Design of patch antenna combined with slots for smart GPS module (Smart GPS 모듈용 슬롯과 결합된 패치안테나 설계)

  • In this paper, printed antenna which can be applied to a built-in wireless module of the security controller operating at global positioning system(GPS) L1 frequency band(1.575GHz) is proposed. The proposed antenna is basically composed of a microstrip patch antenna with inserting feed. In particular left and right slots which are respectively asymmetric are used for impedance matching, whereas slot with one open-end and shorting point are used on the bottom plane to set operating frequency and enhance bandwidth. It is observed at the desired GPS L1 frequency band that the radiation efficiency and gain of the proposed antenna are 90% and more than 4.8dBi respectively.

  • The period of a recent streamcipher proposal Edon80 is analyzed. The designers of Edon80 had projected a period of $2^{103}$ Even though this could indeed be the average keystream Period, we show that for a randomly chosen key-IV pair, there exists a non-dismissible probability that the produced keystream will be of relatively short period. More explicitly, a keystream of period. $2^{55}$ may appear with probability $2^{-71}$, and one can show the existence of at least one key-lV pair producing a period $2^{11}$ keystream.

  • It is hewn that we can apply algebraic attacks on combiners with memory such as summation generators. [1,8] To apply algebraic attacks on combiners with memory, we need to construct algebraic relations between the keystream bits and the initial bits of the LFSRs. Until now, all known methods produce algebraic relations involving several consecutive bits of keystream. [l.4.8] In this paper, we show that algebraic relations involving only one keystream bit can be constructed for summation generators. We also show that there is an algebraic relation involving only one keystream bit for ISG (9) proposed by Lee and Moon. Using this fact, we analyze the keystream generators which generate the keystreams by combining summation generators.

  • FreeS/WAN[l] 은 LINUX 상에서 네트워크 보안 프로토콜표준인 IPSEC을 구현한 공개 S/W이다. 현재 LINUX Project로 수행되고 있으며 1.91 version 까지 나와 있다. 라우터와 라우터간에 IPSEC을 사용하여 통신함으로써 access control, connectionless integrity, data origin authentication, protection against replays, confidentiality의 서비스를 보장받을 수 있고, 또한 이러한 서비스들은 IP 계층에서 제공되기 때문에 IP 계층뿐만 아니라 그 이상의 계층에 대한 보호를 제공한다. [2] 본 논문에서는 LINUX router에 FreeS/WAN IPSEC을 설치하여 Security Gateway를 구성하고, 이 Security Gateway를 통해 전형적인 가상사설망을 구성할 수 있음을 보였다. 양단의 Security Gateway에 설치되어진 FreeS/WAN으로 VPN connection을 설정하고, 인증방법으로 RSA authentication key를 setup 하였다. IPSEC을 통하여 암호화되어진 데이터로 양단의 Gateway 구간에서 보안통신이 이루어짐을 알아본다.

A Convergence Study on the Effects of NH3/NOx Ratio and Catalyst Type on the NOx Reduction by Urea-SCR System of Diesel Engine (디젤엔진의 Urea-SCR 시스템에 의한 NH3/NOx 비율 및 촉매 방식이 NOx 저감에 미치는 영향에 관한 융합연구)

  • Diesel engines have important advantages over its gasoline counterpart including high thermal efficiency, high fuel economy and low emissions of CO, HC and $CO_2$. However, NOx reducing is more difficult on diesel engines because of the high $O_2$ concentration in the exhaust, marking general three way catalytic converter ineffective. Two method available technologies for continuous NOx reduction onboard diesel engines are Urea-SCR and LNT. The implementation of the Urea-SCR systems in design engines have made it possible for 2.5l and over engines to meet the tightened NOx emission standard of Euro-6. In this study, we investigate the characteristics of NOx reduction with respect to engine speed, load, types of catalyst and the $NH_3$/NOx ratio and present the conditions which maximize NOx reduction. Also we provide detailed experimental data on Urea-SCR which can be used for the preparation for standards beyond Euro-6.

  • The perimeter intrusion detection system is very important in physical security. In this study, a micro smart device (module) using MEMS sensor was developed in IoT environment for external intrusion detection. The outer intrusion detection system applying the smart device developed in this study is installed in various installation environments, such as barbed wire of various materials and shapes, the city center, the beach, and the mountain, so that it can detect external intrusion and its location as well as false alarms. As a smart sensor that can minimize the false alarm rate and economical construction cost, it is expected that it can be used for the safe operation of major facilities and prevention of disasters and crimes.

  • 다중서명에서는 보안적 요소뿐만 아니라 다중서명의 길이, 다중서명의 생성 및 검증 시간, 복호화 시간, 통신량 등도 중요한 요소이다. 기존의 RSA를 그대로 이용한 RSA 원형 다중서명 방식과 RSA를 변형하여 적용한 RSA 변형 다중서명 방식은 다중서명의 생성 및 검증 시간이 각각의 개인서명을 생성하고 검증하는 시간의 합과 비례하여 증가한다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문은 서명자의 수만큼 분할된 각각의 부분메시지에 대해 RSA 방식을 이용하여 제각기 서명하는 다중서명 방식을 제안한다. 제안된 메시지 분할을 이용한 RSA 다중서명 방식은 블록의 수가 증가하지 않는 경우 기존 방식에 비해 다중서명의 길이가 증가하지 않으면서, 다중서명의 생성 및 검증 시간이 각각 $\frac{1}{L}$로 감소하고, 복호화 시간과 통신량은 각각 약 $\frac{1}{2}{\sim}\frac{1}{L}$로 감소한다.

  • Containerization, a lightweight virtualization technology, enables agile deployments of enterprise-scale microservices in modern cloud environments. However, containerization also opens a new window for adversaries who aim to disrupt the cloud environments. Since microservices are composed of multiple containers connected through a virtual network, a single compromised container can carry out network-level attacks to hijack its neighboring containers. While existing solutions protect containers against such attacks by using network access controls, they still have severe limitations in terms of performance. More specifically, they significantly degrade network performance when processing packet payloads for L7 access controls (e.g., HTTP). To address this problem, we present BPFast, an eBPF/XDP-based payload inspection system for containers. BPFast inspects headers and payloads of packets at a kernel-level without any user-level components. We evaluate a prototype of BPFast on a Kubernetes environment. Our results show that BPFast outperforms state-of-the-art solutions by up to 7x in network latency and throughput.

  • This paper reinforced security under the network evaluation of wire wireless integration of NEMO (NEwork MObility) supporting mobility and network-based PMIPv6 (Proxy Mobile IPv6). It also proposes $SK-L^2AS$ (Symmetric Key-Based Local-Lighted Authentication Scheme) based on simple key which reduces code calculation and authentication delay costs. Moreover, fast handover technique was also adopted to reduce handover delay time in PMIPv6 and X-FPMIPv6 (eXtension of Fast Handover for PMIPv6) was used to support global mobility. In addition, AX-FPMIPv6 (Authentication eXtension of Fast Handover for PMIPv6) is proposed which integrated $SK-L^2AS$ and X-FPMIPv6 by applying Piggybacks method to reduce the overhead of authentication and signaling. The AX-FPMIPv6 technique suggested in this paper shows that this technique is better than the existing schemes in authentication and handover delay according to the performance analysis.
