  • 연소시설, 소각시설 등에서 배출되는 아황산가스, 질소산화물, 염화수소, 불화수소 등의 산성가스를 경제적, 효율적으로 처리하는데 많은 관심의 대상이 되고 있는 건식 세정에는 석회석(CaCO$_3$, limestone), 생석회(CaO, lime), 소석회(Ca(OH)$_2$, hydrated lime) 등 calcium을 다량 함유하는 흡수제가 매우 효과적이라고 알려져 있다. 따라서 이러한 흡수제와 SO$_2$dml 화학반응에 관하여 많은 연구가 수행되어 왔으나, 대부분의 연구는 SO$_2$와 석회석이 고온에서 진행되는 화학반응에서 관한 것이다.(중략)

  • The kinetics of the solvolysis of benzyl and p-or m-substituted benzyl bromides in various alcohols have been determined by an electric conductivity method. From these reactions, a curved Hammett plot is obtained and a mechanism is proposed to account for the nonlinear behavior observed. In addition, effects of solvent polarity on the activation parameters for the solvolysis of benzyl bromides are discussed.

  • While the equilibrium behaviour of surfactant solution is well studied, the understanding of the kinetics and pathways of structural transition under nonequilibrium conditions is only begining to develop. Attention has recently been directed mainly towards micellar kinectics, transitions between micellar and lamellar phases, vesicle fusion, and phases separation in microemulsions. This progress has profited greatly from developments that have taken place in various techniques and instruments.

  • The kinetics of volatilization of phosphorous oxide from phosphosilicate glassceramic powders prepared by a sol-gel process were investigated at a given temperature. The rate of P2O5 vaporization increased with the P2O5 concentration in the phosphosilicate powder. Vaporization from the powder containing 46% P2O5 was analyzed using a kinetic model for diffusion limited evaporation. The diffusion through phosphosilicate glass in the surface of each particle in the temperature range 800~85$0^{\circ}C$ are presented.

  • It is known that powder characteristics including particle size and distribution, particle shape, and chemical composition are important parameters which influence direct laser sintering of metal powders. In this paper, we introduce a first order kinetics model for densification of steel powders during laser sintering. A densification coefficient (K) is defined which express the potential of different powders to be laser-sintered to a high density dependent on their particle characteristics.

Kinetics of Cl Atom Reactions. Anomaluous Fluorescence Behavior of Some Cl Atomic Transitions

  • During the study of the kinetics of Cl atom reactions by atomic fluorescence method we observed anomalous fluorescence emission for some atomic transitions. Instead of usual decrease of the fluorescence intensity by adding substrate, 1363 A transition $(^2P^{\circ}_{3/2}{\to}^2P_{1/2})$ intensity increased by adding substrate. From the normally behaved fluorescence lines the absolute rate constant for the reaction, Cl + $CH_3Cl{\to}$, was found to be $4.2{\times}10^{-13}$ cc/molecule sec at $20^{\circ}C$.

  • The kinetics and mechanism of the reactions of phenyl benzoates with benzylamines and pyrrolidine are investigated in acetonitrile. The variations of ρX (ρXY>0) and ρZ (ρYZ<0) with respect to the substituent in the substrate (σY) indicate that the reactions proceed through a tetrahedral intermediate, T±, with its breakdown in the rate determining step. The large magnitudes of ρZ, ρXY and ρYZ as well as the effects of secondary kinetic isotope effects involving deuterated nucleophiles are also in line with the proposed mechanism.

The Growth Kinetics of Tin Oxide Films from Tetramethyltin

  • Tin oxide films have been grown employing the chemical vapor deposition technique under reduced pressure conditions using tetramethyltin as the precursor and oxygen as the oxidant. An activation energy derived for the deposition reaction under representative deposition conditions has a value of 89±3 kJ mol-1, suggesting a typical kinetic control. Deposition rates of tin oxide films exhibit a near first order dependence on tetramethyltin partial pressure and a zeroth order dependence on oxygen partial pressure. This study provides the first quantitative information about the growth kinetics of tin oxide films from tetramethyltin by the cold-wall low-pressure chemical vapor deposition.
