지반하중조건에 따른 숏크리트 거동의 수치해석적 검증

  • 본 논문은 터널의 지반-지보재 상호 거동을 규명하기 위한 연구로서 주지보재인 숫크리트의 균열, 파괴하중 및 변형거동을 실물크기의 갱도모형실험을 통해 확인하고 3차원 수치 해석을 실시하여 각각의 결과를 비교 검증하였다. 갱도모형 실험은 실제 터널과 유사한 크기의 터널을 제작하여 11개 실린더에서 측압조건에 따라 하중을 가하여 실험을 수행하였다. 3차원 수치해석 모델링은 갱도모형실험과 가능하면 같은 조건으로 해석하기 위하여 모형실험으로부터 로드셀 및 LVDT를 통해 얻은 하중-변위곡선이 수치해석 시에도 재현되도록 하여 수행되었다.

  • In this study, we presented a system to measure inside diameters of parts of compressor. This system solved problems of air micrometer and improved measurement accuracy by using linear variable differential transformer. The system was designed for production line which require accurate and reliable measuring system. And the system is easier and faster to use than air micrometer and can be applied various measuring area.

  • Measurement of beam deflection is a common procedure to determine proper behavior of the structure. Either LVDT (Linear Variable Displacement Transformer) or strain gauge is usually used in experiments. A newly developed coordinate reading measurement system can be also applied for the deflection measurements. In this study, an experimental measurement was made on a laboratory size beam specimen to examine the possibility of the use of such coordinate measurement system. Results have shown the possibility of utilizing the new system for beam deflection measurement.

  • An active stick which has the variable force-feel characteristics is developed. A combined position and force control strategy is mechanized using a 2-axis built-in force sensor and LVDT. The 2-axis force sensor which measures the stick force felt by the operator is developed by using strain gages and appropriate instrumental amplifiers. A mathematical model of the active stick dynamics is derived, and compared with the experimental results. The frictional torque of the stick due to the mechanical contacts of several parts makes the experimental frequency responses to be dependent on the magnitude of excitation signal, and the precision closed loop control to be difficult.   • Before resin composites can serve as durable substitutes for amalgam restorations, the adhesive system used to retain them and add to seal dentin must be improved. The recent observations, using the newly developed LVDT (linear variable differential transformer) probe, that all commercial bonding systems cause a collapse of the demineralized dentin matrix, simulated a re-evaluation of the effects of these formulations on the matrix. The experiment was begun by examining solvents such as water-HEMA mixtures. These produced the same shrinkages as did the complete formulations.(omitted)

  • So many springs in the rail road trains have been degeaded by the long time operation. Specially vibrations makes worse the condition of the springs. The performance evaluation technique for the rail road spring was developed. Using integrated handy tools using hydraulic systems, LVDT, and related software, On-line evaluation is possible to check the system integrity.

  • This paper presents a new concept to implement and to control of tactile reproduction simulator by implementation of compliance emulator system. Compliance emulator system is a kind of levitation system using magnetic force. In the compliance emulator system, a floated plate moves vertically. When an external force is applied to the plate, the system produces a controlled reaction force by using 6 electromagnet. For the control, a LVDT displacement sensor and PD control method is used.

  • This paper describes the design of a force applying system for a smart phone curved glass molding system and its characteristic test. The force applying system is composed of a motor and gear, a rectilinear movement structure, a force sensor, an LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) sensor, an up and down moving block, and so on. The system precisely controls the applying force and time to the plane glass because the glass can be easily destroyed under applied force, and can be bent imperfectly. As a result of the characteristic test, the curved glass can be manufactured using this system, and the holding time under 0N force, the applying force to the plane glass, the time for applying from 0N to maximum force, and the holding time under maximum force at the manufacture feasible temperature $620^{\circ}C$ were found.

  • In this study, we develop a pressure observer to measure the cylinder length of a harbor-construction robot. For the robot control, sensors are required to measure the length of a hydraulic cylinder. The cylinder-position sensor is relatively expensive when the operating environment prohibits external approaches for the measurement of the cylinder position. LVDT or linear scales are usually mounted on the outside of the cylinder, which causes poor durability on a construction site. We use a pressure sensor to indirectly estimate the length of the cylinder. The pressure sensor is mounted inside a hydraulic valve box so that it is protected by the box and easy to waterproof for an underwater robot. By treating oil as a compressible fluid, we derive the nonlinear pressure dynamics as a function of the cylinder position, velocity, and pressure. The recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm is applied to identify the dynamic parameters, and the pressure observer estimates the cylinder position through the pressure acting on the head and the rod of the hydraulic cylinder. The position accuracy is relatively low, but it is acceptable for a construction robot that handles large armor stones.

Shear Behavior Prediction of Reinforced Concrete Columns Using Transformation Angle Truss Model (변환각 트러스 모델에 의한 철근콘크리트 기둥의 전단거동 예측)

  • This paper predicted the shear behavior of reinforced concrete columns using Transformation Angle Truss Model (TATM) considered the effects of bending moment and axial force. Nine columns with various shear span- to-depth ratios and axial force ratios were tested to verify the theoretical results obtained from TATM. Fine linear displacement transducers (LVDT) were attached to a side of the column near the shear critical region to measure the curvature, the longitudinal and transverse axial deformations, and the shear deformation of the column. The test was terminated when the value of the applied load dropped to about $85\%$ of the maximum-recorded load in the post-peak descending branch. All the columns were failed in shear before yielding of the flexural steel. The shear strength and the stiffness of the columns increased, as the axial force increased and the shear span-to-depth ratio decreased. Shear stress-shear strain and shear stress-strain of shear reinforcement curves obtained from TATM were agreed well with the test results in comparison to other truss models (MCFT, RA-STM, and FA-STM).
