  • The Light Rail Transit (LRT) System which has medium transport capacity between subway and bus(5,000-25,000 persons per hour) is the most advanced transportation system. It has many benefits, cheap construction, operational costs through driverless and flexible route planning. Also, the rubber tired AGT (K-AGT) of various LRT has a rubber wheels and side guide. The side guide type has an many advantages. but occur a vibration and friction noise through contact between guide rail and wheel. Most of point that decreased comport is vibration thorough the guide contact. In this paper, It is purpose to improve the maximum running speed of rubber tired AGT localization bogie which is currently developed from 70km/h to 80km/h. To satisfy comport index of railway vehicle that is required in performance test. we examined coefficient of bogie suspension which is designed.

  • Light Rail Transit (LRT) System is an urban transit system which has approximately an intermediate transportation capacity between conventional subway and bus ($5,000{\sim}25,000$ persons per hour and per direction). It is a high-tech system which operational capacity, punctuality and mobility are remarkably improved. There are some types of LRT systems such as monorail, tramway, AGT(Automated Guideway Transit), and so on. The LRT systems have been applied and being operated in about a hundred lines around the world and many projects that apply the LRT systems in Korea are being proceeded and scheduled. For the efficient management, economical construction, and safe operation of various LRT systems, the establishment of national standard is necessary such as vehicle standardized specification, vehicle performance test standard, vehicle safety standard, construction guide, operation regulation, etc. of LRT systems. This paper presents the standard specification of electrical equipment of linear induction motor type light rail vehicle, that is LIM AGT(AGT system propelled with linear induction motor) vehicle. The LIM AGT system has been applied in Japan subway and ART(Advanced Rapid Transit) system of Canada and Yongin LRT is currently under construction.

  • Light Rail Vehicle(LRT) is "New Transit System" that has transportation capacity as well as physical size of vehicle is in-between bus and subway. The demand of LRT system is increasing rapidly; both domestically and internationally. Reason being is that it is more economical and eco-friendly compare to existing heavy rail vehicle. Especially, Busan Subway Line 4 K-AGT (Rubber-tired LRT) being the first of its kind to start revenue service in Korea, it is very much likely that application of its demand will continue to increase. Considering its trend, study to reduce implementation cost of LRT is being pursued in many different aspects; reducing construction cost is one that aspect. In this study, on-site application of 'Up-Down Turnout System' implementation research has been carried out which can replace existing 'Left-Right Turnout System'. When safety of its type gets verified, application of this system to line which intends to use K-AGT, Shin-Lim Line and Dong-Book Line, expects to save its construction cost. This thesis paper reports ongoing research of AGT 'Up-Down Turnout System' development and main component design factors, fundamental principle, performance test result.

The Relationship between Body Mass Index(BMI), Adipocyte Size and Leptin and Angiotensin II Secretion in Human Adipose Tissue

  • Adipose tissue has now been recognized as a rich source of metabolically active molecules that include leptin and angiotensinogen (AGT), the precursor of angiotensin II (Ang II). Both of which have been implicated in the pathogenesis of metabolic alteration and hypertension associated with obesity. In this study, we examined the relationship between body mass index (BMI), adipocyte size, leptin, Ang II secretion and mRNA expression in human adipose tissue obtained from female subjects. Leptin and Ang II were analyzed using specific radioimmunoassay kits following a 48hour tissue culture. Leptin and Ang II secretion varied from 1.4 - 72.1ng/g and 0.8 - 57.3pg/g of tissue respectively. These large individual variations limit significant correlation between BMI, leptin and Ang II secretion. Ang II secretion was significantly higher in the obese than the non-obese (p < 0.05) and positively correlated with BMI. However, no difference in leptin secretion between the obese and the non-obese was observed and leptin secretion showed negative correlation with BMI. No difference in leptin and AGT mRNA expression in adipose tissue between the obese and the non-obese was observed. Although several limitations of this study, we found increased Ang II secretion in obese patients compared with non-obese patients, and positive correlation between AGT and BMI. Observed difference in AGT expression between the obese and the non-obese in this study might be of importance in relation with obesity related hypertension.   • Light Rail Transit(LRT) Systems with transport capacity between subway and bus(5,000-25,000 persons per hour) are being carried on over 100 lines around the world, In Korea, to solve the urban transportation problem, the introduction of LRT system has been proceeded positively. It is planned to develop the Korean standard LRT system in which safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness are emphasized. So we were able to make proto type of Rubber tired AGT system for LRT. This is capable of driverless operation using CBTC(Communication Based Train Control) of Moving Block System and is currently making an experiment for reliability in test-line. This study is focused on verifving the performance of CBTC system for driverless and ATO mode through implementing the examination.

  • 주요 대중교통 수단에 있어서 승객의 서비스 질 향상을 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 국내외적으로는 UIC, ISO, KS등에서 규격으로 제시되고 있으며 이에 부합하기 위한 일련의 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 현재까지 국내에서는 무인 운전시스템이 없어 승차감 등은 운전자의 운전 조작의해 판단하였으나 무인 운전되는 고무차륜 AGT 경량전철 시스템을 개발함에 따라 ATO측면에서의 제어가 중요하게 부각되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고무차륜 AGT 경량전철 시스템에 최초로 CBTC 을 적용하여 무인운전의 과정을 기술하였다.

  • 전파 지연이 큰 무선 네트워크 환경에서 Time Division Multiple Access(TDMA) 기법은 충돌을 방지하기 위해서 가드 타임을 고려한 슬롯을 운용해야 한다. 이 때, 가드 타임의 길이는 시스템의 통신 반경을 고려한 최대 전파 지연으로 하는 것이 일반적이다. 그러나 실제 환경에서는 노드 간의 거리가 대부분 통신 반경보다 짧기 때문에, 가드 타임의 낭비가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 AGT-TDMA(TDMA with Adaptive Guard Time)을 제안하였다. AGT-TDMA는 노드 간의 거리에 따라 가드 타임을 유동적으로 조정함으로써 낭비되는 가드 타임을 최소화하였다. OPNET 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 AGT-TDMA가 기존 TDMA보다 처리량이 향상되었고, 지연 시간이 단축되었음을 확인하였다.

  • LRT System Application Project is performed for the purpose of technical advancement and stabilization of K-AGT system from the viewpoint of practical use and commercialization. For those purpose, the performance test and evaluation procedure for signaling system have been developed, including the scheme of verifying the performance and function of signaling system under driverless multiple train operation environment. In this paper, multiple train operation scheme in K-AGT test line is presented. Test schemes for maintaining the safety distance between trains, operation scenario considering shunting and turning of train, and dia operation schemes in test line are reviewed while researching test vehicle features, route condition and running pattern. Additional equipments for testing each scheme are also reviewed.
