Sphingolipids are important structural components of the stratum corneum lipids and serve the epidermal permeability barrier function. Recent investigations on biological activities of sphingolipids have revealed that they have a number of important biological functions in the cell such as cell proliferation and differentiation, anti-inflammation, mediation of signal transduction and many more.(omitted)

현재 우리의 7차 교육과정에서 교육의 보조 도구로써 교실에서 사용될 수 있는 것은 별로 많지 않다. 그래서 AvaLab은 이 시점에서 좋은 도구가 될 수 있다. AvaLab은 컴퓨터에 익숙하지 않은 학생을 위한 GUI 프로그래밍 도구이며, 현재의 교육 과정에서 필요로 하는 창의성을 키우기 위한 한 도구로써 교실에서 사용될 수 있다. 사용하려면, 먼저 학습자는 프로그래밍 아이디어를 생각하고, 아이콘 기반의 AvaLab을 통하여 프로그래밍한다. 프로그래밍 후에 학습자는 로봇의 결과를 생각하고 토론할 수 있다. 만약 그 결과가 정확화지 않다면, 로봇은 피드백을 보일 젓이다. 그러므로, AvaLab은 초보자를 위한 도구이며, 7차 교육과정에 적합한 도구이다. AvaLab의 특징 중 하나는 아이콘 기반의 흐름도 모델로 구성되어 있다는 것과 학습자는 입력과 출력 센스를 갖는 로봇을 이용해 실습할 수 있다는 것이다.

This study was carried out to investigate distribution of homofermentative lactic acid bacteria(LAB) and heterofermentative LAB during kimchi fermentation period. The number of heterofermentative LAB was decreased during the fermentation. The ethanol extracts of Lithospermum erythrorhizon and Sophrora flavescens AITON showed strong antimicrobial activities against both homofermentative LAB and heterofermentative LAB. The extracts of Glycyrrhiza uralensis and Curcuma longa showed stronger antimicrobial activity against hetrofermentative LAB than against homofermentative LAB. the antimicrobial activities of the plant extracts against LAB were accelerated by mixing of two or three kinds.

A newly synthesized thiazolodinedione derivative, CKD-501, was confirmed to have antihyperglycemic effect in in vivo study. The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of CKD-501 on glucose transport and its stimulating mechanism in L6-myotubes. L6-myoblasts were cultured and differentiated to myotubes by reducing serum concentration in media from 10％ to 2％. (omitted)

Cadmium is well known as a toxic metal and has insulin mimicking effects in rat adipose tissue. To investigate the effect of CdCl2 on glucose transport and its mechanism, this study was performed in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. 10 and 25mM of CdCl2 exposed to cells for 12 hours increased 2-deoxyglucose uptake to 2.2 and 2.8 fold, respectively. Nifedipine, a calcium channel blocker, inhibited the 2-deoxyglucose uptake stimulated by CdCl2. (omitted)
