Second, all consumers of the low and high clothing involvement and upper end advertising appeared to prefer the upper end advertising. It appeared that consumers of low advertising involvement prefer lower end advertising, and consumers of high advertising involvement prefer the upper end advertising at an advertising location according to clothing involvement. Accordingly, it is important that the search advertising exposes advertising in the upper end, and that should use an advertising phrase capable of giving trust to consumers. As the text advertising had high site attitude and clicking intention in the advertising forms, consumers should pay attention to the advertising phrase.

  • Subjects were 405 female college students and 505 was utilized for structural equation modeling. As results, hedonic shopping value had positive effects on impulse purohasing, variety seeking, and purchasing involvement. In contrast, interestingly, impulse purchasing did not show any significant effect on brand loyalty and purchasing involvement had rather a positive effect on brand loyalty. There was a Positive effect of hedonic shopping value on brand loyalty. This result indicates that people who get more involved in and enjoy clothing shopping are likely more brand loyal than others. This seems to come from the intrinsic characteristics of shopping. People who enjoy clothing shopping likely have high level of fashion or style concern, and this might lead higher levels of purchasing involvement and brand loyalty. Due to the symbolic characteristics of clothing, the brand loyalty of clothing seems to be more symbolic and emotive rather than utilitarian and cognitive.

Such changes have contributed to regarding online word-of-mouth (WOM) as one of the most important consumer information sources. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine online WOM effects (acceptance/redelivery intention) with the two-way interaction effects of fashion involvement and the market maven. The empirical study consisted of an offline survey that collected data from 341 respondents and analyzed the data by factor analysis, independent t-test, and two-way ANOVA with SPSS 20.0, producing the following results. First, the market maven effect was found to differ significantly based on the level of fashion involvement, and is also higher when fashion involvement is high. Second, fashion involvement primarily affected online WOM acceptance, while the market maven significantly affected redelivery intention. Moreover, fashion involvement and market maven had relevant two-way interaction with both of the online WOM effects. Third, market maven had measurable effects on WOM redelivery types (objective/subjective) and directions (positive/negative/ neutral), whereas fashion involvement did not have any primary effects on them. However, fashion involvement and market maven had two-way interaction effects on the positive and negative direction of WOM redelivery. Based on these findings, the study suggests the importance of investigating and understanding the complicated online WOM behaviors of consumers, specifically from both managerial and theoretical perspectives.

  • Consumers' perception of risk plays a major role in how they make online purchase decisions. Since online shopping is perceived to be riskier than in-store shopping, consumers engage in a variety of risk reduction strategies such as searching online for alternative products and alternative e-tailers. This study examines the influence of risk involvement on risk reduction strategies and customer satisfaction. It discusses three aspects of risk reduction strategies: time spent in making a purchasing decision, searching for alternative e-tailers, and searching for alternative products. Data from 294 female shoppers who had experience in purchasing fashion products online was analyzed. This study found that risk involvement had a positive influence on the time spent in making decisions, while the influence of risk involvement on searching for alternative retailers and alternative products was not significant. However, consumer satisfaction was negatively related to search for alternative retailers and positively related to risk involvement. This study provides a better understanding of customers' risk involvement and risk reduction strategies in online shopping.
