Acupuncture and moxibustion of theory had begun in the "Nei-Jing" and "Nan-Jing". But definite acupuncture needling techniques had been investigated after Jin and Yuan Dynasty. After Ming Dynasty, much more scholars had studied about definite acupuncture needling techniques. So various techniques and theorys about how to select and operate needling points appeared in print. "Zi-Wu-Liu-Zhu-Zhen-Jing", "Zhen-Jing-Zhi-Nan", "Shen-Ying-Jing", "Zhen-Jiu-Da-Quan" and so forth are representative books. But these books include mutually different techniques, so then scholars would be thrown into confusion. So I have analysed acupuncture and moxibustion of theory into Ki(vital energy)-blood's circulation, disease region, time, sex, restorative and restrictive techniques. As a result, I have known that every restorative and restrictive techniques and theories are connected with Ki(vital energy)-blood's circulation and practical application methods are decided by sex, time, disease region, pathogenic energy.

To closely examine the effects of the massage treatment as one method of curing hypertension by exploring the effects that one-time circulation-centered massage has on a hypertensive's blood pressure, this study selected as the subject ten among fifty-year-old essential hypertensives visiting N clinic, and measured and compared their blood pressures before and after I gave them massage. After stabilizing them, I measured their blood pressures. In their prone and supine postures, I gave them rubbing massage for twenty minutes from positions proximal to their hearts to ones distal from their hearts to help their artery circulation and circulation-centered stroking massage for ten minutes from positions distal from their hearts to ones proximal to their hearts to help their vein circulation. After the massage, I had them rest for five minutes and measured their blood pressures. Regarding each item analyzed, I calculated the mean and standard deviation before and after the massage. The difference before and after the massage was tested by corresponding t-test and the level of significance was made p<0.05. The findings are as follows. First, systolic pressure was $157.70{\pm}7.48$ before the massage and $143.00{\pm}9.39$, which is less than before the massage, after the massage, showing statistically significant difference (p<.05). Secondly, diastolic pressure was $97.80{\pm}6.56$before the massage and $95.20{\pm}5.18$, which is less than before the massage, after the massage, not showing statistically significant difference (p<.05).

Up to the present, digital replantation patients has appealed different symptoms due to blood circulatory failure. But, the level of blood circulatory failure has been evaluated only by clinical symptoms, or angiography. According to the cases of digit replantation is increasing, then objective evaluation methods of the level of blood circulation failure is needed other than patient's subjective symptoms and complaints. Although angiography, doppler, electromagnetic flowmeter, laser blood flowmeter, mechanical blood flowmeter has been used for the evaluation of the blood circulatory failure, the result was affected by time, place, surrounding temperature, patient's body temperature, and even emotion. Therefore, it is pointed out with lack of availability, feasibility and reproducibility. Thus, we compared digital blood flow of dominant hand to non dominant hand, and replanted fingers to opposite normal fingers from developed photo-plethysmography. The average digital blood flow showed no difference in normal digits each other, but, replanted digits showed average of 53% (9 - 100 %) compare to opposit normal digits. As it measure relative blood flow for circulatory failure of tissue such as fingers and toes more sensitively, reliably. In conclusion, it is expected that photo- plethysmography will be very useful for diagnosis, curative effect, prognosis of blood circulatory failure in digital replantation patient.

Cardiac arrest is owing to the failure of the heart that makes the blood circulation stop. Arrested blood circulation prevents the supply of the oxygen and the glucose and it results the loss of consciousness and, finally, brain death. Many public institution installed the AED for emergency treatment, but, it is not efficient when the patient is alone. In this paper, we made multiplexed wearable device for cardiac arrest detection. With this device, we measure the individual's electrocardiography, heart sound and motion. If the cardiac arrest is detected, the device make a warning horn and transmit the signal for defibrillation. We obtain 98.33% of ECG data, 94.5% of PCG data and 98.38% of IMU data accuracy for each evaluation and 93.33% accuracy for integrated evaluation.

