, and thus covered the whole important factors with the modern management system. The results of the studies are; The factors above the standard level are only on those of organization and functions, merit system and placement and human relations and for the rest the judgement are to be laid as below the standard level. And particularly revealing the problems on the following factors; 1) Wages and salary particulary on the payment upon laid out, and the payment of wages in advance. 2) Welfare facilities such as of the insurance and crew members' welfare for the good use of leisure time. 3) Placement and merit system in regard to ite method of appointing or empioying 4) Regulations and rules of working in regard to the vacation or leave of absence. 5) Safety problem particularly on the matter of sanitation or hygene. 6) Coopertion on the matter of participation on the interested problems on both parties. The above points indicated are, methinks, all derived out of the out dated method of management. Therefore, for the improvement of the labor management, first of all, nothing is more urgent than to adopt the modern labor management method as well as to encourage and enlighten the social responsibilities burdened on the enterprise.
Recently Korean textile industry has been in the phase that requires its strategy change from the less-develped country style of the labor-intensive products to the developed country style of the technology-intensive products. It needs to make more efforts to develop the value-added products to meet the customer's various needs. In addition, development of technology, equipment, and design is required to implement its corporate strategy successfully. Although Korean textile companies have currently kept skillful labor and advanced equipments, they are losing their share in the international textile markets. This is mainly because corporate management has not been involved with efficient strategy. Strategy is an adoption of a company to environment by its corporate members, thus leading to the requirement of coordination of the main functions such as manufacturing and marketing. In fact, the coordination of the two departments toward reaching the corporate goal is not easy since the two are interested in different areas, respectively. Manufacturing people show their interests in production capacity, equipment layout, process technology, quality, purchasing, and labor while marketing people, target customer, product mix, advertisement, product specification, and customer service. For this reason, conflicts sometimes happen between the two departments. There are, however, many area that need a horizontal cooperation, for instance, in layout, process technology, product mix, and potential demand. Therefore, reciprocal coordination is necessary for achieving the firm's common objectives. This study was concerned with determining the factors that enhance the competitiveness of textile firms so that they could reach the common goal of the two departments with a horizontal collaboration.
This paper analyzes the reality of Myanmar workers' consciousness and reports the results of exploratory empirical studies that examined the influence of workers' consciousness on organizational commitment. To accomplish the purpose of the study, we performed conceptual and empirical research and mainly focused on empirical research through questionnaires on 262 workers in the manufacturing industry in Myanmar. Results of this empirical study are summarized as follow. First, the consciousness of the labor union of Myanmar labors such as 'Necessity of Union', 'Necessity of Strong Union', 'Militant Ideology' and 'Democracy' was high. The wage fair consciousness, which is a core consciousness related to the working conditions, is high, and class consciousness and collectivism, which are corporate and social consciousness, are also high but the 'growth ideology' and 'competitiveness ideology' are low. Second, the younger generation, less than high school graduates, and Yangon's workers have highly consciousness increasing the instability of industrial relations. Third, consciousness factors which have significant influence on organizational commitment were labor-management cooperation consciousness (+), democracy (-), competitiveness ideology (+), class consciousness (-) and authoritarianism (+). Lastly, implications and limitations of this empirical study, and suggestions for future research are suggested.
This study is to seek alternatives for regional governance related to transnational labor migration issues in Southeast Asia. This study examined the present situation and trends of labor migration in the region, reviewed involved transnational issues, and identified the current issues of governance to seek alternatives for regional governance. The increase in cross-border labor migration is no doubt a sign of growth and dynamism of the region and greater integration of their economies. But it also poses complex policy and management issues as well as transnational issues over such as unequal economic profits, illegal migration, human rights, and social security issues. In this reality, regional governance is a very important theme and the efforts to manage their migration inherently involve fundamental conflict and tension between related countries and regions. However, politics and governance of transnational migrant workers in Southeast Asia are still pursued at the national level. To resolve these issues, it is urgently required to secure not only collaboration between the parties concerned but also governance at the regional level. Findings of this study are: First, although labor migration has been a relatively long-time transnational issue, the history of addressing the issue at the regional governance is very short and still inceptive. Second, given its size, labor migration in Southeast Asia requires effective regional governance but no breakthrough was possible due to the conflict of interests between origin and destination countries and the conflict of logic between the labor market and the state. Third, the issue of labor migration is an important element for the formation of economic and socio-cultural communities the ASEAN countries have pursued. Fourth, it is urgently needed to seek alternatives for good and effective regional governance as a key to resolving these issues over migrant workers in Southeast Asia.

