녹화중 유채자엽의 색소체 발달에 미치는 Benzyladenine의 효과 (Effect of Benzyladenine on Plastid Development of Rape Cotyledons during Greening)

  • Developmental changes of chlorophyll-protein (CP)-complex and plastid membrane proteins during the greening of rape (Brassica napus L.) cotyledons were examined in order to investigate the effect of benzymladenine (BA) on plastid development. The formation of CP-complexes was slightly promoted by BA treatment in early greening stage, at 24 h and 48 h after illumination. However, BA inhibited the development of CP-complexes at 72 h after illumination. On the profiles of plastid membrane proteins with greening time, it was found that the 24 kd protein was increased and the 56 kd protein was decreased in both water control and BA-treated cotyledons. However, the above two traits were retarded under BA treatment, respectively. From the obtained result, plastid development of rape cotyledon during greening was partially affected by interaction between light and BA dependent on its physiological age.

  • The central beam characteristics of 6 MV X-ray from a Mevatron KD linear Accelerator are examin-depths The PDD (Percent Depth Dose) values and the TMR (Tissue Maximum Ratio) values are evaluated from measurement as a function of the depths and the field sizes. The calculated TMR values from the PDD are compared to those from measurement. The average differences between calculated TMR and measured one are within $1\%$ and we have concluded that calculated TMR values are acceptable for practical use.

  • A binding protein of radio-labeled sanjoinine-A (fangufoline) in rat brain cytoplasm was investigated, using an equilibrium dialysis technique. The labeled agent was bound to the cytosol fraction with two distinctly different types of sets in calclum ion-dependent manner. The bound protein was identified as calmodulin by dgel filtration of the sanjoinine-A bound cytosol fraction on a Sephadex G-75 column. Calmodulin was bound to sanjoinine-A bound at two sets of binding sites in the calculated as two at high affinity sites $(Kd=1.1\;mu{M)}$ and four at low affinity sites $(Kd=3.1\;\mu{M)}$.

들깨잎 polyphenol oxidase의 세포내 분포 및 특성 (Subcellular Distribution and Characteristics of Polyphenol Oxidase from Perilla frutescens Leaves)

  • Polyphenol oxidase (PPO) activity in 200×g (cell wall), 4,000×g (plastid), 100,000×g (mitochondrial) and soluble fractions of the perilla leaves was monitored in the upper, middle and lower sections of the plant. In the course of plant growth, PPO activities in plastid and mitochondrial fractions were decreased, while those in cell wall fraction were maintained. During growing process, specific activities and PPO activities of each fraction were decreased, while total phenol content were decreased in middle (middle) and then increased in later stage (lower). Cell wall, plastid, mitochondrial (pellet) and soluble fraction had slightly different pH optima and substrate specificities. Isoenzyme patterns were identical in two bands for PPO activity in different subcellular fractions. Their molecular weights were 37KD and 48KD respectively.

유동층반응기에서 폐제지슬러지와 석회석의 탈황 동역학 (Desulfurization kinetics of waste paper-sludge and limestone in a fluidized bed reactor)

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the desulfurization kinetics of paper sludge and limestone in a fluidized bed reactor according to bed temperature and air velocity. The experimental results were presented as follows ; First, the bed temperature had a great influence on the desulfurization efficiency of limestone and paper sludge. In paper sludge, the optimum condition in desulfurization temperature was at 80$0^{\circ}C$ and in limestone, that was at 850 $^{\circ}C$ or 900 $^{\circ}C$ Second, as air velocity increased, the desulfurization efficiency(or the absorbed amount of sulfur dioxide) by limestone and paper sludge decreased. And the absorbed amount of sulfur dioxide by paper sludge was larger than that of by limestone. Third, as the velocity increased and the optimum desulfurization temperature became, ks and the removal efficiency increased. So, ks, kd highly depended on the air velocity and bed temperature.

  • 저자들은 가와사키병 급성기에 치료에 반응하지 않은 저혈압(수축기 혈압 59 mmHg와 이완기 혈압 29 mmHg)과 수축기 심실 기능 부전(단축분획 22%)이 있던 7세 남아를 치료한 경험을 보고한다. 이 증례를 통해 가와사키병 급성기에 동반될 수 있는 유증상 심근염은 면역 글로블린 치료로 증상이 호전되지 않는 경우 스테로이드 펄스 요법이 필요함을 알 수 있다.

메타 테이블을 이용한 효율적인 레이트레이싱 알고리즘 (An Effective Ray Tracing Algorithm Using a Meta Table)

  • 본 논문에서는 메타 테이블(meta table)을 이용한 광선(ray)과 삼각형(triangle)들의 교차검사를 할 수 있는 효율적인 레이트레이싱 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 kd-tree 탐색은 깊이 우선 탐색을 하면서 이미 방문했던 노드들을 방문하지 않기 위해서 스택을 이용하는 방법을 택하고 있는데, 본 논문에서 제안하는 알고리즘은 스택을 사용하지 않고 읽기 전용으로만 쓰이는 메타 테이블을 둠으로써 기존의 트리 탐색 과정보다 효율적으로 트리의 리프 노드들에 접근할 수 있도록 하였다. 실험결과 제안된 레이트레이싱 알고리즘이 기존의 kd-tree의 트리 탐색보다 노드 방문을 5배 이상 적게 하였고, 이미지 렌더링 시간도 총 2배 정도 향상됨을 볼 수 있었다.

