In managing organizational tacit knowledge, recent researches have shown that it is more applicable in many ways to provide expert search mechanisms in KMS to pinpoint experts in the organizations with searched expertise. In this paper, we propose an intelligent expert search framework to provide search capabilities for experts in similar or related fields according to the user′s information needs. In enabling intelligent expert searches, Fuzzy Abstraction Hierarchy (FAH) framework has been adopted, through which finding experts with similar or related expertise is possible according to the subject field hierarchy defined in the system. To improve FAH, a text categorization approach called Vector Space Model is utilized. To test applicability and practicality of the proposed framework, the prototype system, "Knowledge Portal for Researchers in Science and Technology" sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Korea, was developed.

Coordination has been identified as a concern in the cross-cutting issues of food security and nutrition (FSN) in Cambodia. Food Security and Nutrition Information System (FSNIS) in Cambodia is the only "entry portal" to support policy formulation and decision-making with regard to FSN. While this knowledge and information management system has earned a respectful reputation, Council for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) faces many challenges in the implementation of the system. This paper will present how FSNIS has been developed and impacts on policy or strategy related to FSN. In addition, sustainability of the system is a key challenge for FSNIS; yet it is interesting to see how it works. Along with a success story, FSNIS is recognized by its stakeholders as the most successful knowledge and information management system in the field of FSN in Cambodia.

By its nature, software part of the construction industry such as engineering and so forth has been kept secret to outside, as it determines a company$^{\circ}{\phi}s$ competitiveness. As a result, construction field knowledge usually disappears with the end of a project. The objective of this study is to develop the knowledge management (BM) learning model tuned in to construction area in order to manage project-related knowledge and promote the knowledge management. This study presented a learning model for knowledge management in the construction field, with the aim to integrate a series of processes. The model is composed of EIP, EDMS, knowledge and failure cases management, CoP and e-Learning.

This research is speak that is tendencious in comprehension of external consumer information search behavior using on-line external information source to consumers who use on-line that is used as corporations' main strategic means. That is, classify consumer groups which was atomized according to type inflict consumer's information search knowledge level and shopping value study which use on-line, and decision factors of information search that these groups can influence a difference or each group which use information sources grasped what it is. Result that investigate information search knowledge level difference about study finding on-line information source utilization used mainly portal site, comparison site, auction site. And, utilization shopping pursuit value group used information source by portal site, auction site, niche shopping mall site and hedonic shopping pursuit value group used information source by portal site, auction site, shopping mall site. It confirmed that all variables(i.e. consumer-based variable and web site-based variable) are influencing variously in on-line external information search types. Finally, we proposed different way to erect strategic model about consumers that use on-line with study finding that see.

오늘날 에너지를 확보와 관련하여 많은 세계 각국 및 기업에서 다양한 사업과 다양한 실험이 이루어지고 있다. 최근 이와 관련하여 미래의 청정 에너지로 부각되고 있는 핵융합에너지가 관심을 받고 있으며, 국내에서도 많은 연구와 성과가 나타나고 있다. 하지만, 이들 연구성과들을 제대로 관리하여 다른 연구에 재투자할 수 있는 지식관리가 부족한 형편이다. 단순한 지식관리보다는 조직의 비즈니스, 정보, 응용 시스템 및 기반구조에 맞도록 적용하여 적시적소에 이용 가능한 시스템을 구성할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 핵융합에너지 관련 지식 데이터를 적절하게 관리할 수 있는 개념수준의 포털기반 핵융합 에너지 지식관리시스템의 설계를 제안한다.

A making appropriate portals is most important start in the arthroscopic surgery, and a step which determines the easiness of the operation procedures. It affects the precision of the examination of the target joints, making the next portals, and handling the instrument in the joint space. The knowledge about the normal and pathologic structures and understanding the portals should be needed to make an arthroscopic surgery ease.

With the developments in the areas of IT and internet, the portal sites have provided a variety of services. The explosive growth of portal sites based on IR services has a great influence on information services and types of information provided typically by libraries. Because of various and useful information services, information users consider portal sites as a more useful information resource. With the user's changes in information resource the portal sites can be a threatening competitor to libraries as a information resource. To deal successfully environmental changes around libraries. IR agency service can be best solution. IR agency service is a sort of more advanced and expanded information services for information users who can not connect to internet or has no skill on IT area. In this paper, information users' opinion on their internet using behavior and IR agency service was collected and analyzed. Based on the result of survey. this paper proposes how to provide IR agency service and its expecting effect for libraries, especially public libraries.

Ecological and ecosystem database is becoming very necessary to understand origins and relationship between human and nature and also to minimize disturbance caused by human activities. An ecological information portal can play important roles as a computing system to collect knowledge, distributed research findings and separated data from researchers. In this study, we designed and developed ecological information portal service (EcoBank 1.0) for collecting and providing ecological information for diverse classes of stakeholders. To reach the goal, we had reviewed related and comparable ecological database portals to design conceptual structure of EcoBank system including database management framework. Then, we developed some functions of ecosystem analysis for each stake-holders (researchers, general public and policy makers). As a result of this study, we successfully designed of EcoBank system covering the functions of Digital Object Identifier(DOI) publishing and data quality management process. Also, we (1) applied ecological indices for calculating biodiversity by administrative boundary for policy makers, (2) provided statistical information of econature map for general public and distribution characteristics of species for researchers. To make a successful establishment of EcoBank, we have to collect and build up related database and offer various and reliable ecological data consistently. We expect that the successful construction of EcoBank will help not only to accomplish sustainable development goals but also to raise the welfare of ecosystem in Korea.

Development of R&D Knowledge Management System for Science & Technology Research Institutes, which was initiated early 2001, was introduced. The project, funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, is being carried out by several R&D institutes in cooperation With implementers. The purposes of the project are: sharing knowledge about on-going research progresses and existing research results, facilitating cooperative efforts among research staff, teams, and institutes, and improving the efficiency of research project administration. The system consists of 4 components that are highly intertwined: Knowledge Portal, Knowledge Repository, Project Administration System and Groupware. This 3-year project will benefit R&D researchers, and R&D project carrying-out institutes and government project administration organization by facilitating research and development activities, and improving management efficiency, respectively.
