Double sheet detection system for feeder robots in automation line

  • We suggest a system to detection whether material picked up is double or single when the robot feeds them in automation line. This system measures thickness of metal plate and alarms when they are double sheet measuring boundary lines of metal sheet. This system calculates the minimum distance of straight boundary lines by eliminating noise in the edge regions. In the experimental system, double or single is determined by calculating implemented the thickness in the image where the distance of pixels are retrieved by the hash table. In this paper, the algorithm of histogram is adapted to experiment in the implement, thus proved as double sheet detection system.

Clinical Analysis on the Positional Vertigo Patients treated in an Oriental Medical Center (한방병원에 입원한 두위 현훈 환자의 임상 분석)

  • Background : Vertigo is a very common complaint in clinical practice. The number of patients who complain of vertigo has been increasing due to rapid growth of the elderly population. This study was designed to review the clinical features and success of oriental medical treatment of positional vertigo. Methods : This observation was made on 70 subjects diagnosed with positional vertigo. They were hospitalized in the Semyung University Oriental Medicine Hospital. Results : The results were as follows 1. Female patients (82.9%) were more than male patients. The most common age group was 8th decade and the patients rapidly increased after the 5th decade of age. 2. The most common past history of positional vertigo was hypertension, the second was cerebral infarction, and the third was hyperlipidemia. 3. In the oriental medicine diagnosis, phlegm-dampness syndrome (痰濕交阻 眩暈) was the most common disease (92.9%), and in western medicine, BPPV was the most (82.9%). 4. In herbal medication, Banhabaekchulchunma-tang gami (45.7%) was the most commonly used, the second being Taeksa-tang (30%). 5. The vertigo score of 94.3% patients improved and none got worse. 6. In general characteristics, men over 64 years improved best. Past history had no effect on the improvement of vertigo. 7. The sooner patients visited hospital after onset, the shorter hospitalization time was. Conclusions : Vertigo attacks patients well in advanced age, with various causative diseases. Oriental medical treatments have considerable effects on positional vertigo, especially treated with Banhabaekchulchunma-tang gami and Taeksa-tang.

  • Cancer is multifaceted disease that presents many challenges to clinicians and cancer researchers searching for more effective ways to combat its often devastating effects. Among the central challenges of this disease, are the identification of markers for improved diagnosis and classification of tumors, and the definition of targets for more effective therapeutic measures.   • Wm was isolated from Cynanchum wilfordii (Asclepiadaceae) as a mixture form of polypregnane glycosides that included wilfoside K1N and wilfoside C1N. In the present study, we investigated the anti-angiogenic effect of wilfoside glycosides using in vivo and in vitro assay systems. We first demonstrated that concentrated conditioned media obtained from Wm-treated HepG2 human hepatoblastoma cells blocked the angiogenic activation of Wm-untreated concentrated conditioned media, suggesting that Wm may have an inhibitory effect on tumor-induced angiogenesis.   • 본 논문에서는 Linear Frequency Modulation(LFM)을 이용하여 실해역에서 실험을 진행하였다. LFM 이란 시간에 따라 주파수가 변화하는 Chirp 신호를 전송하는 통신 기법이며 성능 분석을 위해 대한민국의 한강, 서해, 남해에서 각각 실험을 진행하였다. LFM 신호의 중심 주파수는 34kHz 대역폭은 1kHz로 설정하여 실험을 진행하였으며 채널 환경 분석을 위한 5초 길이의 Tone 신호를 함께 송·수신 하였다. 실험 결과 세 곳의 실험 포인트 모두에서 송·수신 신호 간의 뚜렷한 상호상관 결과를 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Systems engineering technology development program for Korea next-generation high-speed railway(KNHR) system in progress is a national large-scale system development program that is not only a large-size and complex but also multi-disciplinary in nature. Using the RDD-IOO, a systems engineering tool, the KNHR program can establish requirements traceability and development process management in the course of development. This paper presents the results from a computer-aided systems engineering application to KNHR system technology development project over the three years of activities. The traceability among the system design database in the vertical direction of SE process, as the results of the first year and the second year research was accomplished. The database in both the requirement management domain and the project management domain was developed and set up the traceability between them in the horizontal direction of the SE process in the V model as the results of the third year research. Therefore, KNHR design database was built to support the life-cycle management of the system as well as to reuse the knowledge in future programs. In the following development phase, this database will be utilized to accomplish the test and integration activities providing a baseline database. The outcome of the study contributes to the establishment of the model-based systems engineering approach as a best practice in the accumulation and advancement of systems engineering technology for railway system development.