This study examined emotional labor, fatigue, and musculoskeletal pain in hospital nurses. The study sample included 235 hospital nurses. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression.The average emotional labor score was 3.27, and of fatigue was 2.04. The musculoskeletal pain score was 4.43. Emotional labor and fatigue are significantly positively associated with musculoskeletal pain(r=.180, p=.006; r=.278, p<.001). Emotional labor was positively associated with the degree of fatigue(r=.353, p<.001). The significant predictors of musculoskeletal pain for nurses were physical fatigue(${\beta}=.324$, p<.001) and gender(female)(${\beta}=.171$, p=.009), explaining 13.7% of the variance in musculoskeletal pain(F=16.271, p<.001). The results suggest that engaging in emotional labor related to nursing tasks increases the risks of fatigue and musculoskeletal pain. Therefore, it is important to develop a management program to relieve the emotional labor, fatigue, and prevent musculoskeletal pain for clinical nurses.
The sea of north-east Asia is biologically interrelated and one country's mishap in the management of fisheries could have a critical effect upon the other. Accordingly under the TAC system adopted by all the countries of Korea, Japan and China, the mismanagement o( trans-boundary fish stocks under the provisional fisheries agreement prior to the delimitation of EEZ could lead to the irrevocable depletion of fisheries resources in case of absence of close cooperation among the countries concerned. To tackle the problems above, it is necessary, from a short term perspective, to promote the combined efforts to do researches on fisheries resources, find ways to improve the transparency of fisheries management, adjust the fisheries management regulations of each country, standardize fishing gears and methods, and exchange fisheries-related statistics and data for socio-economic analysis and strengthen joint research activities for the mutual benefits. From a longer term prospective, regional fisheries organization need to be set up to oversee the whole area of north-east Asian sea. The organization as such could play a role in adjusting the conflicting interests of Korea, Japan and China, and efficiently manage the fisheries resources, which is complex and challenging in nature. In addition, unlike China, the historical fisheries relationship between Korea and Japan, spirit of reciprocity and the Article 62 of the United Nations Convention On the Law Of Sea need to be taken into account when seeking for fisheries cooperation between the two countries through the international specialization. In other words, the data obtained through the joint researches on the fisheries resources for the specific ocean along with such factors as capital, labor, fisheries technology and consumption of fish products could be used to assign the specific sector of fisheries to the country who has a comparative advantage, thus achieving the mutually benefiting results Up to the present, concerted efforts by Korea, Japan and China on the fisheries cooperation have been consistently made, but the results have yet to be materialized, It is also beyond doubt that governmental consultations among the countries should be made on a consistent basis, but non-governmental organizations' exchanges and related joint researches will more likely help bring about the desired fruition in a shorter time.

The major problems of food crop cultivation in Korea are low yield of most crops except rice. inefficient cultivation techniques for aged farmers. and low international competibility. Therefore, development of cultivation techniques of food crops should aim the yield. quality improvement, labor reduction and production cost. The primary issue for increasing the yield of soybean, barely and wheat is to reduce the yield gap between the farmer's yield and recommended ones of experiment station. More advanced cultivation techniques needs to be developed. and/or the conventional breeding methods to be reconsidered. The newly developed labor-saving mechanized technique needs to reduce labor hours , and the cost of agricultural implements and machineries. In other words the labor-saving mechanized technique should be developed based on the improvement of total farming system as well as systemic fundamental innovation of cultural methods. The efficiency of solar energy use in food production of Korea in 1997 is as low as $0.52{\%}$ so there is much room to increase yield. It is recommendable that the concept of food Production should be changed to energy Producing efficiency Per unit area basis from volume and weight of food materials. Moreover, introduction of resonable cropping system is needed to increase yield of main crops, farmer's income, solar energy use efficiency, and decrease of land service expenditure. Current cropping system emphasized on economic crops. especially in vegetables , is not desirable for resonable use of arable land. stability of agricultural management and staple food crop self-sufficiency ratio. It is desirable to increase food crops . that are energy of carbohydrate and protein rich and land dependent crops. in cropping system. And the agronomist should develop the cultural methods to replace food crops for food self-sufficiency and stable farming management instead of economic crops in current cropping system. Low-input and environmentally-sound crop cultivation techniques, especially nitrogen-reducing culture technique which is directly related to food crop quality, also needs to be developed urgently. The extended cultivation of corn in upland and barely and wheat in lowland as a feed stuffs is recommended to prevent further decrease of food self-sufficiency ratio, which is mainly caused by the high reliance on imported feed grain. It is also considered that the calculation and presentation methods of standard agricultural income needs to be improved. The current calculation method uses unit land area of 10a regardless of crop kinds , characteristics of agricultural management and cultivation scale. So, it is apt to lead misunderstanding of farm income value. Therefore. it should show an income of average farmers for certain number of years. Research and developing system for food producing is not desirable because they are conducted currently individual crop and mono-culture basis. But actual agricultural income is usually earned by cropping system including upland and lowland. For example. the barley and wheat is usually cultivated in double cropping system. The cooperation among research institutes such as university agribusiness. government and farmers is indispensible. The public information and education on importance and consumption habit of food crops is necessary in Korean society to increase food self-sufficiency through nationwide cooperation.

The small group activities (SGA) was introduced into some of enterprises in Korea in 1967 and plant division, Saemaul undong Headquarters had encouraged Quality Control Circles (QCC) within the manufacturing corporations in assistance of central government. Registered small groups as of august 31, 1984 amounted up to 78,243 units and the number of members were 791,512. Meanwhile, small and medium industries have mostly introduced small group activities considerably later and less actively managed than large business. Main reasons for the less effectiveness of the activities are due to lack of management skills and less awareness of it from management and workers group. Effective small group activities are presumed to be successful only with labor management cooperation on the basis of human-oriented management philosophy. The small group activities are also prevalent in service sector. More derivative methods have been developed and more members are willingly participating in training programs. The small group which is basically a horizontal organization unit, promotes communication within the whole organization. In consideration of the social circumstances and traditions, the flexible model of the small group activities suitable to the corporate environment, will contribute to industrial development.

This study public hospital productivity and private hospitals, comparative analysis was divided into capital productivity, labor productivity, value-added productivity, based on the findings public hospitals are able to ensure the public interest to provide stable and profitable health services of good quality. It proposes measures to improve productivity.
