기업 실행공동체(Communities of Practice) 성과측정체계의 탐색적 분석 (An Exploratory Analysis on Performance Measurement Framework of Organizational Communities of Practice)

  • Firm which implement knowledge management initiatives have found interest in nurturing voluntary knowledge sharing organizations, called communities of practice(CoP). One of the fundamental problems for adopting or implementing CoP is how the firms can measure the performance of CoP. Despite interest in CoP by firms, empirical studies on CoP performance measurement are rare. Thus, this study intends to help the organizations by introducing CoP performance measurement framework based on the previous researches. The framework is further validated by comparing with the eight actual cases. Finally, we propose three propositions regarding the CoP performance measurement.

Predicting Online Learning Adoption: The Role of Compatibility, Self-Efficacy, Knowledge Sharing, and Knowledge Acquisition

  • Online learning is becoming ubiquitous worldwide because of its accessibility anytime and from anywhere. However, it cannot be successfully implemented without understanding constructs that may affect its adoption. Unlike previous literature, this research extends the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology with three well-known theories, namely compatibility, online self-efficacy, and knowledge sharing and acquisition to examine online learning adoption. A total of 264 higher education students took part in this research. Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling was used to evaluate the proposed theoretical model. The findings suggested that performance expectancy and compatibility were significant predictors of behavioral intention, whereas behavioral intention, facilitating conditions, and compatibility had a significant and direct effect on online learning's actual use. The results also showed that knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and online self-efficacy were determinates of performance expectancy. Finally, online self-efficacy was a predictor of effort expectancy. The proposed model achieved a high fit and explained 47.7%, 75.1%, 76.1%, and 71.8% of the variance of effort expectancy, performance expectancy, behavioral intention, and online learning actual use, respectively. This study has many theoretical and practical implications that have been discussed for further research.

  • In the previous KM (Knowledge Management) studies, it has been repeatedly pointed that CoP (Community of Practice) should be used as a platform for boosting up corporate innovative activities. Despite this, it is very rare to find relevant literature in which real-world cases are introduced showing critical success factors, implemented strategies, and objective analysis of results. In this sense, main objective of this paper is very timely- to introduce a real-world CoP case in which POSCO, world-leading steel company, sorted out creative CoP strategies to nurture knowledge-sharing activities to solve various kinds of problems at hand, and maintain appropriate level of knowledge circulation throughout all the working units of company. In a nutshell, POSCO has been successful in any measure in utilizing the creative CoP activities as strategic means to change the paradigm of innovation and extract fruitful outcomes from integrating three important individual activities such as work, learning, and innovation.

  • 학습공동체는 지식의 효율적 공유를 위해서 다양한 분야에서 강조되고 있다. 학습공동체의 중요성과 이의 활성화에 대한 연구는 많이 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 학습공동체를 평가하고 전략을 제시하고자 하는 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 학습공동체를 평가하고자 하는 연구는 이루어지고 있을지라도 단순 평가가 전략을 제시하는 수준으로는 이어지지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 학습공동체를 지식흐름을 토대로 진단하고 이를 토대로 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 교육기관에서는 지식의 전이와 공유를 위해서 학습공동체를 다양한 형태로써 활용하고 있다. 지식흐름을 진단하기 위한 프레임워크를 사회연결망분석을 기반으로 제시하고, 이를 교육기관에 적용함으로써 본 연구의 적용가능성 및 유용성을 검증하고자 한다.

공급 네트워크에서의 공유가치 창출(CSV) (Value-Sharing in Purchasing and Supply Chain: Microfoundations for CSV)

  • In spite of its popularity among practitioner and academic audiences, few existing studies go into any detail in examining the mechanisms of creating shared value (CSV), especially as applicable to the context of everyday operations. Nor do they provide recommendations to practitioners with regard to facilitating CSV concept. In response to this problem, I introduce benefit-sharing practice which I argue provides a solid route to the concept of CSV. Based on observations from the case study, 10 networks' benefit-sharing practices are analyzed and its featured characteristics are extracted accordingly. Findings demonstrate that such benefit-sharing models as 'Green-Development', 'Protection of the Environment', and 'Accreditation for Food Safety Management' can solve critical societal challenges while simultaneously driving greater profitability for both buyers and suppliers. The findings also suggest that benefit-sharing is a good vehicle of the realization of the CSV concept. I conclude by assessing how the findings add to the existing debate around collaborative supply-relationship and shared value. I suggest that benefit-sharing can contribute positively to the feasibility of CSV concept and, thereby, counter the assertion that CSV is the only immature-concept that lacks clear criteria of demarcation and cases for businesses to follow.

