  • In the study, superconducting properties of $Bi_2$-x(sub)$LSr_2$Ca(sub)1+x(sub)$LCu_2$O(sub)8+d (x(sub)L=0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2) films prepared by the LPE method was investigated. The peak decompositions of Sr3d and Ca2p XPS spectra, together with the EPMA results, elucidated the occupancies of Bi, Sr and Ca atoms on the SrO- and Ca-layers. The lattice parameter c monotonically increased with increasing x(sub)L for $0\leq$x(sub)L$\leq$0.2. The superconducting critical temperature T(sub)c showed a maximum value around x(sub)L=0.1. The x(sub)L dependence of the superconducting critical temperature T(sub)c and the lattice parameter c are explained by the changes of the excess oxygens in the BiO-layer. Since distribution and deficiency of the atoms in SrO-layer have influenced on superconducting properties and crystal structure.

  • A 3-partite 2-digraph is an orientation of a 3-partite multi-graph that is without loops and contains at most two edges between any pair of vertices from distinct parts. Let D(X, Y, Z) be a 3-partite 2-digraph with ${\mid}X{\mid}=l,\;{\mid}Y{\mid}=m,\;{\mid}Z{\mid}=n$. For any vertex v in D(X, Y, Z), let $d^+_{\nu}\;and\;d^-_{\nu}$ denote the outdegree and indegree respectively of v. Define $p_x=2(m+n)+d^+_x-d^-_x,\;q_y=2(l+n)+d^+_y-d^-_y\;and\;r_z=2(l+m)+d^+_z-d^-_z$ as the marks (or 2-scores) of x in X, y in Y and z in Z respectively. In this paper, we characterize the marks of 3-partite 2-digraphs and give a constructive and existence criterion for sequences of non-negative integers in non-decreasing order to be the mark sequences of some 3-partite 2-digraph.

  • Let X be an integral Gorenstein projective curve with g:=pa(X) $\geq$ 3. Call $G^r_d$ (X,**) the set of all pairs (L,V) with L$\epsilon$Pic(X), deg(L) = d, V $\subseteq$ H^0$(X,L), dim(V) =r+1 and V spanning L. Assume the existence of integers d, r with 1 $\leq$ r$\leq$ d $\leq$ g-1 such that there exists an irreducible component, , of $G^r_d$(X,**) with dim($\Gamma$) $\geq$ d - 2r and such that the general L$\geq$$\Gamma$ is spanned at every point of Sing(X). Here we prove that dim( ) = d-2r and X is hyperelliptic.

  • Two probiotic strains, Lactobacillus johnsonii x-1d-2 and Lactobacillus mucosae x-4w-1, originally isolated from piglet feces, have been demonstrated to possess antimicrobial activities, antibiotic resistances and interleukin-6 induction ability in RAW 267.4 macrophages in our previous study. These characteristics make L. johnsonii x-1d-2 and L. mucosae x-4w-1 good candidates for application in feed probiotics. In this study, soybeal meal, molasses and sodium acetate were selected to optimize the growth medium for cultivation of L. johnsonii x-1d-2 and L. mucosae x-4w-1. These two strains were then freeze-dried and mixed into the basal diet to feed the weaned piglets. The effects of L. johnsonii x-1d-2 and L. mucosae x-4w-1 on the growth performance and fecal microflora of weaned piglets were investigated. The results showed that the bacterial numbers of L. johnsonii x-1d-2 and L. mucosae x-4w-1 reached a maximum of 8.90 and 9.30 log CFU/mL, respectively, when growing in optimal medium consisting of 5.5% (wt/vol) soybean meal, 1.0% (wt/vol) molasses and 1.0% (wt/vol) sodium acetate. The medium cost was 96% lower than the commercial de Man, Rogosa and Sharpe medium. In a further feeding study, the weaned piglets fed basal diet supplemented with freeze-dried probiotic cultures exhibited higher (p<0.05) body weight gain, feed intake, and gain/feed ratio than weaned piglets fed basal diet. Probiotic feeding also increased the numbers of lactobacilli and decreased the numbers of E. coli in the feces of weaned piglets. This study demonstrates that L. johnsonii x-1d-2 and L. mucosae x-4w-1 have high potential to be used as feed additives in the pig industry.

