  • This study investigated the effects of variations in the kinetic structure on science knowledge acquisition. According to the rationale of the kinetic structure theory, a communication having high structrue would facilitate greater knowledge acquisition than a presentation with low structure. To testify that hypothesis, a modified non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design was used. Four 10th grade classes (2 classes for each sex) were selected. On the topic of human digestive system, two tape recorded lessons differing in kinetic structure were developed. On n of two was high structure ($\bar{B}_{1}$=0.56), and the other was low structrue ($\bar{B}_{1}$=0.99) Results indicated that the high structure lesson did not show significantly higher score than the low structrue lesson(F=2.225, P<0.137). But when the data were analyzed by sex, only boy students showed the result that the high structure lesson had significantly higher score than the low structure lesson (F=4.785, P<0.009). The results of this study suggest that a high Structure communication will facilitate the science achievement in the case of boy students.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the meaningfulness and the possibility of developing kinetic narrative educational contents based on English literature with convergent approaches. To accomplish the objective, this paper examines three areas of research such as kinetic education, English literature education, and total physical response-storytelling method. It introduces the following three stages of development procedure: 1) selecting and analyzing English literature, 2) designing a prototype including the story flow, the movement and the motion interaction design, and 3) constructing motion database using Laban movement analysis. Then, how to apply it to young learners is illustrated with 'the story of the three little pigs,' Finally, implication for the field of young learner English education and English literature is discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of STEAM program using Kinetic art. This program concentrates upon science and art in elementary school curriculum by 'Kinetic art'. The program was constructed 5 themes : Mobile, Light and Color, Rotation, Energy, Exhibition. The study was conducted 10 classes of the $5^{th}-6^{th}$ grade of the 5 school in G Metropolitan City. 5 classes (N=88) were experimental group and the other classes (N=72) were control group. The results of this study were as follows. First, the experimental group improved the STEAM literacy significantly (p<.01). Second, 10 interviewees who participated this study responded that this program was useful to understand the scientific knowledge, use their creativity, and become intimate with their friends. Third, visitors who watched the exhibition responded that this program will be useful to arose interest in science, understand the scientific knowledge, and improve convergent thinking ability.

  • This study aims to comparatively analyze kinetic variables that affect high jump records and thus to provide the basic data for enhancement of physical education teachers' teaching skills and expertise. 10 students who were majoring in physical education in a college of education - five males and five females - were chosen for the experiment in which the 3D image analyzer and ground reaction force measuring unit were adopted. The kinetic variables of the groups, the characteristics and differences were analyzed, and the correlation between each variable and record in each group was examined. The results are as follows: As to the height of center of gravity from one step before stamping to landing, the vertical velocity of the center of gravity at take off, the vertical velocity of the limbs at take off, the angles of the hip joint and ankle joint of the jumping leg, it turned out that male were better than female. As to the angles of the hip joint and ankle joint of the lead leg, female recorded higher values than male. As to the maximum vertical ground reaction force, the maximum horizontal ground reaction force, the vertical impulse, it turned out that male were better than female.

  • In this study, a new experimental device was developed for measurement of the coefficient of kinetic friction using a photo gate timer system which have advantages of easy and accurate detection of motion. This device, consisting of a side air-guide track and a side friction-free glider, forces a friction sample to move in a straight line without producing unnecessary friction. The new device is compared to two conventional measuring methods of friction for four different friction samples: one is using a camera system and the other is using a force sensor. It is demonstrated that the developed friction device in this study is easier to operate and produces the most accurate and the least deviating results among them. On the basis of these results, we propose that friction experiment using the new friction device is included in general physics experiment, so that engineering students should have a chance to get correct understanding of classical mechanics including friction phenomenon.

  • This study was to perform the kinetic analysis of tucked backward salto on the balance beam. Eight women's gymnastics players(age: $15.88{\pm}2.45yrs$, career: $6.38{\pm}0.52yrs$, height: $152.38{\pm}7.35cm$, weight: $44.25{\pm}7.54kg$) of the I-region participated in this study. The kinematic variables were analyzed response time of motion, angle, velocity, acceleration and the kinetic variables were analyzed ground reaction force(GRF) of motion. For measure and analysis of kinematic and kinetic variables of this study, used to synchronized to 6 Eagle camera and 1 force plate, used to the Cortex(Ver. 1.0) for analyzed of variables. The results were as follows; To the kinematic variables of tucked backward salto on the balance beam, a time appeared longer landing than air rotation, changes of angle regulated segment of body smaller moment of inertia when air rotation, larger moment of inertia when releasing and landing. A velocity appeared fast motion when releasing and air rotation of body, but appeared more decelerations from landing and acceleration showed to be tended to velocity. A GRF appears jump more than twice the weight at the moment that showed the power of motion to all subject.
