A Study on the efficient Operation Policy of Knowledge Management (지식경영의 효율적인 운영방안에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is concerned with the study of 'Knowledge Management', a paradigm of thought based on the idea that the future will be a knowledge-centered society. This paper also provides an overview of both 'what to manage' and 'how to manage' if an organization wants to develop in this environment. The process of 'Knowledge Management' begins with a decision. Presented with a myriad of information, of which we can't afford to obtain it all, what information is of value to the organization? Further, by systematically organizing not only the primary information but also that which was accumulated in the process, Knowledge Management is capable of suggesting a value-added plan of action. This research presents the necessary principles needed in order to successfully use Knowledge Management, specifically a harmony between the human and technological aspects. There cannot be a static solution to the problem, as the environment of the enterprise's problem is dynamic in nature. Throughout the process, the enterprise will constantly change its strategy and structure in order to adapt to variable knowledge, technology, strategy, regulations, consumer interest, etc... The essential constant of these problems is the importance of spending on education. Investments in educations help develope a infrastructure for Information Technology, the development of knowledge distribution strategies, and the creation of efficient Knowledge Management policy.

A Study on the Blockchain based Knowledge Sharing Platform (블록체인 기반의 지식공유 플랫폼 연구)

  • A blockchain based platform can ensure data integrity, reliability, and security by applying distributed processing and encryption technology for transaction records. In the existing knowledge sharing platform, the created knowledge could not be shared or utilized sufficiently due to information asymmetry and centralization. However little research has been done so far on this area. In this study, we will examine case studies and development potentials for blockchain based knowledge sharing platforms based on previous studies of blockchain technology, token economy, knowledge sharing, motivation theory, and social exchange theory. Blockchain based platforms can contribute to the activation of knowledge sharing, by resolving information asymmetry, simplifying unnecessary work procedures through unified knowledge sharing flow and excluded centralization of authority by decentralization, and strengthening access and utilization of the knowledge produced by the platform.

The relationship between dementia-related knowledge and attitude in people in their 20s and 60s

  • This study is a cross-sectional survey study aimed at collecting basic data for the development of a program to cultivate a positive attitude toward dementia among people caring for dementia patients. For this study, data were collected from March 1 to March 7, 2022 as a structured questionnaire, and 232 study participants were in their 20s to 60s. The collected data were derived from chi-square test, t-test, and simple regression analysis using the spss 18.0 program. As a result of the analysis, women had higher treatment knowledge for dementia than men, men had higher attitudes toward dementia than women (p<0.01), and people living with dementia patients had higher attitudes than those who gave birth (p<0.01). Attitudes toward dementia were more positive in the family than those with dementia patients (p<0.01). Dementia-related knowledge consists of disease knowledge, treatment knowledge, and nursing knowledge, of which only positive dementia attitude affects dementia treatment knowledge (t=5.29, p<0.01). Based on these results, it is suggested that the provision of accurate knowledge about dementia treatment should be planned first as a nursing program for dementia patients.

Does R&D Mediate the Impact of ICT on Productivity through Knowledge Transfer?

  • The information and communication technology (ICT) value creation process is inherently unobservable. In addition to the direct effect of ICT on productivity, some information or knowledge can create value through other knowledge activities. In this paper, we study the impact of ICT on productivity through R&D. We tested the mediating effect of R&D between ICT and productivity using panel data from 47 US industries from 1987 to 2013 from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The results show that R&D partially mediates ICT and productivity. That is, ICT directly increases productivity, and some of its effects can be realized through R&D. Recipients who acquire knowledge through ICT have to interpret codified ideas and apply them to practice. The increased absorptive capacity that can be developed through R&D improves interpretation ability, allowing employees to share more complex ideas. Thus, ICT helps people to effectively communicate, but some information and knowledge can be realized and applied through R&D knowledge activities. This is the first study empirically examining the process of ICT value creation through R&D. It also provides practical guidelines for knowledge management, such as making decisions about ICT and R&D investments that are better done concurrently rather than individually to maximize their impact on productivity.

