Automatic train control system of Light rail transit for Rubber Tire (고무차륜 경량전철용 자동운전 시스템의 제어방법)

  • This paper proposes the Train Control System for the LRT(light rail transit). With regard to information processing in car, we build a computer network in the car, turned the hardware required for train control into software, and developed the Train Control Monitoring System(TCMS) and ATC. Drive Type of Train control system car can drive with Driverless mode basically, and this paper applied 10Mbps special communication type for car control, data analysis, The propulsion efforts and breaking effort can control the cars. It is used Vector Control in Propulsion control and proposed Operating pattern for Propulsion control thinking Operating data of Rubber Tire LRT.

  • The metropolitan cities and operation companies of urban transit railway are driving to construct the LRT(light rail transit) system because of the advantage of construction cost and environmental serviceability. This study suggests the optimal design method of steel box girder considering dynamic characteristics of LRT with rubber wheel. The behavior and design constraints are formulated based on the structural design criteria for LRT. Genetic algorithm is applied to the minimum weight design of structural system. A typical example is solved to illustrate the applicability of the proposed minimization algorithm. From the results of application example, the optimum design of steel box girder is successfully accomplished. Therefore, this system can act as a consultant to assist novice designers in the design of steel box girder for LRT with rubber wheel.

However, the domestic business system engineering of light rail-related companies in the developed countries are doing to advance to the national to the local engineering skills of the self-free, hurry will have to be secured. Therefore, this paper applies local light rail project on the status of the systems engineering analysis and based on this source of the latest engineering technology-intensive systems engineering to provide direction to the development of technology.

  • The study suggested a demand forecasting method which explicitly reflects transfer between various transport modes especially related light rail transit project with multi-modal transit system. The suggested method classifies several groups depending on characteristic of trips and applies different demand model for each group to explain travel pattern more realistically More specifically. the trips was classified by trips within the LRT route, trips between inside and outside of the LRT route. and through trips via the LRT route. The study also suggested a evaluation measurement of time saving due to the LRT construction, which are consistent along with the do-case and the do-nothing-case even though some mode shift could be happen after introducing the LRT.

  • MAGLEV(Magnetic Levitation) with Middle-low speed be classified as a kind of LRT(Light Rail Transit) in KOREA. Also this vehicle has adopted LIM propulsion method. The MAGLEV has adopted LIM type in operational or developing model in the world. The power rail of LIM is very similar with the 3th rail of LRT in the functional property but the structure and shape of power rail is different with that. WE have to search the optimal power rail system for Korean MAGLEV vehicle. In this paper, we suggest the conceptual design and direction of design for power rail of Korean MAGLEV developing.

  • This paper is a practical study on the development of SEMP template using SE & SW infrastructures. SEMP, which is a management system for systems engineers, has been developed for the LRT(Light Rail Transit) industry and has been tailored to suit domestic conditions. SE & SW infrastructures were developed to assist in creating an effective and efficient SEMP for the industry of this study. This paper proposes a method to reduce costs, manpower, and time for the LRT industry using SEMP based on SE & SW infrastructures.

  • This study is to prepare the emergency response procedures for an unmanned LRT (Light Rapid Transit) which is being commercially operated recently. This emergency response procedure adds several particular characteristics which happens in the hardware and software aspects at the unmanned LRT in addition to the present emergency response procedures. The emergency response procedure has to conform to the emergency response planning. For doing that this emergency response procedure includes three important sub systems. First of all, the functional emergency response system has been developed. Secondly, Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) is suggested for the better and faster emergency response between emergency response personnel and institutes. Thirdly, emergency response training and drilling system is also provided for emergency response personnel. Finally, a software program for emergency response training and drilling will be developed and suggested to be used for the emergency response personnel.

  • Recently, the bogie frame weight of Light Rail Transit system has been reduced in order to save energy and materials. However, this light weighted vehicle structure is very important to verify the fatigue strength at the development stage. Bogie system consists of bogie frame, suspensions, wheel-sets, braking system and transmission system. Among these components, the bogie frame is most significant component subjected to the whole vehicle and passenger loads. In this study, the bogie frame for the New LRT power car is evaluated to the static and fatigue strength. And the evaluation method is used the LRT Performance Test Standards Specification throughout the FEM analysis and static load test. The static and fatigue test results for the LRT bogie frame of power car has been appeared very safety and stable for the design load conditions.

  • Light rail transit(LRT) is a public transportation and mainly has an automatic driverless operation system. LRT project is a large scaled project which a construction cost is tens of billions of won per km. Systems engineering(SE) is an interdisciplinary approach and means to enable realization of successful systems. In this paper, we propose the systems engineering processes and their outputs list for the LRT project. And then, we present template and sample case of process output. We also present a case which carried out SE process by SE tool.
