Objectives : Therapeutic effect of Balance Appliance of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) for meridian and neurologic yinyang balance was observed in a refractory torticollis case. Methods : A post-traumatic severe torticollis case with 18 years of duration was managed by the Balance Appliance on temporomandibular joint (TMJ), combined with acupuncture and manual medicine. Results : Assessment was made by self assessment of subjective symptoms and clinical observacon. The patient reported over-90% remission and returned to ordinary daily life after 20months of therapy, which effect was reported to maintain for 9 months. Conclusions : An impressive effect was observed and further clinical and biological research on FCST is expected.

The purpose of this study was to review the results of the neurolytic trigeminal nerve block in 41 patients from April 1992 to March 1994. Most common site of trigeminal neuralgia was the second division(27 patients, 68.3%). Nineteen patients of these were treated with infraorbital nerve block. Another 4 patients had cerebello-pontine angle tumor close to TREZ in MRI findings therefore they were excluded from this study. Thirty nine patients (95.1%) remained free of pain. Only 2 patients treated with infraorbital nerve block experienced recurring pain. Although the follow-up period was short, alcohol blocks proved effective and safe for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to know the efficacy of Korean medical treatment for recalcitrant hand and foot warts with an experience of cryotherapy. Methods : Twenty-two patients(male 12, female 10) with recalcitrant warts visited Amar Korean Medicine Clinic and were treated with herbal medicine, herbal acupuncture, acupuncture, moxibustion and bloodletting for at least 3 months. After treatment, a clearance rate was divided into 4 scales such as; complete clearance / partial clearance-good / partial clearance-poor / no change. Results : Mean age of patients was 23.4 years and mean period of disease was 43.6 months. Mean duration of treatment was 3.0 months and mean dosage(貼) of herbal medicine was 89.1. Nineteen patients(86.4%) showed complete clearance, one(4.5%) partial clearance-good, and two(9.1%) partial clearance-poor. Conclusion : This data demonstrates that Korean medical treatment could be an effective treatment for recalcitrant warts.

Purpose : To observe effects of Korean Medicine treatment for genital warts.Methods : In a single private clinic from February 2014 to February 2015, we did retrospective chart review for 326 patients with genital warts who had been treated by Korean Medicine. Korean Medicine treatment included herbal treatment and herbal ointment.Results : A total of 326 patients were enrolled in this study: 62.7%(n=219) male, 32.8%(n=107) female. In the type of diagnosis, new diagnosis was 45.4%(n=148) and recurrent disease was 54.6%(n=178). Complete clearance was achieved 63.2%(n=206) and treatment period was 3.5 months(range:1-9). Partial clearance-good was 15%(n=49), partial clearance-poor was 4.9%(n=16), non response was 16.9%(n=55) and the average treatment period was 4.3 months(range:1-14). In complete clearance group, female and the prevalence of less than 1 year were statistically significant(p<0.05). There was no recurrence of genital warts after TKM treatment during follow-up period(4-13months).Conclusion : This study suggest that Korean Medicine may be an effective treatment for genital warts.
