Survey on the Application of Standards and Specifications in Munitions Companies (I) (군수업체에서의 표준.규격 활용실태 조사 연구 (I))

  • Based on the survey for munitions companies, we have tried to find current state of the application of Korean military specifications(KDS) and their references for munition products, and how they can be improved for a better management system. On average, Korean munitions companies have 660 of KS, 18 of U.S. military specifications, and 5 of foreign standards, and annually spend about 0.4 million won for KS, but 1.3 million won for foreign standards. In addition, they have emphasized the necessity of the integrated management system for KDS and the related drawings.

Experimental Analysis of Anchorage Zone Design for Unbonded Post-Tensioned Concrete Beam With 2400MPa Single Tendons (2400MPa 단일 강연선이 적용된 포스트텐션 정착 구역 설계에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, the design of anchorage zone for unbonded post-tensioned concrete beam with single tendons of ultimate strength 2400MPa was evaluated to verify that the KDS 14 20 60(2016) and KHBDC 2010 codes are applicable. The experimental results showed that the bursting force equation of current design codes underestimated bursting stress measured by test, because the KDS 14 20 60(2016) and KHBDC 2010 propose the location of the maximum bursting force 0.5h which is the half of the height of member regardless of stress contribution. Although the allowable bearing force calculated by current design codes was not satisfied the prestressing force, the cracks and failure in anchorage zone was not observed due to the strengthening effect of anchorage zone reinforcement.

A Study on Performance Characteristics in Diesel Engine When Applied Ball Bearing Type Turbocharger (볼 베어링 터보차져를 적용시 디젤엔진 성능 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Turbocharger in the application to a diesel engine was widely used in automobile industries for the improvement of engine performance. To comply with stringent emission standards, ball bearing turbocharger has been developed by applying new emission reduction technology. Up to date turbocharger has been proved as an essential part of diesel engines by demonstrating its improved engine performance, fuel efficiency and reduced emission as well. In this research, the performance of the ball bearing turbocharger was compared by the conventional journal bearing type turbocharger. The results shows that ball baring turbocharger was proved to be 10~13% higher fuel efficiency and 30% less average emission than journal bearing turbocharger.
