Organizations are increasingly adopting Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) to effectively manage knowledge within the organization and realize firm and operational level benefits. However, many KMS implementations fail to yield desired outcomes due to the lack of understanding of the antecedent of successful knowledge management. Prior studies have established that organizational cultural values are one of the key enablers of knowledge management. We develop a computational model of organizational knowledge processes and employ simulations to examine the impact of KMS in different organizational cultural settings. We find that cultural values that govern the employees' predisposition towards seeking knowledge from others have a greater influence on KMS effectiveness than those that govern the employees' attitudes towards sharing their knowledge with others. We also find that organizations with cultures that foster high levels knowledge sharing behaviors can expect performance gains if KMS implementations incorporate knowledge seeking activities into the employees' work processes.

This is a report on a new methodology to manage design knowledge by utilizing a knowledge-based CAD and a prototype system named $C^3$ (Cubic; CAD knowledge Code Capacitor), which is being developed using our methodology. $C^3$ facilitates (i) the automatic generation of a knowledge code for a knowledge-based CAD by processing design documents written in the format near the natural language, such as English or Japanese, and (ii) automatically generation of a design document written in the format near the natural language from the knowledge code. The features of the system facilitate document-based design knowledge management which reduces the designer's load to encode and maintain design knowledge, because it is easier for a designer to treat a natural language description than a coded description.

As knowledge has been recognized as a new resource in gaining organizational competitiveness, Knowledge Management (KM) is suggested as a method to manage and apply knowledge for business management. KM research, however, has focused on identifying, storing, and distributing the transaction-related knowledge in an organization. There has been little research on applying the knowledge to decision-making or strategy development that is the main task of business management. The application of knowledge to decision making has higher impact on organizational performance rather than just the knowledge management for process transaction. In this research, we suggest System Dynamics (SD) for the knowledge-based decision-making. Based on the modeling method of SD, we can translate partial and implicit knowledge resident in individual's mental model into organized explicit knowledge. The simulation test of the organized knowledge model enables decision-makers to understand the structure of the target problem and its behavior mechanism, which facilitates effective decision-making. We will compare the proposed method and other KM methods and discuss this research based on the application case to a real telecommunication company.

Based on the diffusion of innovation paradigm, this study conceptualizes the constituent components (3P) and the growth stages (6C) for knowledge management. It is critical for knowledge management efforts to identify 'where we are' and decide 'where to go' and then to manage 'how to go'. As a framework for the success of knowledge management, the 3P6C model is intended to systematically guide these efforts toward knowledge asset management and implementation, for knowledge productivity. This model is illustratively applied to such success stories as in Skandia, Buchman Lab and Hall Mark Cards. Such applications of this model show that they have been through such prior activities required in the earlier stages, and thattechnological platform is just one of the 3 key components working as an enabler, implying together the existence of growth path in KM success. Provided in the appendix are a set of exemplary scenarios in knowledge management practice for growth stage assessment.

본 연구는 관계중심적 지식관의 관점에서 지식공유의 영향 요인을 파악하고, 이 요인들이 실제로 지식공유에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳐서 지식성과활동을 향상 시키는지 알아보고자 한다. 독립변수인 관계적 요인은 신뢰, 개방적 의사소통, 협동으로 설정하였고, 지식공유의 영향을 받는 종속 변수인 지식활동성과는 지식품질과 지식경영사용자만족도로 설정하였다. 본 연구를 통해 조직경쟁력 향상을 위해서는 지식뿐만 아니라 그것을 사용하는 사람 및 주변 환경까지 관리할 필요가 있음을 제안한다.

플랜트를 대상으로 하는 엔지니어링의 업무영역은 플랜트의 기획, 설계, 시공, 운영 및 폐기에 이르는 생애주기에 걸친 생산성과 성능 및 품질에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 복합적인 기술분야이다. 이때 발생하는 다양한 유형의 데이터를 활용하여 의사결정을 활용하는 것은 후속 과정뿐만 아니라 생애주기 관점에서도 중요한 영향을 미치고 있다. 하지만 이러한 데이터를 통합적으로 관리하고 분석할 수 있는 시스템은 부족하다. 본 논문에서는 플랜트 생애주기에서 발생하는 데이터를 관리하고 활용할 수 있는 지식베이스 기반 플랜트 엔지니어링 분석 플랫폼을 개발하였다. 플랫폼에서는 기수집된 엔지니어링 데이터를 전처리한 지식베이스를 제공하고, 이를 레퍼런스 데이터로 AI 모델에 활용하도록 분석 기능과 시각화를 제공한다. 사용자는 플랫폼을 통한 선행기술과 축적된 지식의 활용을 통해 데이터 분석을 진행하고 시각화를 의사결정에 활용해 경험에만 의존하던 공사를 합리적이고 체계적으로 관리할 수 있다.

There have been a lot of researches about KM(knowledge management) in domestic and foreign countries since 1990. Especially, there have been a lot of researches about enabler of KM, knowledge asset etc. but these are insufficient researches about performance measure of knowledge management considering maturity of KM. In addition, performance measure and maturity considering enabler to manage successful knowledge as well as knowledge asset which can be the following result are not the sufficient situation. Therefore, this study makes developmental levels of the inside and outside of the corporate by observing previous studies about the maturity of knowledge management and classifies enabler of knowledge management and measure item about knowledge asset by level, considering the features of each developmental level. And it is designed to propose maturity measure methods considering maturity level of actual knowledge management item by drawing indicator to measure classified items.

We propose a framework for modelling and operation management of robotic assembly cells via knowledge base. In the framework, each component of the cell is considered as a state variable, the relations among the state variables are stored in state transition maps(STMs) and then transformed into the form of knowledge. The assembly job tree(AJT) which includes the precedence relations and the constraints for assembly tasks is also described. Finally, an algorithm is presented to manage the cell operation.

Also, we'll manage the light-rail transit system development efficiently and systematically, constructing the web-based knowledge information system.

지식관리시스템은 조직 내 지식 자산을 효과적으로 관리하고 그 효용을 극대화하기 위해 도입하는 정보시스템이다. 엔지니어링 분야의 경우 해당 분야 전문가의 지식과 노하우에 절대적으로 의존하는 경우가 대부분이므로 지식관리시스템의 도입 효과가 매우 클 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 엔지니어링 분야에서 조직 내 지식을 효과적으로 관리하고 공유하기 위해 필요한 지식관리시스템의 분석 및 설계를 수행하였다. 건설 및 자동차 분야의 실무 전문가를 대상으로 수행한 조사를 통해 엔지니어링 지식관리시스템의 구축 수요와 구축 시 성공요인을 도출하였으며 이를 기반으로 분석 및 설계과정에 객체지향 접근방식을 도입하였다. 건설과 자동차 분야를 기준으로 엔지니어링 지식관리시스템의 사용자 요구사항 도출, 지식맵 설계, 시스템 설계 및 정보 흐름 분석을 수행하였으며 다양한 엔지니어링 분야에 적용 가능한 유연한 시스템 모형을 제안하였다.
