Absorptive capacity has been increasingly thought of as a potential source of innovation. From the knowledge management perspective, absorptive capacity is composed of a set of activities dealing with acquisition, assimilation, transformation, and exploitation of external and internal knowledge. This study investigates what relationship the absorptive capacity of individuals who have technical knowledge in the organization has with process innovation and product innovation. Mobile based survey was conducted from the employees working for the largest electronics manufacturer in Korea. The analyzed data was based on 156 responses from 199 participants. The analysis result shows that four phases of absorptive capacity such as acquisition, assimilation, transformation and exploitation have different effects on process innovation and product innovation, respectively. Specifically, transformation is found to be most critical in leading to innovation.

On the basis of the meaning and general process of geometric proof through transformation concept and understanding the geometric properties of linear transformation, this study showed that the centroid of geometrical figure and certain properties of a parabola and an ellipse in school mathematics can be explained as a conservative properties through linear transformation. From an educational perspective, this is a good example of showing the process of how several existing individual knowledge can be reorganized by a mathematical concept. Considering the fact that mathematical usefulness of linear transformation can be revealed through an invariable and conservation concept, further discussion is necessary on whether the linear transformation map included in the former curriculum have missed its point.

기업의 전략적 의사결정자는 불확실성과 복잡성에 직면해왔다. 그리고 그들은 이러한 환경 하에서 의사결정을 내려야 함에도 불구하고 그들의 의사결정에 필요한 충분한 시간, 인력, 예산, 그리고 지식이 충분히 주어지지 않는다. 그래서 그들은 그 분야에 대한 암묵적 지식을 지닌 전문가들의 지원을 받는 수 밖에 없다. 그러나 의사결정자들이 어떤 문제에 직면할 때 마다 의사결정에 필요한 새로운 지식을 창조하고 변형하고 결합하고 응용하는 다른 절차나 방법을 발견하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 본 논문은 노나카에 의해 제안된 지식변환과정을 이용함으로써 전략적 의사결정을 지원할 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 본 연구는 컨설팅 산업분야에서 전략적 의사결정의 응용사례를 예시한다. 이 논문은 제안된 방법에 기초한 의사결정지원기법으로서 인지지도를 사용한다.

This study investigated the key role of sketches in creative fashion design by observing the cognitive process of idea development through a professional's design problem solving using the medium of hand sketching. The three-part semi-constrained design experiment with a professional designer, in which the participant designer was provided a source of inspiration image and asked to design a small collection of outfits, identified a fashion designer's idea development process as involving two phases of sketch processes: lateral and vertical transformation. Analysis of the video/audio recording and corresponding interviews validated lateral transformation in the designer's use of sketches to represent interpretation of the provided inspiration source. Through sketching, the designer transferred fuzzy ideas onto paper. Vertical transformation was observed through the designer's modification of previous ideas after reflecting on earlier sketches, with various ideas divided, manipulated, discarded, regrouped, and combined through sketching activities. The designer's sketching process is valuable design knowledge that facilitates the idea development process and ultimately triggers generation of creative ideas. Understanding it may benefit practitioners and educators.

The knowledge management was considered as the inevitable result of the rule of knowledge in this era, and its importance became clear in being the main source for achieving success, the need to consider and manage knowledge as an independent field that must be addressed with a clear scientific methodology has become intangible - they are very valuable and a strategic asset. On the other hand, the innovation process relates to all parts of the organization, and helps to improve the behavioral patterns of individuals and their attitudes towards adopting modern and innovative ideas, it is a purposeful process adopted by the senior management and works to provide the capabilities and requirements for embodying the innovative behavior in it. In the field of dealing with the market, it is a product of the organization's innovative approach, which aims at advancement, change, and intended and organized renewal. The main objective of this article is to determine the most appropriate ways to integrate knowledge management mechanisms to employ innovation factors within universities based on the role of universities in supporting innovation. This was achieved through reviewing many relevant research and listing the most prominent concepts of knowledge management, its importance, objectives, and processes determining the stages of knowledge management application, the requirements for applying knowledge management, and the obstacles that impede its application; Then the statement "Innovation in universities, through which it addressed the concept of innovation, its importance, stages, and requirements for its application, as well as identifying the most prominent models of innovation, and obstacles to innovation, in addition to that the role of universities in supporting innovation will be identified. From the surveyed study done in this article, we concluded that the relationship among organizational culture, knowledge management and innovation capability can provide useful insights for managers regarding developing a strong culture, promote knowledge management practices effectively and eventually enhance the whole organization's innovation capability. Also, we found that different components of Knowledge Management as Knowledge activities, Knowledge types, transformation of knowledge and technology have a significant positive effect in bringing innovation through transformation of knowledge into knowledge assets in universities.

It is the development of a mathematics teachers' teaching knowledge that manifests a mathematics teacher's professional knowledge growth. It is becoming a direct and effective approach of conversion of mathematical knowledge into the knowledge of mathematics teaching. Through the investigation, the study revealed that the knowledge conversion process of mathematics teachers in middle school is restricted by three aspects including eight factors. From this point, the authors have structured the path and model on influencing factors of middle school Mathematics Teaching Knowledge Conversion (MPCK), and discuss the mechanism of the transformation process.

The mechanism of knowledge production in the basic science has been changed throughout the development process in Korea. During the 1970s, the focus resides in the support of individual scientists while it concentrated on the support of research organization, centered on center of excellence from the 1980s. The change in the sup-porting mechanism to basic science result in the transformation of knowledge production system in the university and impact on the behavior of individual scientists. This paper focuses on the co-evolution process between newly adopted supporting program for basic science and the knowledge production system via the case study of representative program of center of excellence supporting program in Korea.

In the knowledge development of online assessment in learning management systems (LMSs), many assessments are evaluated weekly in the summer training course for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at King Abdul-Aziz University in Saudi Arabia. The number of performance assessments in the summer training course reaches 15 weeks. Many of them, however, are sent or done informally or through unreliable ways and cannot be verified by third parties. Therefore, applying the concept of digital transformation is essential. This research study reported herein used the action design research (ADR) method to build a new information technology system that could assist in the digital transformation. An electronic platform was designed, developed, implemented, and evaluated using the ADR method so that the main people involved in the summer training process (i.e., students, academic supervisors, and administrators) would have a high level of satisfaction with it. The study was conducted on 452 students, 105 academic supervisors, and 15 administrative staff and was conducted during the summer semester of 2020. All the training processes were digitally transformed and automated to control and raise the level and reliability of the training. All involved people were satisfied, thus, shifting the process to be in a digital form assist in achieving the high-level goal.

We propose utilizing a fuzzy cognitive map(FCM) to integrate tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge both of which are crucial to the success of knowledge management. Recently, explicit knowledge is getting more available as CRM and data mining approaches become popular as the advent of using database and the Internet technology. However, for the knowledge management to be successful, tacit knowledge should be seamlessly integrated with explicit knowledge seamlessly. The problem hindering such effort is how to find a vehicle facilitating transformation of explicit knowledge into tacit knowledge, and vice versa. FCM has been important method for representing tacit knowledge as a form of explict knowledge. In this respect, we suggest the detailed process about how to integrate explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge by using FCM. We gathered extensive set of data from the credit card company, and applied our proposed method. Results showed that our approach is robust and promising for the field of integrating two different kinds of knowledge.
