LED 구조 분석 설계법 (Design Method of Structural Analysis for LED)

  • 점광원 가정법은 광학계의 초점거리를 LED die 표면의 중심점으로 설정하고 LED 패키지의 발산형태는 이상적인 점광원으로 가정하여 설계하는 방법이며, 가초점 설계법은 focal smear라고 불리우는 초점영역의 가초점을 기준점으로 잡아 설계를 시행하는 방법이다. 실제 LED에서 빛이 발산하는 부분은 점광원이 아닌 부피를 가지고 있는 형태이기 때문에 점이외의 면에서 발생하는 오차와 가초점 영역 설정을 통한 설계는 결과에 오차를 발생시키게 된다. 따라서 구조 분석 실험 장비를 이용한 LED내부 구조를 분석한 후 이를 시뮬레이션 설계에 적용한 결과 기존 설계법에 비해 약 5%의 오차범위를 줄일 수 있었다.

  • This paper dealt with a design guide of LED luminaire standard for naval vessels. Several standards such as Korean Industrial Standard (KS), Korea Defence Standard (KDS) and US Military Standard (MIL) were compared in terms of safety and performance of lighting fixtures. The electrical and optical characteristics of the FL fixtures were experimentally analyzed to acquire design rules for LED luminaires. Based on the study results, we proposed the concept of a LED luminaire standard.

  • In this paper, we have designed a novel lens for LED's package that can expend the radiation angle of LED from $120^{\circ}$ to $170^{\circ}$ successfully. At the same brightness and uniformity condition of 37" LED BLU system, using novel lens LED package can be reduced amounts of LED 40% or thickness of BLU 30% respectively. Besides, the power consumption of BLU also can be reduced 25%.

  • In this paper, we described an approach to design of precision optical system for visual inspection of solder joint defects of SMC(surface mount components) on PCBs(Printed Circuit Board). The illumination system, consisting of three tiered LED lamps and one main camera and four side view camera, is implemented to generated iso-contour on the solder joint according to gradient of the soldered surface. We analyze LED design parameter such as incident angle, diameter of LED ring, and so on to acquire uniform illumination.

  • A direct-lit liquid crystal display that does not use color filters is proposed. A backlight unit that employs compartmentalized RGB LED and lenticular-lens arrays is used instead of color filters to direct the RGB LED lights into the RGB subpixels. The color-filterless LED backlight design, simulation, and experiment results are presented.

  • A liquid crystal display that does not use color filters is proposed. A backlight unit that employs compartmentalized RGB LED arrays and a lenticular lens array is used instead of the color filters in order to direct RGB LED lights into the RGB subpixels.   • 배광 분포 제어가 용이한 높이 분할방식 반사컵 설계를 수행함에 있어서, 배광 설계시 배광 분포의 설계오차를 줄이기 위하여, LED 칩 표면상의 광량 분포 변화에 따른 반사컵의 배광 특성 변화 경향성을 파악하여 최적 설계에 적용하였다. LED 패키지의 반사컵을 높이에 따라 2단 분할하여 최적 설계한 결과, 교차형과 비교차형의 조합 설계를 통해서 최대 광도와 균일도를 조절하거나 암흑 영역을 없애는 등 다양한 기능성 설계가 가능했다.

  • As developing the information society, Lighting Emitted diode(LED) which is light source for illumination of next generation is attracted public attention. LED have many problem as narrow light view angle, high price, drift phenomenon of color coordinate, high heating problem for lower power, lower weight and small size. So, many researches have continued in a illumination as LED module type. in this problem, heating problem is very important and difficult and that is caused in decreasing phenomenon of brightness and drift phenomenon of color coordinate. so the problem of heating is urgent question for illumination of LED. In this paper, structural design of PCB changed as two type for solving the heating problem. also the properties of heating is analysed and optical properties is measured with heating image camera and spectrometer according to change in this design.
