클러스터 시스템의 노드 수가 수백에서 수천노드와 같이 대규모라면 시스템 관리에 많은 수고가 필요하다. 특히 노드 수가 많으므로 발생하는 빈번한 장애에 대하여 체계적인 장애관리가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 대규모의 클러스터 시스템 환경에서 노드에 장애가 발생하는 시점부터 복구까지 체계적인 장애관리를 위하여 장애관리시스템(Trouble Management System, TMS)을 설계하고 구현하였다. 본 시스템으로 장애를 체계적으로 관리하여 효율적인 클러스터 시스템 관리에 도움이 될 것이다.

계산과학 데이터를 공유하는 목적은 데이터의 분석을 통해 의미 있는 정보를 추출하기 위해서이다. 이를 위해서는 계산과학 데이터의 전처리 과정이 요구되며, 핵심 이슈는 계산과학 데이터의 다양성과 복잡성의 해결이다. 본 논문은 계산과학 데이터 저장소의 구축 과정에서 고려하였던 계산과학 데이터의 전처리에 대한 설계 이슈들과 해결 방안들에 대해 설명한다.

This study aimed to develop an evaluation framework for public portal and private portal through user's perception survey. In order to specify the evaluation framework, this study chose yesKISTI and Google as a public portal and a private portal respectively. This study reviewed previous studies to develop indicators to evaluate of public and private portals and developed a framework to provide new services for public portals.

우리 사회의 고령화가 지속됨에 따라 퇴행성 척추 질환 및 관련 수술이 큰 폭으로 증가되고 있다. 척추 질환은 일상생활을 불가능하게 하며, 경제활동을 어렵게 하여 결과적으로는 삶의 질을 훼손시킨다. 따라서 고령화 사회를 대비하기 위해, 노령 척추 질환에 대한 적절한 진단과 치료, 재활에 도움을 줄 수 있는 가상 척추의 개발이 절실히 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 가상 척추의 기반이 될 노령 척추 데이터베이스를 설계하고 이를 관리하는 체제를 소개한다.

한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI)은 국내 과학기술자의 연구를 돕기 위해 국내외의 여러 기관으로부터 정기적, 또는 비정기적으로 발간되는 학술지, 연구보고서, 특허 및 각종 동향, 분석 정보를 수집하여 서비스하고 있다. 국내에서 생산되는 정보는 그 발생양이 방대하지 않고 일정 수준 이상의 서지정보를 담고 있으며 원문정보까지 제공이 가능하기 때문에 정보의 질이 비교적 높은 편이나, 해외에서 수집되는 학술 정보는 데이터 처리량이 방대하기 때문에 처리시간이 오래 걸릴 뿐만 아니라, 기본적인 서지 정보만을 담고 있어 원문 서비스나 초록 및 주제 분류 등의 부가적인 서비스를 위해서는 추가적인 데이터 가공이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 데이터 처리 속도와 이용자 중심의 해외학술정보의 원문 및 부가 서비스 제공 등을 고려한 데이터 가공 방법에 대해 연구한다.

근래 들어 생명과학 및 생명정보에 대한 관심이 높아지면서, 활발한 연구 활동의 결과물로 많은 정보를 얻을 수 있게 되었다. 방대한 생명정보를 분석할 수 있는 많은 알고리즘이 개발되었으며, 웹 기술이 발달함에 따라 생명정보의 활용도가 높아져서 다양한 방법으로 정보 서비스가 가능하게 되었다. Web Services는 XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI를 사용하는 분산 컴포넌트 기반의 컴퓨팅 기술로 서비스를 제공하는 Service Provider와 서비스 제공자의 정보를 저장하는 Service Registry 및 서비스를 사용하는 Service Requestor로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 바이오인포매틱스 분야에서 Web Services를 구성하는 모든 요소들을 개발한다. 특히 One-Stop Web Services는 GUI 환경의 인터페이스로 사용자에게는 용이한 실행 환경을 제공하고 있으며, Web Services 개발자에게는 사용자 인터페이스 개발 부담을 줄일 수 있다.

With the emergence of a new paradigm called Open Science and Big Data, the need for data sharing and collaboration is also emerging in the computational science field. This paper, we analyzed data-driven research cases for computational science by field; material design, bioinformatics, high energy physics. We also studied the characteristics of the computational science data and the data management issues. To manage computational science data effectively it is required to have data quality management, increased data reliability, flexibility to support a variety of data types, and tools for analysis and linkage to the computing infrastructure. In addition, we analyzed trends of platform technology for efficient sharing and management of computational science data. The main contribution of this paper is to review the various computational science data repositories and related platform technologies to analyze the characteristics of computational science data and the problems of data management, and to present design considerations for building a future computational science data platform.

This paper investigates the present state of organization and services of digital conference materials with the KISTI's collections. The results can be used in construction of collection development policy and information organization and services via local library automation systems.
