치매간호중재 프로그램이 경중 치매노인의 Na, K, Ca, Cl, P, Cholesterol의 혈중 농도 및 17-KS, 17-OHCS의 뇨배설량에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Denentia prevention nursing program on Urinary 17-KS, 17-OHCS, and Blood Na, Cl, K, Ca, P, cholesterol of the Demented elderly women)

  • This study was conducted for the evaluation of the effect of Dementia prevention nursing program on Urinary 17-KS, 17-OHCS, and Blood Na, Cl, K, Ca, P, cholesterol. The sample for the present study was composed of 16 demented elderly in D care center for the elderly in K city. The Dementia prevention nursing program consisted of concept memory training, music therapy, and art therapy. The program was performed twice a week and about ninety minutes was consumed for one session. The program had been administered for 8 weeks. We checked Urinary 17-KS, 17-OHCS, and Blood Na, Cl, K, Ca, P, cholesterol before and after the program. Statistical analysis was performed by using descriptive statistics and Wlicoxon signed rank test of SAS system for window 6.12. The result were follows : 1. Urinary 17-KS 17-KS score increased significantly after intervention(p=0.005). 2. Urinary 17-OHCS 17-OHCS score increased significantly after intervention(p=0.001). 3. Blood Na, Cl, K, Ca, P, cholesterol Na(p=0.0002), Cl(p=0.0001), K(p=0.0001), Ca(p=0.0028), decreased significantly after intervention. The results show that Dementia prevention nursing program increases Urinary 17-KS, 17-OHCS, and decreases Blood Na, Cl, K, Ca, P, cholesterol. In conclusion, the Dementia prevention nursing program can be used for the effective measure to decrease stress of the Demented elderly.

서봉총 금제 과대 및 요패의 성분 분석 (A Scientific Analysis of the Gold Belt with Dangling Ornaments from Seobongchong Tomb)

  • 신라시대 대형 고분인 서봉총에서 출토된 과대 1점과 요패 8점을 성분 분석하였다. 구성품을 크게 금판, 못, 영락, 금사 등으로 구분하여 성분비를 검토한 결과 모두 서로 다른 순도를 지닌 금제로 제작되었다. 과대에 사용된 금판은 순도 17~18K, 19~20K 두 가지로 구분되며, 못은 약 20K, 영락과 금사는 대부분 18K의 금으로 제작되었다. 요패에 사용된 금판 역시 대부분 17K~19K이며, 연결고리는 17~19K, 못은 17~20K, 영락과 금사는 약 19K의 금제로 확인되었다.

Comparison of Inhibitory Effects of 17-AAG Nanoparticles and Free 17-AAG on HSP90 Gene Expression in Breast Cancer

  • Background: HSP90 may be overexpressed in cancer cells which are greatly dependent on Hsp90 function. Geldanamycin derivative 17 allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin (17-AAG) inhibits the function and expression of HSP90. 17-AAG has poor water-solubility which is a potential problem for clinical practice. In this study for improving the stability and solubility of molecules in drug delivery systems we used a ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin-17AAG complex. Materials and Methods: To assess cytotoxic effects of ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin-17AAG complexes and free 17AAG, colorimetric cell viability (MTT) assays were performed. Cells were treated with equal concentrations of ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin- 17AAG complex and free 17AAG and Hsp90 gene expression levels in the two groups was compared by real-time PCR. Results: MTT assay confirmed that ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin- 17AAG complex enhanced 17AAG cytotoxicity and drug delivery in T47D breast cancer cells. The level of Hsp90 gene expression in cells treated with ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin- 17AAG complex was lower than that of cells treated with free 17AAG (P=0.001). Conclusions: The results demonstrated that ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin- 17AAG complexes are more effective than free 17AAG in down-regulating HSP90 expression due to enhanced ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin-17AAG uptake by cells. Therefore, ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin could be superior carrier for this kind of hydrophobic agent.

Association between Polymorphisms of Interleukin-17A and Interleukin-17F Genes and Silicosis Susceptibility in Chinese Han People

  • Background: To explore the relationship between polymorphisms of interleukin17 (IL-17) gene(A-832G 7488A/G) and the susceptibility to silicosis, a risk factor for lung cancer. Materials and Methods: A total of 113 silicosis patients and 116 workers without silicosis were enrolled in the case-control study. IL-17A A-832G and IL-17F 7488A/G polymorphisms were evaluated by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). Results: The frequencies of AA,GG and AG of IL-17A A-832G locus in the case and control groups were 46.9%, 8.0%, 45.1%, and 49.2%, 7.6%, 43.2%, respectively, with no significant differences (p>0.05).The GG genotype in the IL-17F (7488A/G) locus was not found. The frequencies of AA and GA of IL-17F 7488A/G locus in the case and control groups were 84.1%, 15.9% and 66.4%, 33.6%, respectively (p<0.05). Analysis of combined effects showed that the individuals with GG+AG genotype of IL-17A and GG+GA genotype of IL-17F are protected against silicosis (OR=0.469). Conclusions: IL-17F 7488A/G is associated with susceptibility to silicosis, and G allele may have a protective effect. No relationship was found between IL-17A gene polymorphisms at A-832G and silicosis.

