지식경영에 관한 연구 (A Study on Knowledge Management)

  • 본 논문은 지식경영이라는 새로운 패러다임의 소개와 이를 채택하는 기업의 조직을 총체적으로 지원하는 지식관리시스템의 이해를 주목적으로 하고 있다. 따라서 지식경영에 관련된 연구들을 분석함으로서 지식경영의 기초 개념을 파악하고 지식경영의 핵심인 지식관리시스템구축에서 요구되는 구축단계, 구축방법, 포함되어야 할 정보원과 서비스에 대한 기초 요소들을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구는 지식관리 프로그램을 설계하고자 할 때 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • The purpose of this study is to discuss ′records′ as core resources for knowledge management and to suggests the directions for developing integrated knowledge management systems based records management. This present paper begins with analyzing concept and structure of records in light of knowledge management, and identify the importance of records management in developing knowledge management systems by substituting evidence axis in Upward′s "Records Continuum Model" for knowledge management. And this study tries to identify critical aspects regarding transfer of records to knowledge system by analyzing the level of records. Based on these analyses, it suggests a directions for developing records based-knowledge management systems.

The Structure Model of Service Performance Influence in Knowledge Based Service Business

  • This study is attempted to demonstrate the structure of the influencing factors on the performance of services of knowledge based service firms. In the model presented, the structure is that service performance in knowledge-based services are affected by the strategic utilization of knowledge resources and service orientation factors of the service organization. And the service performance are also affected in which the systemization of service processes and customer satisfaction play a mediating role. As an analysis result of examining 148 practitioners engaged in the knowledge service industry, it is necessary to increase the satisfaction of external customers in order to improve service performance in a knowledge-based service organizations. This can be achieved by increasing the satisfaction of internal customers. In addition, for this structure to be successful, the service production process to be provided to the customer must be enhanced. The service production process has been found to be an important factor influencing the internal customer satisfaction and service delivery process, especially in the use of knowledge resource, and customer oriented service among service orientation factors.

전자도서관의 정보원에 관한 연구 (A study on the information resources of the digital library)

  • This paper intends to describe the concepts and historical development of information resources in the digital library, to analyze the different types and characteristics of electronic information resources, and to comment the cases of electronic information resources-especially electronic books, electronic journals, and electronic newspapers. Over the centuries, since the introduction of the printing press, conventional books have played a fundamental role in a wide range of information dissemination and knowledge transfer activities. But, I have mentioned some of limitations of conventional books and electronic information resources in this article. In order to overcome some of them, I think that we should introduce the idea of electronic information resources as a means of storing, sharing and communicating large volumes of dynamic multimedia information.

온톨로지 및 사례기반추론을 이용한 맞춤형 통합 정보 생성 프레임워크의 제안 (Framework for Information Integration and Customization Using Ontology and Case-based Reasoning)

  • 다양한 정보자원들로부터 사용자가 요구하는 맞춤화된 정보를 추출해 내는 것은 더욱 어려워지고 있다. RSS를 비롯하여 개선된 다양한 정보 수집 방법들이 개발되었지만, 여전히 정보가공자인 사람의 도움 없이 필요한 정보들을 수집하여 정리 및 가공하는 작업이 쉽지는 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 정보사용자들이 사용 목적에 맞게 정보를 가공하는 부담을 줄여주기 위해 사례기반추론과 온톨로지에 기반한 맞춤형 통합정보생성 프레임워크를 제안한다. 본 프레임워크는 세 단계로 구성된다. 첫째, 수집된 웹 정보를 정보가공의 용이성을 위해 사례로 변환한다. 둘째, 동적 유사도 검색을 통해 수집된 사례들로부터 정보 사용자의 동적 요구사항에 적합한 사례를 검색한다. 셋째, 전 단계에서 추출된 사례를 정보사용자의 요구사항에 보다 적합한 지식으로 가공하기 위해 집중 유사도를 적용한다. 본 프레임워크는 여행자들의 정보수집을 위한 여행정보시스템에 적용되어 그 효과를 입증하였다.

  • Infobutton is an important concept from long time in use and much has been done with respect to its standardization and context supplementation. The concept is to create contextual links to information resources from within the information systems usually health information systems. The need which has been realized by the authors of this paper is the augmentation of Infobuttons from the level of only information links to the level of knowledge links. The authors proposed the concept of knowledge links named as "Knowledgebuttons" which complements the concept Infobuttons. It adds further capabilities of getting knowledge to the users instead of just connectivity to information resources. The better representation of the information retrieved with Infobuttons is the first and foundation step to achieve the goal of getting knowledge. This paper discusses about the concept and applicability of Knowledgebuttons in health information systems. It is envisioned that this concept will add to the overall quality of patient care. Both physicians and patients can benefit from this technique as per their needs. Physicians can help in patient diagnosis and treatment critical decisions while patients can educate them to know more about their health conditions by studying the right knowledge at right time. Knowledgebuttons are able to create a true learning environment for the users while using health information systems.

