  • This paper tries to suggest the Model of Fisheries Information Systems(FIS) with information technology. The paper shows the analysis and design of FIS. FIS consists of three inportant parts. They are database system, modelbase system and networking. Database systems report to infer the statistic, institute, maket of fisheries. Modelbase systems are used to forecast and plan the automation of fisheries. Networking is needed to develop the Value-Added Networking(VAN). FIS will be highly possible to develop the biggest VAN in Korea.

군산주변해역에 있어서 자원조성용 방류어종의 선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Select of Releasing Fishes for the Nourishment of Fisheries Resources around the Gunsan Coastal Seas)

  • The aim of this study is to indicate that how to select the releasing fishes for the nourishment of fisheries resources in small ranching area around the Gunsan coastal seas. The collected data were analysed, and revealed that the proper fisheries for releasing around the seas are Limanda Yokohame, sebastes schlegeli, paralichthys olibaceus, black porgy and little clam.

Negative Correlation between the Prevalence of Norovirus and High Bacterial Loads of Escherichia coli in Oysters Crassostrea gigas

  • Seasonal variation in the prevalence of norovirus in oysters Crassostrea gigas was investigated and compared to levels of Escherichia coli, a fecal indicator in oysters. Oysters were collected from Iwon-myeon, Taean-gun, Korea, a primary production area for European Union export of oysters between 2013 and 2014. We observed seasonality in the prevalence of norovirus in oysters, with a higher prevalence and viral load detected during winter months. Oysters taken from production areas that complied with the European Union standard for raw consumption (< 230 MPN/100 g of E. coli) had 22.1% of the samples test positive for norovirus (15/68 samples). However, norovirus was not detected in any of the samples (0%, 0/4 samples) that were collected from production sites that exceeded the standard fecal contamination level for raw consumption (> 230 MPN/100 g of E. coli). These results indicated that there is a negative correlation between the prevalence of norovirus and high levels of E. coli in oysters. Therefore, our results suggest that current food safety guidelines using only a bacterial fecal contamination indicator, E. coli, may not adequately assess shellfish production areas for viral and bacterial contamination.

수산·해운계 고등학교 직업기초능력 척도의 타당화 (The Validation of Occupational Basic Competencies of Fisheries and Maritime High School)

  • The aims of this study were to validate the Occupational Basic Competencies of Fisheries and Maritime High school. Fisheries & Maritime key competencies were defined as the abilities that include the essential knowledge, skills, attitude, and experiences required for the workforce on the fisheries and maritime job condition. This research collected preliminary data from 1,113 fisheries & maritime high school students. Data were analyzed to obtain reliability and validity analysis. The results of the study were as follows; First, fisheries & maritime key competencies were divided into 6 elements. Second, fisheries & maritime key competencies were consisted of marine vocational ethics, marine information capacity, marine elementary knowlegde, marine safety management skill, management & utilization of marine life and marine consciousness. Third, Cronbach-${\alpha}$ proves that the scale developed in the study is reliable. In consequence, the results of this study help to reconceptualize fisheries & maritime and apply the scale to measure students in high school settings.

활어 수입의 현단계적 성격에 관한 고찰;-활어 수입을 둘러싼 규정요인과 동향을 중심으로- (A Study on Characteristics of Present Import for Live Fish)

  • This study analyzed the structure of imported fisheries, focusing especially on the following factors of live fisheries import : First of all, it is confirmed that the import of live fisheries expands when domestic production decreases. To put it concretely, the structure of domestic live fish supply is based upon the production of aquaculture, the shift from export to domestic use, and imported live fisheries. These all coexist, expand, and grow together. Secondly, the structure of the consumer's market - the background of expanding and growing live fisheries-is currently diversifying with quality and quantity from a local area consumer system based upon regional markets, to a wider ranged system based upon the food industry and retailing market. The existence of the consumer markets is premised upon a stable supply structure, in terms of material and price. Thirdly, in terms of trade policy, control of imports instantly reduces import goods. But it is reasonable to say that there is not any logical effectiveness of denying the stable growth of low market capital under the background of strong consummer expansion. Fourthly, the attitude of the import related managener organization is directly related to the degree to which it is connected to live fish import. It is demanded that such a managing organization possess suitable facilities, specializaed knowledge, and management skill of live fisheries. So it is predicted that newly introducing the importing of live fisheries is not simple. It indirectly shows that the capital which relates to live fisheries are connected with the importing og live fish fisheries.