A report of 11 unrecorded bacterial species in Korea isolated in 2017

  • Eleven bacterial strains 17SD2_15, 17Sr1_23, 17SD2_13, 17Sr1_31, 17gy_18, 16B15D, 16B02D, 16B04G, 16B01D, 17U4-2 and 17J28-10 assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria were isolated from soil samples collected from Seoul Women's University, in South Korea. The Belnapia species, strain 17SD2_15 was cocci-shaped and pink-colored. The Methylobacterium species, strain 17Sr1_23, 17SD2_13, 17Sr1_31, and 16B15D were short rod-shaped and pink-colored. The Microvirga species, strain 17gy_18, and 16B02D were short rod-shaped and pink-colored. The Oxalicibacterium species, strain 16B04G was short rod-shaped and pink-colored. The Sphingomonas species, strain 16B01D was short rod-shaped and yellow-colored. The Variovorax species, strain 17U4-2 was cocci-shaped and yellow-colored. The Paracoccus species, 17J28-10 was cocci-shaped and orange-colored. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that strains 17SD2_15, 17Sr1_23, 17SD2_13, 17Sr1_31, 17gy_18, 16B15D, 16B02D, 16B04G, 16B01D, 17U4-2 and 17J28-10 were most closely related to Belnapia soli (with 99.9% similarity), Methylobacterium gregans (99.1%), Methylobacterium isbiliense (99.6%), Methylobacterium oxalidis (99.9%), Microvirga aerilata (98.7%), Methylobacterium aerolatum (99.0%), Microvirga vignae (100.0%), Noviherbaspirillum canariense (100.0%), Sphingomonas desiccabilis (100.0%), Variovorax humicola (99.6%), and Paracoccus acridae (99.1%), respectively. This is the first report of these eleven species in Korea.

라면 건조 스프 재료의 방사선 조사 검지를 위한 Hydrocarbon류 검출 (Detection of Hydrocarbons to Determine Post-Irradiation of Dry Soup Base Ingredients in Instant Noodle)

  • 방사선 조사한 라면 건조 스프에서 hydrocarbon류를 검출하여 이를 라면 스프의 방사선 조사 여부를 검지하는 데 활용하고자 하였다. 스프 재료를 개별, 또는 배합 전후에 방사선 조사하여, hexane으로 지방을 추출하고 Florisil column으로 분리한 hydrocarbon류를 GC를 사용하여 분석하였다. 10 kGy 조사한 팜유, 고춧가루, 참깨에서 비조사 시료에서는 검출되지 않는 hydrocarbon C17:2, C16:3, C17:1, C16:2 등이 검출되었다. 비조사 재료만을 사용하여 배합한 스프에서는 C17:2, C16:3, C17:1, C16:2가 검출되지 않았다. 팜유 또는 참깨만을 방사선 조사한 것을 사용한 배합 스프에서는 C17:2, C16:3, C17:1, C16:2이 검출되었으며, 고춧가루만 방사선 조사한 것을 사용한 배합 스프에서는 C17:2와 C16:3이 검출되었다. 비조사 재료를 배합한 후 방사선 조사하였을 때, 1 kGy 조사 시료에서 C17:2, C17:1, C16:2가 검출되었고, 5 kGy 및 10 kGy 조사한 시료에서 C17:2, C16:3, C17:1, C16:2가 다량 검출되었다.