지식공유기법을 활용한 학급 홈페이지의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Classroom Homepage Using Wiki)

  • 학생들은 인터넷을 이용하여 정보와 자원을 찾을 수 있어야 한다. 또한 정보를 선별하고, 지식으로 변환하고, 이를 다시 남에게 전달하는 등 복합적인 지적능력이 필요하다. 그러나 학생들이 접하는 대부분의 학교, 학급 홈페이지는 정보만을 제공할 뿐, 학생들이 정보를 지식으로 만들 수 있도록 도와주는 기능이 미흡하다. 이는 학습자들이 홈페이지에 접속하는 비율을 낮추는 원인이 되기도 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 학생들이 정보를 이해하고 해석하여 지식으로 변환할 수 있는 능력을 키울 수 있도록 지식공유기법을 활용한 학급 홈페이지를 개발하였다. 이 홈페이지는 학생들이 지식공유를 할 수 있도록 위키식 지식공유기법과 질문답변식 지식공유기법을 사용하였다. 실험 적용 결과, 학생들이 습득한 정보를 이해하고 해석하는 능력이 높아졌으며, 암묵지를 형식지로 바꾸는 능력도 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지식을 공유 하면서 새로운 지식을 창조하였으며, 자연스럽게 홈페이지 접속율도 높아졌다.

From Information to Knowledge: The Information Literacy Conundrum

  • The fusion of learning, information, and technology presents dynamic challenges for all librarians, educators and students in 21st century libraries and schools. At the heart of this fusion is the growth of a pervasive, integrated information environment characterized by vast quantities of digital content, open choice, collaborative and participatory digital spaces, and the transition of the web environments from consumption of information to creation of information. This environment heralds important opportunities for librarians and teachers to rethink, re-imagine and recreate a dynamic approaches to information literacy instruction. Drawing on an extensive body of research undertaken through the Center for International Scholarship in School Libraries (CISSL), and published research on both information literacy and constructivist learning, this paper provides a critical examination of the current status of information literacy: its multiple conceptualizations, competing models, viewpoints, and its operationalizations in educational and library environments. The paper will challenge information literacy practices which center on simplistic, reductionist approaches to information literacy development, and the separation of information process and knowledge content. In particular it will address apparent contradictions in espoused conceptions of information literacy which revolve around "knowledge": knowledge construction, critical thinking, problem solving and the development of knowledgeable people; and information literacy practices which revolve around "information": a predominant focus on skills of access and evaluation of resources and with less attention given to engaging with found information to develop deep knowledge and understanding. The paper will present a series of challenges for moving forward with information literacy agendas in libraries and schools.

The Utilisation of ICTs For Knowledge Management In A Zimbabwean Urban District Council

  • Purpose: This study established the state of the utilisation of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in Zimbabwean urban district councils to manage municipal knowledge. The way municipal knowledge and service delivery information are managed influences the usefulness and accessibility of the information to the various stakeholders. The effective management of this information thus determines the quality of decisions made by Zimbabwean urban councils. Research design, data and methodology: The study adopted a single case study design, employing a purely qualitative research approach. The purposive sampling technique was used to select key informants who participated in the study. Collected data were analysed using thematic content analysis. Results: The findings revealed that the Masvingo City Council was not fully utilising ICTs to manage service delivery knowledge. It has been at a minimum level in cases where they have been used. Conclusions: This research contributes to the Zimbabwean local government body of knowledge, providing the evidence needed to form a basis for future research, focusing on knowledge management and information technology utilisation in municipal organisations. The researchers recommended that Masvingo City Council direct more resources towards improving the existing ICT infrastructure and employee training programmes to improve the management of the organisation's knowledge.

Dynamic knowledge mapping guided by data mining: Application on Healthcare

  • The capitalization of know-how, knowledge management, and the control of the constantly growing information mass has become the new strategic challenge for organizations that aim to capture the entire wealth of knowledge (tacit and explicit). Thus, knowledge mapping is a means of (cognitive) navigation to access the resources of the strategic heritage knowledge of an organization. In this paper, we present a new mapping approach based on the Boolean modeling of critical domain knowledge and on the use of different data sources via the data mining technique in order to improve the process of acquiring knowledge explicitly. To evaluate our approach, we have initiated a process of mapping that is guided by machine learning that is artificially operated in the following two stages: data mining and automatic mapping. Data mining is be initially run from an induction of Boolean case studies (explicit). The mapping rules are then used to automatically improve the Boolean model of the mapping of critical knowledge.
