  • A three-dimensional(3D) Monte Carlo simulator for boron ion implantation into <100>single-crystal silicon considering the mask structure has been developed to predict the mask-dependent impurity doping profiles of the implanted boron at low energies into the reduced area according to the trend of a reduction in the size of semiconductor devices. All relevant important parameters during ion implantation have been taken into account in this simulator. These are incident energy, tilt and rotation of wafer, orientation of silicon wafer, presence of native silicon dioxide layer, dose, wafer temperature, ion beam divergence, masking thickness, and size and structure of open window in the mask. The one-dimensional(1D) results obtained by using the 3D simulator have been compared with the SIMS experiments to demonstrate its capabilities and confirem its reliability, and we obtained relatively accurate 1D doping profiles. Through these 3D simulations considering the hole structure and its size, we found the mask effects during boron ion implantation process.

  • Expose equipment system that is used for manufacturing process of Flat Panel Display, is most important equipment in whole process. Expose equipment that is for making pattern of mask on substrate, consists of optical part, stage part and transport part. The stage is an important part that aligns mask and substrate for delivering pattern of mask to substrate exactly. In this paper, control system of expose stage that is able to use mask and substrate of diverse size, with PC controller using GUI interface instead of PLC control system. The existing PLC control system does not have the suitable structure for using mask of diverse size. GUI interface integration control system is based on PC. So it has the advantage of convenient use and active operation. We embodied PLC control system in integration control system based on PC, and verified utility possibility through the standard test course.

  • As workers' health and welfare are becoming increasingly important, there are needs for protecting workers from being exposed to dust particles in workplace. One of the simplest ways to protect workers is to wear a one-time-use mask of the 3M type. Although conventional masks are convenient to use, they provide low filtration efficiency simply because of air leaks through interface between the face and the mask. In this study, a new type of mask is developed and tested. The air which is filtered first using high efficiency particulate air(HEPA) filter is supplied to the nose area of workers' face. The developed mask was tested for filtration efficiency and for workers' acceptance. Very good results were obtained for both accounts.

  • Edges include various important informations of the objects. These edges are being applied in numerous areas and there is a detection method using mask in existing edge detection methods. These existing edge detection methods are simple to realize. However, because the fixed mask is used, edge detection characteristics in complicated noise environments are somewhat unsatisfactory. Therefore, to compensate for the weakness in the existing detection methods, edge detection algorithm which uses the standard deviation of local mask and noise elimination was proposed.

  • Video object segmentation is a significant task in computer vision, but its performance is not very satisfactory. A method of video object segmentation using weakly temporal information is presented in this paper. Motivated by the phenomenon in reality that the motion of the object is a continuous and smooth process and the appearance of the object does not change much between adjacent frames in the video sequences, we use a feed-forward architecture with motion estimation to predict the mask of the current frame. We extend an additional mask channel for the previous frame segmentation result. The mask of the previous frame is treated as the input of the expanded channel after processing, and then we extract the temporal feature of the object and fuse it with other feature maps to generate the final mask. In addition, we introduce multi-mask guidance to improve the stability of the model. Moreover, we enhance segmentation performance by further training with the masks already obtained. Experiments show that our method achieves competitive results on DAVIS-2016 on single object segmentation compared to some state-of-the-art algorithms.

  • Recently, as the demand for masks increases, the use of filter-replaceable cotton masks is increasing. A filter-replaceable cotton mask is one of the ways to solve the environmental problems of a disposable nonwoven mask because only the filter can be replaced after washing. Cotton fiber products are known to be environmentally friendly, but cotton products dyed with general synthetic dyes are not safe for humans. In this study, to prepare of cotton mask applied with natural dyeing, the optimal dyeing conditions are set when dyeing with gallnut extract. A polychromatic natural dye that changes color by mordant, and the functionalities of gallnut dyeing fabrics are evaluated. The experimental method is dyed the gallnut by temperature and time by concentration to set the optimal conditions. The color fastness rating grade of aluminium potassium sulfate dodecahydrate, copper(ll) sulfate pentahydrate, and iron(ll) chloride tetrahydrate were evaluated after the pre/post mordanting.

  • Purpose: This experimental study compared the chest compression quality, muscle activity, and subjective fatigue of paramedic students who did or did not wear a mask. Methods: The subjects of this study were 13 paramedic students at college D located in B city. Frequency percentages, mean standard deviations, and paired sample t-tests were conducted using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Results: This study revealed that chest compression depths (t=-2.151, p=.053) and compression rates (t=-2.714, p=.019) were higher in mask-wearers, while muscle activity and subjective fatigue (t=2.382, p=.035) of the erector spinae (t=7.082, p=.001), rectus abdominis (t=4.776, p=.001), and pectoralis major muscles (t=3.193, p=.008) were lower in mask-wearers. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used as a basis to increase the resuscitation rates of cardiac arrest patients and provision of high-quality chest compressors to rescuers when infectious diseases recur in the future.

  • Usage of a face mask has become mandatory in many countries after the COVID-19. This paper described to develop a IoT based smart mask system for monitoring face mask. The system developed in this paper has two main units, a sensor module, and a smartphone application. The sensor module consists of four components: temperature and humidity sensor, a heart rate sensor, and a BLE chip. This components work as a unit to collect data and stream them through an I2C port over BLE to a connected mobile device. The smartphone application is an Android application developed for smart phones. It enables the Android device to communicate with the sensor to receive sensor data, process, store and display results.

  • Recently, the amount of data is increasing with the development of industries and technologies. Research on the processing and transmission of large amounts of data is attracting attention. Therefore, in this paper, compressed sensing was used to reduce the amount of data and its effect on Mask R-CNN algorithm was analyzed. We confirmed that as the compressed sensing rate increases, the amount of data in the image and the resolution decreases. However, it was confirmed that there was no significant degradation in the performance of object detection.

  • Highly ordered gold nanodot arrays have been successfully obtained by vacuum evaporation using an anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) as a shadow mask. An AAO mask with the thickness of 300 um was prepared through an anodization process. The structure of the nanodot arrays was studied by a field- emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) equipped with an energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS). A tapping mode atomic force microscope (AFM) was employed for studies of height and phase feature. The nanodot arrays were precisely reproduced corresponding to the hexagonal structure of the AAO mask in a large area. In the gold nanodot arrays, the average diameter of dots is approximately the same as the AAO pore size in the range from 70 um to 80 nm and 100 nm center-to-center spacing. EDS analysis indicated that the gold dots were almost entirely consisted of gold, a highly demanded material.