This Chapter mentioned Terror and Palpitation due to Fright(驚悸) and Hemorrhagic disease(血證). Terror and Palpitation due to FrightAcctually Terror(驚) is different from Palpitation(悸). Terror(驚) is one of the seven emotions. But in this case, It refer to the Palpitation and the uneasiness of mind due to one's hearing a strange sound of seeing a strange. Tremulous Pulse can be appear. So Terror(驚) is caused by Exopathic Factors(外因) and belongs to Excess syndrome(實證). Palpitaion(悸) is the sensation of plamus, palpitation and unrest not because of being frightened. It is usurally caused by the deficiency of Ki(氣) and blood(血). So Deep, Thready and weak pulse can be appear. So Palpitaion(悸) is caused by Endopathic Factors and belongs to Deficiency Syndrome. In this Chapter, Terror and Palpitation due to Fright(驚悸) treat with the Kyeji-ke-jakyak-ka-chokchil-moryu-yongkol-kuyuk-tang(桂枝去芍藥加蜀漆牡蠣龍骨救逆湯) and Banha-mahwang-hwan(半夏麻黃丸). There are two type in Hemorrhagic disease(血證). One is bleeding(出血) and another is blood stasis(瘀血). The contents which relate with the Hemorrhagic disease(血證) are Hematemisis(吐血), Rhinorrhagia, Hemafecia(下血). In hemorrhage pathological mechanisms, there are two mechanisms. One is that Fire and Heat(火熱) pressure blood. Another is that cold and deficiency(虛寒) disable Ki(氣) from keeping blood flowing within vessels. Blood stasis(瘀血) can be called Extravasated Blood(惡血), Coagulated Blood, Blood retention(蓄血,積血), Dead Blood(死血) and Emaciation due to Blood disorder(乾血). It refer to a morbid state of unsmooth circulation and blood stagnancy often resulting from Ki(氣) stagnation, Ki(氣) deficiency and accumulation of pathogenic coldness. The symptom of Blood stasis are 'Fullness sensation in the chest, Lip Flaccidity, Cyonotic Tongue and Dryness of Mouth'. And the man who have Blood stasis, want to rinse his mouth with the water, but he can't drink the water because there isn't interior Heat of Excess Type. The symptom of Cyonotic Tongue(舌靑) had influence on diagnosing Blood stasis(瘀血) in offspring.

Objectives : Literatures related to Bianque are studied to discover the path of development and the impact of Bianque school's pulse diagnosis system. Methods : Texts regarding Bianque were searched in history books such as Shiji and Zhanguoce, and medical texts such as the medical books of Mawangdui Han Tomb, Huangdineijng, Maijing, and Qianjinyifang to understand how the Bianque school's pulse diagnosis system was developed. Results : 1. Bianque school's pulse diagnosis system was used to inspect the distribution pattern of blood vessels and discover the location of the disease including the palpatation realm such as only hard or only fall. 2. The system of inspection was created when the diagnosis method that uses the color of the pulse by using the color of blood vessels was added to the diagnostic method of pulse condition. 3. Adding the concept of pulse to the visual information that derives from pulse condition becomes pulsation. This is a diagnostic method that falls under the realm of palpation, and it was used to discover the location of disease. 4. The qi of pulse is motor that induces pulse, and this concept is used in order to understand how normal and abnormal pulsations appear, and to treat the circulation disorder of qi and blood. 5. Cubit skin examination is a method that comprehensively take into account the upper arm skin's cold and heat, slippery and roughness, and relax and tension state. This method was used together with other diagnostic methods. As described above, it seems that the diagnostic method with blood vessels used by Bianque school seems to have developed from Bianque's special inspection ability to the stage where it uses palpation, and then to the stage of cubit skin examination which uses both palpation and inspection.