Correlation between pre-dementia emotional control behavior and symptomes of dementia patients

  • This study is a cross-sectional research study that analyzed the relationship between emotional regulation behavior and knowledge related to dementia among various age groups in order to collect basic data to reveal the relationship between the characteristics of emotional regulation of dementia patients before dementia and the symptoms of rapid emotional change after dementia. Data collection was from March 1 to March 20, 2024, and a total of 223 people were voluntarily participating in the study from their 20s to 70s. The collected data were t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis using sps 18.0. The analysis showed that people who normally act pretentiously were not related to dementia-related knowledge, but those who act honestly had an impact on dementia-related content knowledge (t=14.808, p<0.01), treatment knowledge of dementia (t=7.916, p<0.01), and knowledge of nursing dementia (t=12.453, p<0.01) under a statistical significance level. And it was found that the inner behavior of emotional regulation behavior had an effect on dementia knowledge at 49.8%, the effect on treatment knowledge was 22.1%, and the effect on nursing knowledge was 41.2%. (p<0.01). Based on the results of this study, we propose a continuous study on how emotional behavior before dementia is related to rapid emotional change behavior after dementia disease.

  • The Knowledge Transfer (KT) for higher education institutions (HEIs) is boundless. Still and all, the members of the staff affiliated with these institutions do recognize an array of hitches in relation to KT practices. The study in question underscores social interactions, training, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as the primary barriers and treats them as the independent variables of the study. The study posits that inadequate management of the above-mentioned barriers would impact effective KT unfavorably. Besides, putting forth some striking solutions needed to fix the obstructions that hamper the adequate management of the KT exercises is another aim of the study. For data collection purposes, the study picks out higher education institutions (public) of the Quetta district. The reckoned sample size is 317 subjects. The research type that has been used is cross-sectional research and, in this context, the cross-sectional explanatory sequential design has been used. Concerning the findings of the paper, the results of PLS-SEM show positive and significant relationships of social interaction and training with knowledge transfer, while ICT shows an insignificant positive relationship with the knowledge transfer. The most influencing factor for the knowledge transfer is social interaction as suggested by social interaction theory.

  • The development of science and technology oriented knowledge society accelerates the convergence between scientific theory and industrial technology and increases the complexity problem of social and economic sectors. These cause the difficulty of securing the reliability and objectivity of science and technology policy. These also are barriers of balanced evaluation between rational science and technology policy making, management, and policy coordination. In this regard, Advanced countries in science and technology develops policy support system and promotes the program of evidence-based SciSIP(Science of Science and Innovation policy) together. This paper introduces a new approach developing science service of science and technology policy utilizing business intelligence technology in Korea. Also, it proposes the integration method of policy knowledge base and component-based service supporting S&T policy decision-making process and introduces services case studies.

  • 교차언어검색 시스템은 다양한 언어자원을 필요로 한다. 여기서는 한-일 대역어 사전과 일본어 문서의 바이그램 색인만을 이용해서 교차언어검색을 수행하는 방법을 제시한다. 한국어로 된 자연어 질의에서 형태소분석기 등의 도움 없이 간단하게 일본어 대역어 리스트를 생성할 수 있는 방법과, 검색의 성능을 올릴 수 있도록 대역어에 가중치를 부여하는 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 실험을 통해 제시한 방법을 평가하고 분석한다.

Fuzzy based Intelligent Expert Search for Knowledge Management Systems

  • In managing organizational tacit knowledge, recent researches have shown that it is more applicable in many ways to provide expert search mechanisms in KMS to pinpoint experts in the organizations with searched expertise. In this paper, we propose an intelligent expert search framework to provide search capabilities for experts in similar or related fields according to the user′s information needs. In enabling intelligent expert searches, Fuzzy Abstraction Hierarchy (FAH) framework has been adopted, through which finding experts with similar or related expertise is possible according to the subject field hierarchy defined in the system. To improve FAH, a text categorization approach called Vector Space Model is utilized. To test applicability and practicality of the proposed framework, the prototype system, "Knowledge Portal for Researchers in Science and Technology" sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Korea, was developed.
