Previous methods to map from a FORTRAN-like specification into a systolic array were difficult to find data dependencies because the specification was expressed and executed sequentially. Data-flow graph(DFG)s show data dependencies explicitly. In this paper we show a mapping tool from a DFG specification into a systolic array. We introduce the concept of a Systolic Pattern Stream(SPS) and use that concept to derive a systolic array.

This study analyzes the practical tasks and required competency for technical designers to provide basic data on the training of domestic technical designers. The survey was applied to 21 technical designers of big vendors as well as investigated tasks, task flow, important tasks, time-consuming tasks, and required competencies. The results of the study are as follows. First, the technical designers were in charge of several brands of buyers and distributors of fashion companies, or several lines of the same brand. The main production items were cut and sewn knits. Second, the flow of task and tasks were in the order of buyer comments analysis, sloper decision to matching style, sewing specification, productive sewing method research, size specification suggestion, pattern correction comments, construction decision to matching style & fabric, sample evaluations, fit approval, business e-mail writing, specification & grading confirmation, and communication with buyer. Third, five tasks (analysis of buyer comments analysis, communication with buyer, pattern correction comments, productive sewing methods research, sample evaluation) were important and time-consuming tasks. Fourth, reeducation was required in order of sewing, pattern, English, fabric, and fitting. Fifth, competencies to be a technical designers were fitting, pattern correction, size specification & grading, construction & sewing specification, sewing terms & techniques, and communication skills. In conclusion, technical designer training should focus on technology-based instruction, such as sample evaluation, fitting, pattern correction, and productive sewing methods research of cut and sewn knits.

Due to increased concern about the distributed web application, the interest in EJB - server-side Java component architecture that enables to make out Business Logic without writing codes related to complicated distributed framework - is also increasing. Despite of these increased interest, However, efforts for reliability of these systems have been insufficient. Thus, in this paper, we propose specification technique for applying DbC approach, which can elevate the reliability of software in the Object-Oriented system development, in writing formal specification of EJB-based application. Through this specification technique, developers can gain reliability in the EJB-based application development.

The cell-fate specification of the anchor cell (AC) and a ventral uterine precursor cell (VU) in Caenorhabditis elegans is initiated by a stochastic interaction between LIN-12/Notch receptor and LAG-2/Delta ligand in two neighboring Z1.ppp and Z4.aaa cells. Both cells express lin-12 and lag-2 before specification, and a small difference in LIN-12 activity leads to the exclusive expressions of lin-12 in VU and lag-2 in the AC, through a feedback mechanism of unknown nature. Here we show that the expression pattern of lag-1/CSL, a transcriptional repressor itself that turns into an activator upon binding of the intracellular domain of Notch, overlaps with that of lin-12. Site-directed mutagenesis of LAG-1 binding sites in lag-1 maintains its expression in the AC, and eliminates it in the VU. Thus, AC/VU cell-fate specification appears to involve direct regulation of lag-1 expression by the LAG-1 protein, activating its transcription in VU cells, but repressing it in the AC.

At present, Kyungbu high-speed railway is operated with 300km/h, Honam high-speed railway is being constructed with 350km/h, and the development for the overhead contact line system is to be conducted for the next-generation high-speed railway with the speed of 400km/h. It is necessary to set up the specification and criteria for the key parts such as dropper, termination clamp and tension insulator for the 400km/h railway line. In this paper, the specification and the criteria for dropper, termination clamp and tension insulator has been reviewed and proposed in order to secure long-term reliability and stability under the maximum speed of 400km/h. Also, the specification, criteria and international standards for 300km/h class and 350km/h class railway line system and the international standards related with the insulators have been reviewed, compared and analysed.

In this paper, we define a Process Algebra ACSMR(Algebra of Communicating Shared Multiple Resources) for system specification and verification using multiple resources. ACSMR extends a concept of multiple resources in ACSR that is a branch of formal methods based on process algebra. We'll show that two specification and verification examples. One is the specification of system behavior in multiprocessor using EDF(Earliest-Deadline-First) which is a scheduling algorithm of a real-time system. The other is the specification of describing timing analysis and resources restriction in a super scalar processor using multiple ports registers.

In this paper, a home network message specification and systems based on the Power Line Communication(PLC) are proposed. As a case study, the home network message specification and systems for the white goods are proposed. It is designed for the various home appliances from the lightning to the white goods using power line communication based on Internet protocol. The proposed home network system is composed of the home network message specification with browsing S/W and embedded H/W design based on the power line communication.

The goal of this paper is improvement of vision inspection accuracy by using histogram specification operation. The histogram is composed of horizontal axis of image intensity value and vertical axis of pixel number in image. In appearance vision inspection, the histogram of reference image and input image are different because of minutely lighting distinction. The minutely lighting distinction is main reason of vision inspection error in many cases. Therefore we made an effort for elevation of vision inspection accuracy by making the identical histogram of reference image and input image. As a result of this area separation histogram specification algorithm, we could increase the exactness of vision inspection and prevent system error from physical and spirit condition of human. Also this system has been developed only using PC, CCD Camera and Visual C++ for universal workplace.

Light rail vehicle is optimized vehicle system for complex urban circumstance. LRT systems have many merits such as improve accuracy, speediness and safety. There are many LRT systems such as monorail, tram, automated guideway transit, linear induction motor propulsion and so on. These systems have operated in Japan and other advanced countries. In Korea, local government has many projects to apply the advanced LRT system. But there are no standardized specification, performance test specification, construction specification for monorail system, linear induction motor propulsion system, tram in Korea up to now. So, we need to establish of standardized to economical construction and safety. The linear induction motor system has been usually applied in Japan subway and ART(Advanced Rapid Transit) of Canada. In Korea, the linear induction motor system has been adopted for Yongin LRT and currently under construction. This paper covers the contents and technical base for main items of rolling stock, performance standard, carbody structure, bogie, electronic unit and brake equipment in order to implement linear induction motor LRT system according to local conditions.

The economic design of specification limits must be determined on an economic basis where we minimize total loss to society, which consists of both the producer and the consumer. Economic specification limits have been developed based on the assumption that the quality characteristic is normally distributed. Unfortunately, the assumption is not to meet some practical cases. In this paper, some non-normal distributions are considered for quality characteristic with geometrical features. An economic model for selecting the optimum specification limits on the basis of minimizing total cost is introduced. A case study is presented to illustrate the application in practice.