  • Maynard proved that there exists an effectively computable constant q1 such that if q ≥ q1, then $\frac{{\log}\;q}{\sqrt{q}{\phi}(q)}Li(x){\ll}{\pi}(x;\;q,\;m)<\frac{2}{{\phi}(q)}Li(x)$ for x ≥ q8. In this paper, we will show the following. Let 𝛿1 and 𝛿2 be positive constants with 0 < 𝛿1, 𝛿2 < 1 and 𝛿1 + 𝛿2 > 1. Assume that L ≠ ℚ is a number field. Then there exist effectively computable constants c0 and d1 such that for dL ≥ d1 and x ≥ exp (326n𝛿1L(log dL)1+𝛿2), we have $$\|{\pi}_C(x)-\frac{{\mid}C{\mid}}{{\mid}G{\mid}}Li(x)\|\;{\leq}\;\(1-c_0\frac{1og\;d_L}{d^{7.072}_L}\)\;\frac{{\mid}C{\mid}}{{\mid}G{\mid}}Li(x)$$.

  • Residual pesticides discharged from diffuse sources at agricultural area in association with suspended solid will be settled at downstream, and may degrade surface water quality. This research studied dechlorination kinetic of atrazine, one of triazine-category herbicide, using zero-valent iron (ZVI) in sediment. It can be observed from the experiments that buffer capacity of sediment helped pH maintained beutral, resulted in continuous dechlorination. Sediments were spiked with atrazine at 10, 30, and 50 mg atrazine/L of total sediment for batch experiments. Dechlorination constants were $1.38x10^{-1}/d$ for the initial concentration of 10 mg/L, $1.29x10^{-l}/d$ for 30 mg/L, and $7.43x10^{-2}/d$ for 50 mg/L while dechlorination constants of initial concentration of 50 mg/L without ZVI adding were estimated as $3.05x10^{-2}/d. Half lifes atrazine by ZVI were estimated as 5.03 d fur 10 mg/L, 5.38 d for 30 mg/L, and 9.33 d for 50 mg/L, respectively.

  • It is well known that every $x{\in}(0,1]$ can be expanded to an infinite $L{\ddot{u}}roth$ series with the form of $$x={\frac{1}{d_1(x)}}+{\cdots}+{\frac{1}{d_1(x)(d_1(x)-1){\cdots}d_{n-1}(x)(d_{n-1}(x)-1)d_n(x)}}+{{\cdots}}$$, where $d_n(x){\geq}2$ for all $n{\geq}1$. In this paper, the set of points with some restrictions on the digits in $L{\ddot{u}}roth$ series expansions are considered. Namely, the Hausdorff dimension of following the set $$F_{\phi}=\{x{\in}(0,1]\;:\;d_n(x){\geq}{\phi}(n),\;i.o.n}$$ is determined, where ${\phi}$ is an integer-valued function defined on ${\mathbb{N}}$, and ${\phi}(n){\rightarrow}{\infty}$ as $n{\rightarrow}{\infty}$.

  • In this letter, a parametric analysis of the Fresnel-field antenna measurement method is performed for a square aperture. As a result, the optimum number of Fresnel fields for one far-field point is guided as $M_{opt}=N_{opt}=D^2/{\lambda}R+5$, where D is the antenna diameter, ${\lambda}$ is the wavelength, and R is the distance between the source antenna and the antenna under test. For the aperture size 5 ${\leq}$ $L_x/{\lambda}$ ${\leq}$ 20, the tolerable distances for gain errors of 0.5 dB and 0.2 dB can be guided as $R_{0.5\;dB}$ ${\approx}$ $1.2Lx/{\lambda}$ and $R_{0.2\;dB}$ ${\approx}$ $2.0L_x/{\lambda}$, where $L_x$ is the lateral length of the square aperture. The tolerable distances for 20 ${\leq}$ $L_x/{\lambda}$ ${\leq}$ 200 are also proposed. This measurement guideline can be fully utilized when performing the Fresnel-field antenna measurement method.