이담자효모 Rhodosporidium toruloides의 막단백질 인산화와 성 Pheromone, Rhodotorucine A의 작용 (Effect of Sexual Pheromone on Phosphoryation of Membrane Protein in Heterobasidiomycetous Yeast Rhodosporidium toruloides)

  • When the membrane protein fraction of mating type a cells of heterobasidiomycetous yeast R. toruloides was phosphorylated in vitro, two phosphorylated proteins of 72Kd and 57Kd were detected on SDS-polyacryamide gel. The phosphorylation reaction was inhibited by rhodotorucine A(Rh. A) which is a sexual pheromone secreted by mating type A cells. The inhibition of phosphorylation by Rh. A was dependent on $Ca^{2+}$, and independent on $Mg^{2+}$ or calmodulin. When adding trigger peptidase(TPase) inhibitor, antipain, no inhibition of phosphory was observed. Also, by adding the trysin-digested product of Rh. A, the phosphorylation was inhibited as the action of Rh. A. From these results, it is expected that the inhibition of membrane protein phosphorylation should be caused by the digested product of Rh. A with TPase.

NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF THE NONLINEAR KORTEWEG-DE VRIES EQUATION BY USING CHEBYSHEV WAVELET COLLOCATION METHOD

  • In this study, a numerical method deals with the Chebyshev wavelet collocation and Adomian decomposition methods are proposed for solving Korteweg-de Vries equation. Integration of the Chebyshev wavelets operational matrices is derived. This problem is reduced to a system of non-linear algebraic equations by using their operational matrix. Thus, it becomes easier to solve KdV problem. The error estimation for the Chebyshev wavelet collocation method and ADM is investigated. The proposed method's validity and accuracy are demonstrated by numerical results. When the exact and approximate solutions are compared, for non-linear or linear partial differential equations, the Chebyshev wavelet collocation method is shown to be acceptable, efficient and accurate.

Carcinogen (3-methyl-4-dimethyl-aminoazo benzene) 처리후 간세포막에서의 Transferrin Receptor 변동에 관한 연구 (Transferrin Receptors in the Liver Cell Membrane of Carcinogen (3-methyl-4-dimethyl-arninoazobenzene) Treated Rat)

  • 화학물질에 의한 간암 유발과정에서 transferrin receptor (TfR)의 변동을 밝히기 위해 간을 부분절제한 정상백서의 재생간과 발암물질로 3-Me-DAB를 8주간 투여한 백서 또는 약물 투여 후 부분 간절제 수술을 행하여 세포분열을 유도시킨 백서 간조직으로부터 parenchymal cell (PC)과 nonparenchymal cell (NPC)를 분리하고 각각의 세포막을 제조하여 $^{125}I-transferrin$ 결합실험을 실시한 바 다음과 같은 성적을 얻었다. 1. 3-Me-DAB 투여에 의하여 간조직에서 oval cell의 증식, 재생성 변화, 결절형성, 담관의 증식 및 담관세포암 등의 현저한 조직학적 변화가 동반되었다. 그러나 간세포증식을 더욱 촉진시키기 위하여 부분간절제 수술을 하였을 때 수술 후 경과에 따른 형태학적 변동은 큰 차이가 없었다. 2. 정상 재생간의 PC 및 NPC homogenate에서 transferrin 결합량은 부분간 절제 수술 후 1일 및 3일에 증가되었으며 수술 후 7일에 정상으로 회복되었다. 3-Me-DAB 투여에 의해 두세포군에서 모두 정상세포보다 높게 나타났으며 재생기간에 따라 계속 증가되었다. 3. 정상간의 NPC 세포막에서 transferrin 최대 결합량 (Bmax)은 PC 세포막에서 보다 많이 분포되어 있었으며, Kd는 양세포막에서 5.05 또는 6.3nM로 비슷하였다. 4. 재생간의 NPC 및 PC 세포막에서 transferrin 결합량은 부분 간절제 수술 후 1일 및 3일에 $40{\sim}50%$ 증가되었고 수술 후 7일에 정상치로 회복되었다. 5. 3-Me-DAB 처치에 의하여 NPC 및 PC 세포막의 transferrin 결합량은 정상 간세포막에서 보다 약 3배 증가되었고, 3-Me-DAB 투여후 재생간의 NPC 세포막에서는 부분 간절제 수술 후 3일까지 증가된 후 감소되는 양상인데 반해 PC 세포막에서는 수술 후 7일까지 계속 증가되었다. 6. 3-Me-DAB 투여 후 NPC 및 PC 세포막 transferrin binding site에서 Kd치가 $3.1{\sim}4.1\;nM$$25.4{\sim}54.1\;nM$인 두 종류가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 실험성적으로 TfR는 1) 간조직의 PC 및 NPC 세포에 모두 분포되어 있으며, 2) 정상 재생간 및 3-Me-DAB의 처리 후 간세포에서의 세포막 TfR의 증가는 세포내 합성량의 증가에 의하여 일어나며, 3) 정상 재생간의 세포막 TfR는 한 종류의 high affinity site $(Kd,\;<3.1{\sim}7.5\;nM)$에 의하여 증가되나, 3-Me-DAB 처리 후 간세포막에서는 정상에서와 같은 high affinity형 이외에 affinty가 낮은 다른 형태의 TfR $(Kd,\;25.4{\sim}54.1\;nM)$가 세포막으로 출현됨으로써 크게 증가되는 것으로 사료된다.
