한국농업전문학교 설립운영 현황과 발전과제 (Present Status and Development Projects of Korea National Agricultural College)

  • The Korea National Agricultural College (KNAC) was established as a special three academic years(six semesters) course by the Presidential Act in July 1995 and opened on March 20, 1997. According to the Act, the students of KNAC are granted free boarding in dormitory, full support of educational expenses, and, after completion, exception in military service and financial support for farming, which is their obligation to do for a double period of the total school year. With these institutional favors KNAC is hight expected to bring up promising young farm managers in Korea. However, actual competitive young farm managers are brought up by the well organized education with emphasis on learning by doing approach. With the relation to the education this study was performed to review and examine present situation of faculty organization, facilities and equipments, curriculum including field training in home land and oversea's counties. This study found out that there were undesirable aspects such as unbalanced faculty members among the departments, lack of practice farm land and limited budget in field training, which should be improved to achieve the objectives of KNAC.

현장교수의 역할증진 방안 (A Device to Enhance of the Field Professor's Roles in the KNAC's Field Exercise Course.)

  • This study was carried out to prepare some devices for the development the field professor's roll of the Korea National Agricultural College(KNAC). In this study, we had visited and interviewed twenty-four KNAC's field professors. Through this our experience of study, we could suggest several development devices of the roles of KNAC's field professor, so the results of this study as follows : (1) Main roles of the field professors could be classified into 4 categories, with these desirable aspects could be deducted. (2) Selecting the good field professors is an important work, so that we prepared a comprehensive checking list to be used to select the desirable field professor. (3) In order to enhance the selected field professor's roles and activities, workshop for the professors, orientation training for the students and various supporting activities should be well organized with recognizing those as the important factors.

원활한 농장승계와 합리적 농장경영을 위한 교육·훈련과정 개발연구 (The Study on development of Education and Training for smooth succession and rational farm management of family farm)

  • This study is to find the causes of the current situations of conflict between generations in regards to succession of their family farm, for the target group of graduates Korea National Agricultural College of the year 2008 and their parents. This study aims at finding a way of controlling and solving the conflicts, and of developing a course of education and training, so that through this process they can come to a rational conclusion to the conflicts that arise regarding succession of the farm, in a climate of harmony and peace. It is found that communication between parents and graduates has normally gone on well, but specific problems related to management of the farm are often present. Furthermore, there is often lack of trust and promise between the parties which often causes difficulties in preparation for the succession of the farm. On the basis of these observation, we have designed and implemented an education workshop and training, as a program in which parents and their successors participated. As a result, we found it to be very effective, but it was also found to be in need of some changes. The workshop is to be implemented in two separate stages. The first stage should focus on communication and trust between family members. Firstly, they are given the opportunity to share the list of concerns withone another, as an ice breaking activity. Secondly, they can present their own hopes or wishes. And lastly, they can communicate with one another in an effort to find resolutions that will be keep both parties satisfied. The second stage should be aimed at establishing agreements concerning succession of the farm in a harmonious and peaceful manor; the second stage is also an opportunity to discuss 'Farm management and succession'. The Korea National Agricultural College (KNAC) is in the pursuit of fostering agricultural CEO's for the future of Korea. KNAC is currently implementing a very unique system of interviews in which parents participate together with students, in order to help them make a plan for rational management of their farm and smooth succession of the farm. Although KNAC now has students present a blueprint of their own unique business plans as a graduation thesis, it is necessary for KNAC to complement this system with education and training regarding the succession of family farms. Furthermore, KNAC should also develop an education and training program that is separate for this purpose, and make it a regular course of study of KNAC in the future.