A report of 14 unrecorded bacterial species in Korea isolated in 2017

  • Fourteen bacterial strains, low10-4-1, J11015, 17J27-22, 17G22-9, 17G9-4, 17Bio_15, 17gy_33, 17SD1_21, Strain8, 17Sr1_17, J21014T, H31021, 17J49-9, and 17J80-6 assigned to the phylum Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Deinococcus-Thermus, and Firmicutes were isolated from soil samples. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that strains low10-4-1, J11015, 17J27-22, 17G22-9, 17G9-4, 17Bio_15, 17gy_33, 17SD1_21, Strain8, 17Sr1_17, J21014T, H31021, 17J49-9, and 17J80-6 were most closely related to Marmoricola aurantiacus (98.9%), Calidifontibacter indicus (99.8%), Gordonia soli (98.8%), Rhodococcus globerulus (99.5%), Pseudarthrobacter siccitolerans (99.1%), Hymenobacter qilianensis (98.7%), Hymenobacter terrae (99.0%), Deinococcus yunweiensis (99.2%), Deinococcus proteolyticus (99.7%), Domibacillus indicus (99.2%), Exiguobacterium mexicanum (100.0%), Kurthia senegalensis (99.1%), Lysinibacillus composti (99.6%), and Bacillus loiseleuriae (99.3%). These fourteen species have never been reported in Korea, therefore we report them here for the first time.

  • 고온, 호알칼리성 Bacillus K-17 균주에서 한가지 xylanase 유전자를 pBR322를 벡터로 이용하여 클로닝시켰다. Xylan을 함유하는 LB 한천배지에서 분해환을 형성하는 대장균 형질전환주에서 재조합 플라스미드 pAXl13을 분리하였으며, 본 pAXl13 은 pBR322와 고온, 호알칼리성 Bacillus K-17균주 염색체 DNA의 4.3Kb HindIII 절편으로 구성되어 있었다. Biotin으로 표식된 pAXl13을 probe로 하여 상동성시험을 하여 본 결과, pAXl13에 존재하는 4.3Kb Hind III 절편은 고온, 호알칼리성 Bacillus K-17 균주 유래임을 확인하였다. pAXl13 을 가지는 E. coli 균주가 생성하는 xylanase는 균체외에 존재하였으며 그 효소학적 성질은 고온, 호알칼리성 Bacillus K-17 균주의 xylanase I 과 II중에서 xylanase I과 동일하였다.

Th17과 자가면역 관절염 (The Th17 and Autoimmune Arthritis)

  • Autoimmune arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), is a chronic inflammatory disorder that primarily affects the joints and then results in their progressive destruction. Effector Th cells have been classified as Th1 and Th2 subsets based on their cytokine expression profiles and immune regulatory function. Another subset of T cells termed Th17 was recendy discovered and known to selectively produce IL-17. Also, Th17 was shown to be generated by TGF${\beta}$ and IL-6 and maintained by IL-23. IL-17 is a proinflammatory cytokine that is considered to involve the development of various inflammatory autoimmune diseases such as RA, asthma, lupus, and allograft rejection. IL-17 is present in the sera, synovial fluids and synovial biopsies of most RA patient. IL-17 activates RA synovial fibroblasts to synthesize IL-6, IL-8 and VEGF via PI3K/Akt and NF-${\kappa}B$ dependent pathway. IL-17 increases IL-6 production, collagen destruction and collagen synthesis. In addition, it not only causes bone resorption but also increases osteoclastogenesis and fetal cartilage destruction. Inhibition of the IL-17 production may contribute a novel therapeutic approach along with potent anti-inflammatory effect and with less immunosuppressive effect on host defenses.

저압차단기 규격동향 및 IEC SC17B, SC17D 활동에 관한 고찰 (Trends in standards of low voltage circuit breaker and activities of IEC SC17B, SC17D)

  • International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)은 국제 규격을 제 개정하는 단체로서, 1906년에 설립된 조직이다. 2006년 말 기준으로 67개국의 회원 국가를 보유하고 있으며 총 5,613개의 규격을 제 개정하고 있다. IEC는 많은 수의 규격을 제 개정하기 위하여 100개의 Technical Committee (TC)와, 각 TC 산하에 Subcommittees(SC)를 두고 있다. SC는 다시 산하에 Working group(WG)을 두어 실제적으로 해당 국제규격의 제 개정은 바로 이 WG에서 작업을 하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 IEC TC17내의 SC17B와 SC17D의 구성, 현황 및 활동과 현재 진행되고 있는 저압차단기의 규격동향에 대하여 고찰하였다. IEC TC17은 차단기, 개폐기(스위치), 단로기, 버스관로 및 배전반등과 관련된 IEC 규격의 제 개정을 담당하고 있다. TC17 산하의 SC17B는 저압 차단기, SC17D는 저압배전반제품과 관련된 규격을 관리하고 있다. 한국은 SC17B와 SC 17D의 P-member(Participant)로서 투표권을 갖고 있으며, 한국전기연구원이 운영간사를 맡고 있다. 현재 국내기업체 전문가와 연구원들의 의견을 수렴하여 국가의견으로서 IEC에 제출하고 있지만 앞으로 더 많은 전문가들의 참여가 시급한 실정이다.
