축대칭 열간단조를 위한 자동설계 시스템 개발 (Development of an Automatic Design System for Axisymmetric Hot Steel Forging)

  • A hot forging product in general is produced through buster, blocker and finisher processes. Usually the processes including dies are designed by experienced forging engineers. However, due to the lack of such engineers, it is necessary to develop expert systems with which engineers of little experience can perform the design task. In the present study, an expert system is developed for axisyrnmetric hot steel forgings. It is a rule based system written in Fortran and AutoLISP, operating on a personal computer. In this paper, structures of the system are summarized and capabilities of the system are examined through several examples.

  • In this paper, a computer-aided design system for axisymmetric deep drawing process will be described. An approach to the system is based on the knowledge based system. The system has been written in AutoLISP with personal computer. The system is composed of four main modules, such as input , geometrical design, test & rectification and user modification . The system which aids designer provides powerful capabilities for the design of axisymmetric deep drawing process.

  • A program is developed for generations the dynamic equations for robotic manipulators using the symbolic language muSIMP/MATH. The muSIMP/MATH is a LISP-based computer algebra package, devoted to the manipulation of algebraic expressions including number, variables, functions, and matrix. The muSIMP/MATH can operate on IBM-PC compatibles with MS-DOS. The program is developed, on the e formalism. This is program is applicable to the manipulators of any number of degrees of freedom, maximum six degree of freedom in this program. To control robotic manipulators by using dynamic equation is required a symbolic equations. The generated dynamic equation can be applied directly to the robotic manipulators, for the generated dynamic equation is a reduced form of symbolic expression.

  • The multi-piloting type progressive die for U-bending sheet metal production part is a very specific division. This study reveals the sheet metal forming process with multi-forming die by center carrier type feeding system. Through the FEM simulation by DEFORM, it was accepted to u-bending process as the first performance to design of strip process layout. The next process of die development was studied according to sequence of die development, i.e die structure, machining condition for die making, die materials, heat treatment of partially die components, know-how and so on. The feature of this study is the die development of scrapless progressive die of multi-stage through the modeling on the I-DEAS program, components drawing on the Auto-LISP, CAD/CAM application, ordinary machine tool operating and revision by tryout.

  • In this paper, we have been concerned with development of plastic mold design system by using Auto CAD. We provides a interface and interaction for mold designer who can select optimal mold base and mold parts within Auto CAD environment. We use the paramatric design method and an essential elements group forms. This program made for using Visual Lisp, DCL and Visual Basic that could easily get a database which is built to mold base and parts within Auto CAD. We provide 6 types mold base and 35 parts database for designer. In addition, it will be lined to mold cost and not only 2-D but also 3-D models

  • The biggest challenge facing today manufacturing industry is better quality and high productivity. From an economic point of view, productivity is the most important parameter, as high productivity will reduce the cost. However, the customers of today are not only cost concerned, but also quality conscious. So high accuracy levels should also be achieved in the manufacturing process. This paper reports the development of a automatic design system based on AutoCAD program. This work is composed of three section that are design of top down menu, guide frame and gate lifter for water-gate programed by AutoLISP language and runned Windows system. The developed system ultimately generates the design for a water gate through AutoCAD program. In the design of the water gate, it needs about 23 hours with an expert, but this system can be only 80 seconds without an expert.

  • A roll forming process for an automotive part of high strength steel is developed. The preliminary flower is generated semi-automatically by an AutoLISP program. The roll forming process is approximated as a multi-step bending process and the preliminary flower is analyzed by the plane strain finite element method. Then, the first flower is selected and modified through the finite element analysis. With the final flower, forming rolls are designed and constructed. Experiments are carried out on a prototype roll forming machine.

  • This paper deals with the development of an expert system modeling by constructing a knowledge-based system of the dive recovery for anticrash on the ground or sea during the task of fighter aircraft. In an IBM PC / XT computer, a prototype dive recovery expert system is constructed using mu LISP-86 programming language, and is interconnected to the SAM SUNG RM-501 robot arm to test and simulate this model. The knowledge base of this model is composed of the dive recovery charts and the V-N envelope charts of F-4 D Phantom fighter aircraft. It is shown that the prototype expert system woks well and the feasibility of practical realization is valid.

  • The purposes of this study were to develope some techniques which can be used in the landscape simulation process using PC based computer grahics. As a result, a couple of utilities were programmed in AutoLISP language. The one(DSLINE.LSP) is to digitize 2-dimensional structuer forms in the interactive mode considering error handling, and the other one (IMPOST.LSP) is for superimposing and visualizing the digitized plan data to 3-dimension solids & surfaces referring to topographic elevations of meshes in digital terrain model. By applying utilities to present site, the followings may be described. 1) The utility DSLINE.LSP for digitizing simplified building structure form were proved to be easy to input data of polygons including orthogonal edges by handling user coordinates system and checking invalid intersection and default colsing. 2) IMPOST.LSP utility for superimposing and visualizing tool were proved to be more complicated and speedy in calculating process compared with a practical application of modeling tool before rendering process in landscape simulation of built environment on topographic relief, on specially mesospace level of assessment.

파형 구름 볼 감속기의 기구해석 및 설계 (Kinematic Analysis and Design of Wave Rolling Ball Reducer)

  • A new conceptual wave rolling ball reducer was proposed and investigated. The main components of the reducer were a eccentric input shaft and bearings, followers with balls, a flange, and a outer ring with waved groove. Followers moved along the holes of the flange according to the rotation of the shaft. And the balls installed in tips of followers were rolled with the waved groove of outer ring. When the shaft was rotated as one revolution and the outer ring was fixed, the flange was rotated as one wave. The kinematic analysis of the reducer carried out. The forces of each components were estimated, and the main design parameters were investigated. The design program using Visual C++ and Auto Lisp to determine the design parameters and to generate the drawing sheet.
