천연 Zeollte로부터 열수합성에 의한 주상 Na-P Zeolite합성 (Synthesis of Columnar Na-P Zeolite by Hydrothermal Process from Natural Zeolite of Korea)

  • 본 연구는 천연 zeolite를 파쇄하여 일정크기의 입제를 생산하는 과정에서 부산물로 생산되는 다량의 미분을 이용하여 양이온치환용량이 높은 입상의 흡착제를 개발할 목적으로 수행하였다. 천연 zeolite를 알카리 용액의 열수합성법을 활용하여 Na-P zeolite로 전환시켰다. 반응시간별 합성과정 중 광물학적 특성 변화를 X-선회절, 주사전자현미경, 화학조성 및 CEC의 변화를 통하여 구명하였다. 주상 Na-P zeolite의 입단은 천연 zeolite-숯혼합물을 약 3 mm 두께로 압축성형한 후 열처리하였으며, 연속적인 3 M NaOH 처리로 천연 zeolite의 주요구성광물인 climoptile, moderite, 장석 등의 광물이 파괴되고 새로이 구형의 Na-P zeolite가 24시간 처리에서 관찰되었다. 반응시간이 증가함에 따라 잔류용액 중 Si/AI비는 감소하였으며, 입단 크기의 증가에도 불구하고 Na-P zeolite의 CEC는 출발물질로 사용된 미분의 천연 zeolite에 비하여 2배 이상 증가하였다.

Preparation of Zeolite-Filled PDMS Membranes and Its Properties for Organic Vapor Separation

  • In order to improve organic vapor separation efficiency of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) membrane, various zeolites (zeolite 4A, zeolite 13X and natural zeolite) were introduced into a thin PDMS film. The measurements of permeability and selectivity of zeolite-filled PDMS membranes were carried out with a CO$_2$gas and a CO$_2$gas/acetic acid vapor mixture, respectively. The CO$_2$permeability of zeolite-filled membranes decreased with increasing zeolite content and then recovered up to 30 wt% content. The effect of zeolite type on the improvement of CO$_2$permeability was found to be in the order of zeolite 13X > natural zeolite > 4A. The CO$_2$selectivity of zeolite-filled membranes was enhanced up to 9 times compared with the selectivity of a pure (unfilled) PDMS membrane. The effect of zeolite type on the improvement of CO$_2$selectivity was found to be in the order of natural zeolite > zeolite 13X > zeolite 4A.

TMA-Zeolite Comphx 에 의한 수용액(水溶液)중 Benzene 제거(除去) (Removal of benzene from aqueous solution by TMA-Zeolite complex)

  • 한국산(韓國産) 천연(天然) zeolite에 양이온 계면활성제(界面活性劑)인 TMA(Tetrametyl ammonium)를 흡착시킨 TMA-zeolite complex로 수용액 중의 휘발성 유기화합물인 benzene을 흡착시켜 제거하는 실험을 행하였다. 천연 zeolite의 CEC는 95.9 cmol/kg이었고, X-선 회절분석과 IR분석 결과 clinoptilolite와 mordenite가 주성분이었다. TMA는 zeolite표면에 CEC의 약 8% 정도가 신속히 흡착되었으며 이와 같이 TMA를 흡착한 TMA-zeolite complex에 의하여 수용액중의 benzene이 효과적으로 제거(除去)되었다.

  • This study was conducted to examine the adsorption capacity of $NH_{3}-N$ by natural zeolite for the purpose of investigating the possibility for $NH_{3}-N$ eliminator of korea natural zeolite. The dominant clay minerals of zeolite was clinoptiloite. The amount of $NH_{3}-N$ adsorption by zeplite was not significantly affected by the particle size of zeolite and increased with increasing the ratio of zeolite to the volume of solution. Removal ratio of 100% of NH$_{3}$-N by non, 1st, 2nd regenerated cloumn was continued separately during 4.5, 18, 30hr and this amount was each 0.081, 0.324, 0.540g $NH_{3}-N/zero$.100g. The eluenting amount of K, Ca, Mg was increased on the zeolite cloumn according to that of Na decreased. The amount of 74% of $NH_{3}-N$ was desorved on the zeolite cloumn for regenerating treatment during 8hr. The perfect removal amount was $0.216gNH_{3}-N/zero$.100g on the zeolite cloumn with field sample.

