  • In logistics decision making, Key elements in the design of any physical distribution are the location of depots and the distribution of goods from the depots to the customers. Considering open and close the depots, This paper presents a flexible analysis on the combined location-routing problem(LRP) the case for variation capacity of vehicle and customers demands each. The scenario examples are given the use of heuristic(Saving-Drop) in LRP types. The results is useful in apply to the logistics environment changes.

  • In order to maximize the production of landscape plants in optimal condition while coexisting with the environment in terms of precision agriculture, quick and accurate information gathering of the internal environmental elements of the growing container is necessary. This may depend on the accuracy of the positioning of numerous sensors connected to landscape plants cultivating system (LPCS) in containers. Thus, this paper presents a method for estimating the location of the sensors related to cultivation environment connected to LPCS by measuring the received signal strength (RSS) or time of arrival TOA received between oneself and adjacent sensors. The Small sensors connected to the LPCS of container are known for their locations, but the remaining locations must be estimated. For this in the paper, Rao-Cramer limits and maximum likelihood estimators are derived from Gaussian models and lognormal models for TOA and RSS measurements, respectively. As a result, this study suggests that both RSS and TOA range measurements can produce estimates of the exact locations of the cultivation environment sensors within the wireless sensor network related to the LPCS.

  • One of the first decisions that a radio network designer must take is the location of base stations and the distance between them in order to give the best coverage to a region and, possibly, to reduce deployment costs. In this paper, the authors give an insight to this matter by presenting a possible solution to a real problem: Planning the base stations layout for a universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) in the city of Barcelona. At the basis of this problem, there is the interdependence between coverage and capacity in a wideband-code division multiple access (W-CDMA) system, which is a new element in the planning of BS layout for mobile communications. This aspect has been first treated with an analytical study of the cell coverage range for a specific environment and service. The achieved results have been checked with the help of snapshot simulations together with a geographical information system (GIS) tool incorporated in the simulator that allows to perform analysis and to visualize results in a useful way. By using the simulator, it is also possible to study a more complex environment, that of a set of base stations providing multiple services to a large number of users.

  • A method for estimating position is AOA, TOA, TDOA, Wi-Fi, Beacon etc. A method for estimating the location in indoor environment is used mainly Wi-Fi, Beacon. The reason is that AOA, TOA and TDOA are unfit to estimate position in indoor environment. To address this problem, this paper presents a AOA algorithm based on AP having a four directional antenna. The algorithm uses only the angle received from the four antennas. This can draw linear equations for signal. And calculate the intersections of the lines. Intersections means the position of user.

  • To ensure that the production system of a factory is efficient, the factory layout design should consider the location and material flow plans of facilities, workshops, and storage areas. Highly productive factories need to have an optimized layout planning process, and a customized design methodology of the production system is a necessity for feasible layout planning. This paper presents a method for designing a layout module's size and shape and provides a heuristic location-allocation algorithm for the modules. The method is implemented and validated using a rich internet application-based platform. The layout design method is based on the leisure ship production process; this method can be used for designing the layout of a new factory or remodeling an existing factory and its production system. In contrast to existing layout methods, the inputs required for the proposed method, such as target products, production processes, and human-resource plans, are simple. This layout design method provides a useful solution for the initial stage of factory design.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of young farmers' residential location characteristics. Based on residential location theory and previous studies on the stated preference for residential environment of young farmers, this study develops a spatial econometrics model using housing and neighborhood variables, accessibility variables, natural environment variables and farm economics and management variables. The findings suggest that the higher rate of young farmers has a positive relationship with higher population density, higher housing price, closer distance to city centers and Eup districts compared to Myeon districts. In addition, areas which have higher rate of farmers with high sales and growing certain crops such as fruits and vegetables are revealed to have higher rate of young farmers. This study presents that maintaining rural vitality is also crucial for attracting young farmers to rural areas and remaining them in the farm as active agricultural workforce.

  • This study was to evaluate of installation location and management problem for a closed circuit television according to the present situation and installation environment when the CCTV doesn't take a location, surrounding environment, mechanical function in the campus. This methodology used network analysis, mechanical characterization and Streetlight illuminance. As a result, we confirmed in Kyung-Buk National University that was problem of unrelated location of walk pattern in students, a short of illuminance location, only 25 CCTV can be used to crime prevention of student in the night but, the other one is need to some improvement under 44 CCTV.

  • In this paper, design of framework architecture of pervasive computing system providing seamless inter space interactions between private and public smart spaces is presented. The seamless inter space interaction issues are related to establishing user's service environment by allocating relevant resources in a new location where there are no prior settings for the user or where there are current users already being served in the new location. In the realm of pervasive computing, we can have different types of smart spaces, offering proactive and intelligent services, which are islands of smart spaces independent from each other. As users move about, they will have to roam from private smart space to public smart space and vice versa. When they enter a new island of smart space, they will have to setup their devices and service manually to get the same or different services they had at the previous location. Users might be living in a non-pervasive computing environment because this manual operation is inappropriate to its generic features of proactive and intelligent services of pervasive computing. The framework architecture will provide seamless inter space interactions initiated by changes in users' location to acquire negotiations of resources for new and current residents regarding service provision with limited available networked devices.
