  • Fuzzy logic, neural network, fuzzy-neural network play an important as the key technology of linguistic modeling for intelligent control and decision making in complex systems. The fuzzy -neural network (FNN) learning represents one of the most effective algorithms to build such linguistic models. This paper proposes learning approach of fuzzy-neural network by immune algorithm. The proposed learning model is presented in an immune based fuzzy-neural network (FNN) form which can handle linguistic knowledge by immune algorithm. The learning algorithm of an immune based FNN is composed of two phases. The first phase used to find the initial membership functions of the fuzzy neural network model. In the second phase, a new immune algorithm based optimization is proposed for tuning of membership functions and structure of the proposed model.

  • One of the most important prerequisites for a successful software process is the collaboration and software requirements negotiation of all stakeholders in the software development process. Remote users using computer networks can negotiate software requirements by computer supported system, and can share their informations. The goal of software requirements negotiation system is an integration of all win conditions and an agreement after resolution of conflicts. The existing systems need an exclusive system and must be dependent on specific platform and network. Users must have the knowledge of all stakeholder's status and use homogeneous collaborating applications. This paper presents the Web-based software requirements negotiation system for the purpose of resolution of the existing systems' problems. The Web-based software requirements negotiation system can be driven by WinWin Spiral model, and it is based on hybrid execution method. The proposed system is validated and tested on heterogeneous environments.

  • In order to construct a successful electronic commerce system, three main essential factors must be satisfied to obtain the best effective outcomes. The three main essential factors are as follows : economic factor, effectiveness factor and convenient factor. In order to understand the role of these three factors, one must have some insight knowledge about security to assist him to implement these three factors in his construction of an electronic commerce system. This paper analyses a implementation mechanism of security systems based on the SET 1.0 standard for electronic commerce systems, thus providing an effective plan for the construction of a security system in the SET-based electronic commerce field. This paper helps to analyse the elements of security vulnerabilities in the SET 1.0 standard implementation and also helps to understand the SET 1.0 protocol.

  • Haptic rendering is a process that provides force feedback during interactions between a user and an object. This paper presents a haptic rendering technique for a telemanipulation system of deformable objects using image processing and physically based modeling techniques. The interaction forces between an instrument driven by a haptic device and a deformable object are inferred in real time based on a continuum mechanics model of the object, which consists of a boundary element model and ${\alpha}$ priori knowledge of the object's mechanical properties. Macro- and micro-scale experimental systems, equipped with a telemanipulation system and a commercial haptic display, were developed and tested using silicone (macro-scale) and zebrafish embryos (micro-scale). The experimental results showed the effectiveness of the algorithm in different scales: two experimental systems applied the same algorithm provided haptic feedback regardless of the system scale.

Cooperation of Time-delay for Internet-based Mobile Robot Using Fuzzy Logic

  • Recently, internet-based applications can be found easily in various felds. Internet-based telerobot system becomes one of important applications of internet. Among many important technological issues on the internet-based telerobot, time-delay is inherently critical problem to be solved. Time-delay is classified as micro time-delay and macro time-delay in this paper. Algorithms for compensation of path-error and time-error are proposed for the both types of time-delays using fuzzy logic since fuzzy logic is one of the best tools to represent expert's knowledge. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed algorithms.

Fuzzy Neural Network Based Sensor Fusion and It's Application to Mobile Robot in Intelligent Robotic Space

  • In this paper, a sensor fusion based robot navigation method for the autonomous control of a miniature human interaction robot is presented. The method of navigation blends the optimality of the Fuzzy Neural Network(FNN) based control algorithm with the capabilities in expressing knowledge and learning of the networked Intelligent Robotic Space(IRS). States of robot and IR space, for examples, the distance between the mobile robot and obstacles and the velocity of mobile robot, are used as the inputs of fuzzy logic controller. The navigation strategy is based on the combination of fuzzy rules tuned for both goal-approach and obstacle-avoidance. To identify the environments, a sensor fusion technique is introduced, where the sensory data of ultrasonic sensors and a vision sensor are fused into the identification process. Preliminary experiment and results are shown to demonstrate the merit of the introduced navigation control algorithm.

  • An automatic approach and strategy for extracting building information from aerial images using combined image analysis and interpretation techniques is described in this paper. A dense DSM is obtained by stereo image matching. Multi-band classification, DSM, texture segmentation and Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) are used to reveal building interest areas. Then, based on the derived approximate building areas, a shape modelling algorithm based on the level set formulation of curve and surface motion has been used to precisely delineate the building boundaries. Data fusion, based on the Dempster-Shafer technique, is used to interpret simultaneously knowledge from several data sources of the same region, to find the intersection of propositions on extracted information derived from several datasets, together with their associated probabilities. A number of test areas, which include buildings with different sizes, shape and roof colour have been investigated. The tests are encouraging and demonstrate that the system is effective for building extraction, and the determination of more accurate elevations of the terrain surface.

Content Modeling Based on Social Network Community Activity

  • The advancement of knowledge society has enabled the social network community (SNC) to be perceived as another space for learning where individuals produce, share, and apply content in self-directed ways. The content generated within social networks provides information of value for the participants in real time. Thus, this study proposes the social network community activity-based content model (SoACo Model), which takes SNC-based activities and embodies them within learning objects. The SoACo Model consists of content objects, aggregation levels, and information models. Content objects are composed of relationship-building elements, including real-time, changeable activities such as making friends, and participation-activity elements such as "Liking" specific content. Aggregation levels apply one of three granularity levels considering the reusability of elements: activity assets, real-time, changeable learning objects, and content. The SoACo Model is meaningful because it transforms SNC-based activities into learning objects for learning and teaching activities and applies to learning management systems since they organize activities -- such as tweets from Twitter -- depending on the teacher's intention.

  • This paper complements the work of Courtney et al. in viewing learning organizations as inquiring systems. Hegelian inquiring systems are based on the dialectic. Dialectic can not exist without dialogue. The guarantor of this system is conflict. Hegelian inquiring systems would facilitate multiple and contradictory interpretations of reality. Hegelian synthesis of two opposing models-thesis and antithesis-is the epitome of open systems and double-loop learning. Knowledge gained from the Hegelian inquiring systems may result in an entirely new strategic direction to organizations. This paper reviews some guidelines and principles of Hegelian learning organizations and IT support of it. Also it proposes the immediate deployment of Hegelian learning organizations in the wicked business environments and finally suggests the development of new, flexible information technologies and systems for Hegelian organizations.
