Fabrication of K-PHI Zeolite Coated Alumina Hollow Fiber Membrane and Study on Removal Characteristics of Metal Ions in Lignin Wastewater

  • Recently, hybrid coal research is underway to upgrade low-grade coal. The hybrid coal is made by mixing low-grade coal with bioliquids such as molasses, sugar cane, and lignin. In the case of lignin used here, a large amount of lignin is included in the wastewater of the papermaking process, and thus, research on hybrid coal production using the same is attracting attention. However, since a large amount of metal ions are contained in the lignin wastewater from the papermaking process, substances that corrode the generator are generated during combustion, and the amount of fly ash is increased. To solve this problem, it is essential to remove metal ions in the lignin wastewater. In this study, metal ions were removed by ion exchange with a alumina hollow fiber membrane coated with K-Phillipsite (K-PHI) zeolite. The alumina hollow fiber membrane used as the support was prepared by the nonsolvent induced phase separation (NIPS) method, and K-PHI seeds were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. The prepared K-PHI seed was seeded on the surface of the support and coated by secondary growth hydrothermal synthesis. The characteristic of prepared coating membrane was analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDX), and the concentration of metal ions before and after ion exchange was measured by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES). The extraction amount of K+ is 86 mg/kg, and the extraction amount of Na+ is 54.9 mg/kg. Therefore, K-PHI zeolite membrane has the potential to remove potassium and sodium ions from the solution and can be used in acidic lignin wastewater.

Capacity and the moment-curvature relationship of high-strength concrete filled steel tube columns under eccentric loads

  • Recently, CFT column has been well-studied and reported on, because a CFT column has certain superior structural properties as well as good productivity, execution efficiency, and improved rigidity over existing columns. However, CFT column still has problems clearing the capacity evaluation between its steel tube member and high-strength concrete materials. Also, research on concrete has examined numerical values for high-strength concrete filled steel square tube columns (HCFT) to explain transformation performance (M-${\phi}$) when a short-column receives equal flexure-moment from axial stress. Moment-curvature formulas are proposed for HCFT columns based on analytic assumption described in this paper. This study investigated structural properties (capacity, curvature), through a series of experiments for HCFT with key parameters, such as strength of concrete mixed design (58.8 MPa), width-thickness ratio (D/t), buckling length to sectional width ratio (Lk/D) and concrete types (Zeolite, Fly-ash, Silica-fume) under eccentric loads. A comparative analysis executed for the AISC-LRFD, AIJ and Takanori Sato, etc. Design formulas to estimate the axial load (N)-moment (M)-curvature (${\phi}$) are proposed for HCFT columns based on tests results described in this paper.

큰느타리(Pleurotus eryngii)의 인공재배에 관한 연구 (Studies on Artificial Cultivation of Pleurotus eryngii (De Canolle ex Fries) Quel.)

  • 큰느타리버섯의 인공재배기술을 확립하기 위하여 균사 생장이나 자실체 생장에 필요한 영양원과 수분 및 산소를 공급하는 최적 배지, 수확량과 품질 및 경영 효율을 좌우하는 최적 재배용기, 적정한 배양기간, 그리고 최적의 발이방법 등을 검토하였다. 배지의 주재료로서 톱밥 단일배지보다 톱밥+콘코프의 혼합배지에서 배양기간은 다소 지연되었으나 수확량과 품질이 좋았다. 톱밥과 콘코프의 배합비는 75 : 25(v/v)가 가장 좋았다. 배지 주재료로서 비트펄프의 배합은 균사생장이 저하되고 수확량도 감소되어 바람직하지 않았다. 배지 제조시 영양제로 미강과 밀기울 그리고 면실박을 각각 12 : 12 : 6(v/v)으로 혼합하면 수확량이 가장 많아 효과적이었고, 밀기울과 면실박을 각각 15% 혼합한 처리구는 수확량이 가장 낮았다. 배지 첨가제인 제오라이트, 패분과 건비지의 첨가는 유의한 효과가 없었다. 큰느타리 병재배시 polypropylene(PP) 병의 병구 직경이 크면 발이수는 많으나 유효갯수는 유의하게 증가하지 않았다. PP병의 용량이 클수록 수확량과 품질이 양호하였고 용량 1100 ml-병구직경 ${\phi}75\;mm$가 가장 양호하였다. 큰느타리버섯의 봉지재배시 투명 사각봉지에서 균긁기하지 않는 전면(全面)발생재배는 PP병재배보다 재배면적당 수확량이 다소 높게 나타났다. 발이상태는 $24{\sim}42$일간의 배양기간에 따른 차이가 없었으나, 배양기간이 짧으면 갓 형성과 수확량이 불량하였다. 적정배양기간은 $22{\pm}2^{\circ}C$배양시 약 35일 정도이었다. 균긁기 후 무피복 정치, 피복 정치 및 도치법의 발이방법 중 도치법이 과습방지와 낙하균의 오염방지로 가장 양호하였다.
