Developer roller of LBP(laser beam printer) cartridge made with magnetic substance and density of magnetic flux was decreased with the elapse of a year. Owing to this reason, quality of printing was decreased with decreasing of magnetic flux. This study investigated about the elapse of a year of magnetic substance and possible about usage of recycling production.

본고에서는 컴퓨터의 출력장치로서 최근 가장 인기를 얻고 있는 논-임팩트 레이저 페이지 프린터(non-mpact laser page printer), 즉 레이저 빔 프린터(LBP : Laser Beam Printer)의 성능 및 특성에 관한 고찰과 현재 시판중인 desktop 레이저 빔 프린터를 비교 분석하고 그 응용사례에 대해서 간단히 소개하고자 한다.

The performance of printer can be determined lots of factors such as the printing speed, resolution, image quality, first page out time, paper handling performance and acoustic noise. Among them, acoustic noise and image quality are closely related to the mechanism vibration in the printing operation. To improve these quality, it is important to understand the functions of all individual parts and their relations to entire system. In this paper, the principle of LBP is briefly explained and then the characteristics of printing noise and image banding are explained.

In this pape, we designed and implemented a hardware accelerator for the generation of bit map font from Hangul outline font description for LBP (Laser Beam Printer) and screen applications Whole system was implemented as a double size PC/AT application board which consists of processing bolck and display block. The processing block has a master processor (MC68000)and two slave processors which are MC56001 and KAFOG chip responsible for the short vector generation. In the display block, TMS34061 was used for monitor display and GP425 was used for LBP print out. The resolution of the monitor is 640$\times$480 and that of LBP is 2385$\times$3390. The current system called KHGB90-B generates about 100 characters per second where each character consists of 32$\times$32 bits

This paper proposes an implementation of ODIF(Open Document Interchange Format)decoder and PostScript converter. AS ODIF data stream based on IS 8613 is described according to ASN.1 notation it is necessary to decode ODIF data stream to the proper internal structure to PostScript format as proposed in order to make hard copies in good quality using LBP(Laser Beam Printer). Among several kinds of DA(Document Architecture) and DAP(Document Application Profile). PDA(Processable DA) and Core 26(Level 2 DAP) are selected for our study. An ODIF data stream submitted by ICL is used to show the conformance in the level of data stream.