베트남 호치민에서의 셀레늄상황과 셀레늄영지 버섯의 시범재배 과정과 성과분석 (An Analysis of the Demonstrational Cultivation Process and Effect of Selenium Supplemented Phellinus. linteus and Ganoderma. lucidum)

  • This study was carried to analyze the demonstrational cultivation process of selenium supplemented P. linteus and G. lucidum from 2005 to 2006 and ifs effect at Hochimin Agricultural Technology College(HATC) in Vietnam, according to the mutual contract between the Yunjung-nongwon, a fanning company in Korea and HATC. As a result of the demonstrational cultivation of selenium supplemented P. linteus and G. lucidum, the external aspect, such as size, thickness and color of the P. linteus and G. lucidum were very much high qualified comparing to the same strain P. linteus and G. lucidum generally cultivated in Korea. The major contribution factors to this high qualified mushroom product could be drawn as followings; keeping growing condition of the mushroom with precise data collection of Vietnam climate and weather, involvement of the various professors of Korea National Agricultural College(KNAC), maintenance of bio-technical security through the strain cultivation on the oak log in Korea, the Yunjung-nongwon manager's endeavor being consulted by the various professors of KNAC even to be a student of the agricultural chief executive officer(CEO) training course in KNAC and the HATC's constant cooperation to the mushroom demonstrational cultivation instead of the orchid which was originally contracted item.

전공심화과정 개설을 위한 설문조사연구 (Analysis of Questionary Survey Research on the Intensive Major Course in the KNAC)

  • This research was conducted to suggest a policy plan for intensive major course in recurrent education system of KNAC. A survey was answered by students, graduates, field professors and (full-time) professors. The results are summarized as follows; 1. In the item of educational operation system, there were some differences in preference among 4 examinee groups. Students preferred 'semester system', graduates and field professors did 'once per week system', and professors 'cyber+centralized training system'. 2. As entering time, students and graduates preferred 'immediately after graduation'. However, field and full-time professors preferred '1 to 3 years after graduation' that became reality. 3. As board and lodging, all examinee groups wanted 'dormitory in college'. Students and graduates were open to pay educational expenses as a level of national colleges. 4. As a curriculum, the most preferred subject by all groups was 'major field technique', which was followed by 'marketing/sale' and 'farm management' in the order of preference.

한국농업전문학교 졸업생 창업농자금 지원상의 문제점 및 대책 (The Issues and Counter-measures of the Loan for the KNAC Graduates' initial stage of Farm Business)

  • It is our imminent project that we should train young and able manpower to strengthen the international competitiveness under the free trade of agricultural products, to solve the problem of decrease in farm population and of aging people in agriculture. The objective of this research is to suggest an alternative policy plan through the survey and analysis on the controversial issues in loans for starting agricultural business based on the survey of graduates of Korea National Agricultural College from 2002 to 2005. According to the survey, in case of graduates who are not available sufficient fanning capital such as land and agricultural facilities on it, they are not able to get loans from banks in that situation. The survey, as a result, points out that those who are legally required to do farming should be given several special aids by the government such as the improvement of Credit Guarantee Fund System for Farmers and Fishermen and the farming loans conditions for initial farm business, a long term lease of public land, giving a priority in lease-farmland project of farmland bank and allowing loan for working capital for farm management.

노랑느타리벗섯(Pleurotus cornucopiae)의 우수균주 선발 및 최적 균사배양 (Excellent strain selection and optimal mycelial growth condition of Pleurotus cornucopiae)

  • 노랑느타리버섯의 인공재배를 위한 우량균주 선발 및 균사배양적 특성을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 노랑느타리버섯균의 적정배지는 MCM에서 87.8mm/10일로 균사생장과 균사밀도가 가장 좋았으며, 그 다음은 PDA, YM, MEA, Czapek 순이었다. 2) 노랑느타리버섯의 균사생장과 밀도에 가장 적정한 온도는 $25^{\circ}C$이었으며 $5^{\circ}C$에서는 균사가 사멸하였다. KNAC2003 균주는 $25^{\circ}C$에서 87.8mm/10일로 균사생장과 밀도가 가장 양호하였으며, 온도별로는 25, 30, 20, 35, 10, $5^{\circ}C$ 순으로 균사생장 속도와 밀도가 좋았다. 3) 노랑느타리버섯의 균사생장과 밀도에 가장 적정한 산도(pH)는 6.0에서 88.3mm/10일이며 이보다 높거나 낮으면 균사생장과 밀도에 저해를 받는다.
