  • We report three new records Korean marine gastropods. The new record species are Hipponix acuta, Lyncina (Ponda) carneola, and Velutina (Velutella) plicatilis cryptospira. As a result, the family Hipponicidae in Korea turned out to be 5 species of 4 genera, Cypraeidae are 14 species of 8 genera, and Velutinidae are 7 species of 3 genera, respectively.

  • Microturbellarians, small free-living Platyhelminthes are rich in freshwater environments. They are useful as indicator of water quality. There has never been a record of microturbellarians in Korea. Here I report a microturbellarian species, Catenula confusa Nuttycombe, 1956. Although specimens in this study show some differences with those of the original description of C. confusa in length and width of zooid, they conform to the specific diagnosis of this species.

  • Gynodiastylis platycarpus Gam$\^{o}$ is redescribed as a new record of Korean fauna and a key to the Korean species of the genus is provided. This species is characterized by a slender body, a small telson, and a 3-articulated uropodal endopod.

  • One specimen of Epinephelus areolatus, belonging to the subfamily Epinephelinae of the family Serranidae, was collected by a hook from commercial longline fisheries in the coastal waters of Jeju Island, Korea. This species is mostly similar to E. chlorostigma, but the former is distinguished from the latter by having larger brown spots and a white posterior margin on the caudal fin. We propose a new Korean name "Dae-moon-ba-ri" for E. areolatus.

  • A female crab of Xenocarcinus conicus (A. Milne Edwards, 1865) was collected from Munseum, Jejudo Island. The genus Xenocarcinus is recorded newly in Korean brachyuran fauna. The present specimen has broader and shorter rostrum and eleven sharp teeth on the inner border of dactylus of the first ambulatory leg. Korean epialtid fauna now consists of eight species of four genera.

  • Three Ovulid species collected from Jeju Island were identified as Habuprionovolva aenigma (Azuma & Cate, 1971), Habuprionovolva basilia (Cate, 1978) and Diminovula kosugei (Cate, 1973). This is the first record from the Korean waters, providing a description of the species with illustration for the shell morphology.

  • Camarops ustulinoides (Henn.) Nannf., belonging to the family Boliniaceae (Order Boliniales), is reported as new to Korea. The morphological characteristics and molecular phylogenetic analysis based on the nucLSU region sequence confirm the recognition of this taxon. Illustrated descriptions of C. ustulinoides are provided.