  • Effective knowledge sharing and creating requires human networking as well as system. Corporation 'S' organized 'community of practice(CoP),' which is a virtual group based on work process, skill, and interest. The purpose of this study is to suggest effective CoP establishment and implementation methods, based upon 'S' experience. The effective methods this study suggests are : setting up clear CoP objectives by each CoP; dual CoP system with career centered and subject centered; alignment with business strategy; guide by knowledge integrator, and professional competence development as CoP purpose. Key success factors to CoP activities also include effective communication, facilitators' competency, and managers' support.

학습 공동체의 특성이 기업 e-Learning 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Community of Learning(CoL) on the e-Learning Performance)

  • The present paper examines the effect of "community of learning" factors as well as learning and contextual factors on the e-learning performance empirically. The concept of community of learning, which was derived from community of practice, has not been emphasized in previous studies on e-learning. Data were collected from 226 people who had experienced e-learning and multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The results are as follows; First, learning motivation and appropriateness of learning contents, ease of system use, and knowledge sharing have a positive effect on learner's satisfaction. Whereas, learning motivation, appropriateness of learning contents, ease of system use, knowledge sharing, and activated communication are appeared to affect the ability of performing tasks significantly.

교육실습에 참여한 예비 초등교사들이 테크놀로지 활용 과학수업 실행에서 느끼는 어려움과 요구 (The Difficulties and Needs of Pre-service Elementary Teachers in the Science Class utilizing Smart Technologies in Teaching Practice)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify pre-service elementary school teachers' difficulties and needs in the science class utilizing smart technologies. The participants were nine pre-service elementary teachers who had practical training at an elementary school and took classes related to technology, pedagogy, and science knowledge. The data was collected through semi-constructed and in-depth interviews. The documents such as participants' guidance plans, daily records produced in teaching practice was collected and analyzed. The results of the research are as follow: Pre-service teachers have usually used the technology as a secondary transfer media to convey the knowledge. We found that the pre-service elementary teachers had 15 difficulties in the science class utilizing smart technologies. In addition, they needed a class to focus more on teaching them by integrating technology knowledge, pedagogy knowledge, and science knowledge, and by sharing a real case of science class utilizing smart technologies.

사회연결망을 이용한 지식전파 분석의 프레임워크 (A Framework for Knowledge Propagation Analysis using Social Network)

  • 기업은 조직내에서 공유되고 사용되는 지식을 경쟁우위와 직결된 지적자본으로 인식하고 있다. 이에 따라 많은 선행연구에서 지식근로자 사이에 공유되는 지식을 파악하고자 노력하였다. 선행 연구의 한 가지 접근법은 정보기술을 이용하여 자동화되고 효율적으로 명시적인 지식을 공유하는 기술적인 방법을 강조하는 접근법이며 다른 접근법은 지식근로자간 휴먼 네트워크를 이용하여 암묵적인 지식의 흐름을 파악하고자 하는 연구이다. 두 번째 접근법의 경우 지식공유를 위해 실행공동체의 역할이 강조되고 있으나 자발적인 참여가 아닌 경우 실행공동체를 파악하기 힘들다는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 휴먼 네트워크를 사회연결망 관점에서 파악하여 지식의 전파를 분석하고 실행공동체에 참여할 수 있는 지식근로자를 찾아내는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 두 가지 사회연결망 관련 지표를 이용하여 지식 근로자를 분류하는 프레임워크를 제시하고 실무적용 가능성을 확인한 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

혼종모형을 이용한 암묵적 간호지식의 개념분석 (Concept Analysis of Tacit Nursing Knowledge)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study is to investigate the nature of tacit nursing knowledge practiced in the clinical field in Korea using hybrid models, and to clarify the definitions and attributes of the concept. Methods: The definition and nature of tacit nursing knowledge, obtained through a review of the extensive literature at the theoretical stage of the research, and the analysis of the in-depth interview data conducted by the career nurses in the fieldwork stage, are compared and analyzed. Results: The tacit nursing knowledge was found in three dimensions as knowledge related to the person, the clinical situation work context, the self, the others, and the task. The tacit nursing knowledge was defined as personal nursing knowledge and artistic skills that show up as unconscious behavior patterns, learned informally, and internalizedthrough repeated clinical practice experience based on professional nursing knowledge. Conclusion: Tacit nursing knowledge has been widely used in clinical practice and has been shown to have a great impact, directly or indirectly, on clinical nursing. Therefore, individual and organizational efforts are needed for validation and clarification using the generation, sharing, collection, and peer review of sound implicit nursing knowledge to ensure that it is properly applied.