수산고등학교(水産高等學校) 교육(敎育)의 활성화(活性化) 방안(方案) 모색(摸索)을 위한 조사연구(調査硏究) (A Research For Groping of Activating Education in Fisheries High Schools)

  • This study is to observe and activate a groping of education based on the perceptual responses from the teachers and the students in fisheries schools. The conclusions of this study are as follows : First, lower level of the perceptual response was estimated in the curriculum and experimental courses, the financial and administrative supports from the Government, the contribution of a fisheries high school to the local society the wages of seamen and the co-works between the industries and the academies. Second, a careful consideration is needed for the fisheries school to have a different shape. As one way for co-works of the industries and the academies, two year program in school and one year internship in a related company should be formed for the curriculum in a fisheries high school. A localized support for sea area, a fisheries high school's role as a re-eaducation for the seamaen and opening a educational graduate school for teachers in the fisheries university are pursued. Third, the perceptual response from the teachers and the students are globally weighted in the acquisition of the license with a graduation of the school and then the credit for the military services, the entering into the same area of the higher education, the expansion of the experimental materials in the courses, developing the curriculum, the Governmental supports and the awareness for the local society, in order. The issues indicated here should be researched continuously for activating the education in the fisheries high schools.

황해(黃海)·동중국해(東中國海)에서의 한(韓)·중(中)·일간(日間) 국제어업협력(國際漁業協力)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the International Fisheries Cooperation among Korea, China and Japan in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea)

  • This thesis is concerned with international fisheries cooperation among Korea, China and Japan in the Yellow sea and the East China sea. For this purpose, considerated international fisheries problems relation with these countries refer to literature. Specially adjusted the focus founding of necessity and methods about international fisheries cooperation among these countries. The conclusion is as followed; At first, these countries necessity required international fisheries cooperation because of following reasons. 1. These countries have legal duties for conservation and utilization of marine living resources according to united nations convention law of the sea. 2. These countries that jointly owned semi-closed sea have legal duties for cooperation in respect of fisheries and environment problems. 3. These countries belongs to a same ecosystem and shared with staddling stocks in the Yellow sea and the East china sea. The Second, these countries certainly required international fisheries cooperation following methods. 1. These countries must establish marine area for joint control of marine living resources. 2. These countries must establish tentatively named "International fisheries cooperation body" for deal with comprehensive problems about fisheries.

패널자료를 이용한 지구별·업종별 수산업협동조합의 수익에 영향을 미치는 요인 분석 (Empirical Analysis on the Factors Affecting the Net Income of Regional and Industrial Fisheries Cooperatives Using Panel Data)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze factors affecting the net income of regional and industrial fisheries cooperatives in South Korea using panel data. This paper utilizes linear or GLS regression models such as pooled OLS model, fixed effects model, and random effects model to estimate affecting factors of the net income of regional and industrial fisheries cooperatives. After reviewing various tests, we eventually select random effects model. The results, based on panel data between 2013 and 2018 year and 64 fisheries cooperatives, indicate that capital and area dummy variables have positive effects and employment has negative effect on the net income of regional and industrial fisheries cooperatives as predicted. However, debt are opposite with our predictions. Specifically, it turns out that debt has positive effect on the net income of regional and industrial fisheries cooperatives although it has been increased. Additionally, this paper shows that the member of confreres does not show any significant effect on the net income of regional and industrial fisheries cooperatives in South Korea. This study is significant in that it analyzes the major factors influencing changes in the net income that have not been conducted recently for the fisheries cooperatives by region and industry.