  • In domestic, there are not adequate admixtures for concrete now, so the study on that is required deeply, Accordingly the purpose of this study is to analyze the application possibilities of Natural Zeolite and Mud Stone as admixtures for concrete through comparing the compressive strength prorerties of mortar mixed with imported Silica Fume those mixed with domestic Zeolite and Mud Stone. As the results from this study, the optimum displacement rate of Silica Fume, Zeolite and Mud Stone is 15%, 5~10%, 15% respectively. In Zeolite and Mud Stone, the compressive strength is higher in proportion as the powder is fine. Consequentely, the application possibility the application possibility of Zeolite and Mud Stone is very sufficient as admixtures for concrete.

공기 분급한 국내 천연 제올라이트의 수열처리에 관한 연구 (Hydrothermal Modifications of Korean Natural Zeolite by Air Classification)

  • 국내 천연 제올라이트에 포함된 feldspar와 illite의 불순광물을 공기 분급 조작 의하여 정제하였다. 공기 분급된 제올라이트를 XRD로 분석한 결과 공기분급에 의하여 제올라이트와 불순광물을 분리할 수 있었고, 공기 분급을 함으로서 불순광물이 감소된 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 공기 분급된 천연 제올라이트를 1N NaOH용액으로 100, 150, $200^{\circ}C$에서 17시간동안 수열처리한 결과 mordenite와 clinoptiolite에서 phillilsite와 analcime의 상변화를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 천연(天然) zeolite를 이용한 완효성(緩效性) K비료(肥料)를 개발(開發)하기 위하여 K포화용액(飽和溶液)에 zeolite를 첨가(添加)하여 흡착반응(吸着反應)을 유도(誘導)하였다. 표면(表面)에 K가 포화(飽和)된 zeolite(K-Zeolite)와 과잉염(過剩鹽)이 남아있는 zeolite(NW. K-Zeolite)를 조제(調製)하였다. 흡착(吸着)된 K는 쉽게 용출(溶出)되지 않았으며 서서히 지속적(持續的)으로 용출(溶出)되었다. 또 이들 K-Zeolite와 NW. K-Zeolite를 연초재배(煙草栽培)에 시용(施用)한 결과(結果) 생육초기(生育初期)에는 KCl 처리(處理)에 비해 토양중(土壤中) K함량(含量)이 적었으나 생육후기(生育後期)에는 K함량(含量)이 오히려 높았다. 따라서 K-Zeolite는 완효성(緩效性) 가리비료(加里肥料)로 이용(利用)할 수 있음이 인정(認定)되었다.

  • The mineralogical properties of natural zeolite comixed with montmorillonite were investigated by the chemical composition analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry. The experimental results on the removal of heavy metal ions by using the natural sample are summerized as follows. The removal of the heavy metal in solution is greatly influenced by the pH. Also, the removal capacity of heavy metal ions by zeolite and montmorillonite have increased in order of $Cu^{2+}>Cd^{2+}>Ni^{2+}$.

  • The purpose of this study is to raise the strength of concrete with admixture. The natural zeolites and mud stone, abundant in this country, were used as admixture for high-strengthening of concrete. Proper workability was gained by using the superplasticizer. The optimum replacement ratio of zeolite mud stone was 10% on unit -cement amount. At these optimum replacement ratio, the strength development over the plain concrete was 34% for zeolite and 16% for mud stone. Through this study, we concluded the natural zeolite and mud stone were adequate admixture for the high-strengthening of concrete.

실란 결합제 처리된 에폭시 수지 복합재료의 계면 특성 (Interface Characteristics of Epoxy Composite Treated with Silane Coupling Agent)

  • The effects of coupling agent on the interface characteristics between epoxy resin and natural zeolite were studied by SEM, optical microscope and universal testing machine (UTM). Epoxy resin as a matrix was diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA)/4,4'-methylene dianiline (MDA)/malononitrile (MN) system and natural zeolite as an inorganic fillet was produced in Korea. With the increment of zeolite content, tensile strength decreased and it was due to the different elastic moduli of two materials. When external stress was loaded on the composites, the stress concentrated on the weakly bonded interface and crack grew easily. To improve the interface characteristics, the surface of the natural zeolite was treated with the silane coupling agent and it was found that the tensile strength was increased. The morphology of the interface showed that the bonding characteristics were modified by coupling agent.