According to the result about 'San Jiao(三焦)'recorded on "Yellow Empero's Canon Internal Medicine Ling Shu(黃帝內經 靈樞)", we achieved following results. 1. As we consider the concept of 'San Jiao' recorded on "Ling Shu", in early time, it was related to bladder(膀胱) and there was no divided concept into 'Shang Jiao(上焦)', 'Zhong Jiao(中焦)' and 'Xia Jiao(下焦)'. Later, there was appearance of body metabolism concept in anatomic way and started to emphasize that stomach(胃) is the very beginning of digestion. This point then adjusted into the concept which the core theory of digestion and water metabolism begins with 'Zhong Jiao' and processes to 'Shang Jiao' and 'Xia Jiao' then it established the 'San Jiao' theory adjusted to the functional change than property change. Later as there is set theoretical structure of 'three Yin and three Yang(三陰三陽)', it included the concept of 'San Jiao' onto meridian system theory to complete as a theory. Finally, it completed the theoretical structure that 'San Jiao' runs water metabolism of circulation, body fluid and urine for body to produce blood and Qi to protect and provide nutrition to the human body. 2. From the point of each part, 'San Jiao' means all body composition factor related to the relation to the digestion and water metabolism to produce Qi and blood. Also, the details of entire function of 'San Jiao' tells that 'Zhong Jiao' intakes food and divides the clarity and turbidity of digested substances. The origin of this digestion and water metabolism lies at Xia Jiao. The clean substance including the mood and taste climbs via Shang Jiao. The vapor like substance climbed to Shang Jiao becomes 'defensive Qi(衛氣)' and controls body temperature and sweat by supporting and spreading the Qi by Shang Jiao. The liquid substance climbed to Shang Jiao becomes blood. The blood has stronger character as substance than defensive Qi so Zhong Jiao becomes the base and the way for the blood. The turbid Qi separated at Zhong Jiao passes large intestine and the solid substance is excreted and the liquid is absorbed into bladder. The Xia Jiao that controls this process controls the liquid state of water matabolism so control the urine with bladder. Therefore, 'San Jiao' can be understood as a general concept that controls entire water metabolism as a way of food, Qi and blood.

Interruption or prolonged reduction and subsequent restoration of blood flow into the kidney triggers the generation of a burst of reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to injury in the tubular epithelial cells. In this study, we determined whether methanol extract of goat's-beard (Aruncus dioicus) (extract) could prevent this ischemia/reperfusion injury. When in vitro radical scavenging activity of the extract was measured using a DPPH radical quenching assay, the extract displayed slightly lower activity than ascorbic acid. One hour after administration of the extract (400 mg/kg) by intraperitoneal injection in rats, renal ischemia/reperfusion injury was generated by clamping the left renal artery for forty minutes, followed by 24 hr restoration of blood circulation. Prior to clamping the left renal artery, the right renal artery was removed. Compared with the vehicle-treated group, pretreatment with the extract significantly reduced the tubular epithelial cell injury by 37% in the outer medulla region, and consequently reduced serum creatinine concentration by 39%. Reduction in the cell injury was mediated by attenuation of Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, inhibition of caspase-3 activation from procaspase-3, and subsequent reduction in the number of apoptotic cells. Thus, goat's-beard (Aruncus dioicus) might be developed as a prophylactic agent to prevent acute kidney injury.

In this study, we investigated the improvement effect of obesity by treatment with a developed low frequency electrical stimulation system. Thirty female in their 20's as an experiment subjects divided 3 groups(control, commercialized device, developed device) were treated with electrical stimulation on abdomen for 4 weeks. The body weight, body mass index(BMI), waist-hip ratio(WHR), muscle strength, muscle(transverse abdominis(TrA), internal obliquus abdominis(IO), external obliquus abdominis(EO)), fat thickness and abdominal surface temperature were measured by electromyogram(EMG), ultrasound and digital infrared thermal image(DITI). In the result, the body weight and BMI were decreased. Subcutaneous abdominal fat were significantly reduced after 4 weeks. The muscle strength and TrA muscle thickness was increased 13.2%(p<0.05), and 35.5%, respectively. The fat thickness showed decrease in abdomen (p<0.05). Infrared measurement on abdominal surface temperature as a parameter of improvement in blood circulation was significantly increased(p<0.05). Therefore, the low frequency stimulation showed positive effects on parameters of the obesity improvement.
