전주지역 향토음식의 메뉴평가에 관한 연구 (Menu Evaluation for Native Foods in Jeonju Area)

  • This study evaluated the menus of native foods menu in the Jeonju city area in order to present possible improvements. The study examined twenty native food restaurants that target the visitors to the Jeonju city area from July 20 to August 12, 2005. These restaurants specialize in Jeonjubibimbap, Kongnamulgukbap, Hanjeongsik, and Dolsotbibimbap, which are all native foods of Jeonju. Restaurant patrons were randomly selected on leaving the study aim was explained, and questionnaires were distributed. of 200 papers, only 109 were suitable for statistical analysis. First, four factors of menu evaluation were drawn out: inner shape factor of food, outer shape factor of food, sanitation factor, and service factor. Second, the analysis showed statistically significant difference at the 5% significance level in age, job, and monthly income. Third, regression analysis between the factors on menu evaluation and the variables on their intention to visit the restaurant again, indicated that the inner shape factor of food influenced the intention to visit again. It is expected that these study results will assist the employees, restaurant managers, and chefs in making the best practical use of the basic ingredients to promote food quality and increase sales, which will lead to the further development of Jeonju city.

영조초년(英祖初年)의 전주읍성(全州邑城) 개축공사(改築工事)에 관한 재고찰(再考察) (A Review on the Reconstruction of Jeonju Eupsung during the early years of King Young-Joe)

  • Through reinvestigations of early years of King Young-Joe provincial castles, Jeonju Eupsung, this study seeks to broaden the understanding of castle construction of the later period of Chosun Dynasty. Jeonju Eupsung was established by reform-minded king and his loyalist Cho, Hyun Myung. Their new conceptual framework for reconstruction of Jeonju Eupsung was affected by Yoo, Hyung Won, a realist scholar of 17th century. It is obvious that adopted new administrative systems of financing, building and maintaining of Jeonju Eupsung were based on the his theories of castle. This study demonstrates that Jeonju Eupsung built by Cho, Hyun Myung, during the early years of King Young-Joe were based on those new concepts and systems of the new age. The study shows that the designer of this castle had in mind efficient construction design and execution and effective defense of provincial towns located on flat ground. And, the study explains how those original designer sought higher productivity through greater localization of securing resources and more detailed and improved organization of construction responsibilities. In short, this study seeks to prove that the provincial castles of the early 18th century reflected the new thinking on practicality that was spreading throughout the society of Chosun Dynasty at the time.

Current Status of Solar Power Generation in Jinju City Close to the South Coast and Jeonju City Close to the West Coast

  • Recently, renewable energy has been increasing in Korea to reduce greenhouse gas, and solar power generation, which accounts for the largest proportion of renewable energy, is noteworthy. The government policy will further increase solar power generation. In order to implement the policy, it is important to understand the current status of domestic solar power generation facilities. Therefore, the current status of solar power generation facilities in Jinju city close to the south coast and Jeonju city close to the west coast was investigated and compared. By 2020, 618 solar power plants had been installed in Jeonju city and 269 in Jinju city. However, there is not much difference in the amount of solar power generation for business at 9 GWh. The reason is that Jinju city has a lower population density than Jeonju city, so there are enough places to install a large-scale solar power facilities with a large power generation capacity. Monthly solar power generation was the highest in April in both Jeonju city and Jinju city and the lowest in January. In particular, in December, Jinju city showed more solar power generation than Jeonju city because of the large amount of insolation, long sunshine hours, and few clouds.

전주팔경의 시원(始原)과 변용(變容)에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Origin and Transformation of Jeonju-Palkyung)

  • 전주를 대상으로 한 11개 집경(集景)의 표제어 및 시어(詩語) 분석과 해석을 토대로 전주 팔경의 형식과 내용상의 시원 및 변용과정을 시계열분석으로 살핀 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 추재(秋齋) 조수삼(趙秀三, 1762~1849)의 팔경시 이전에는 전주팔경의 골격과 유사한 형식의 집경 사례가 발견되지 않는 것으로 보아, "추재집"에 실린 여덟 편의 시를 전주팔경의 시원(始原)으로 보기에는 큰 무리가 없으며 그 시기는 1829년경으로 추정된다. 이후 19세기 말 작품인 '완산승경'과 '열녀춘향수절가에 기재된 팔경' 그리고 일제강점기의 '시인 신석정이 전하고 있는 팔경' 중 '동포귀범'만이 행정구역의 변화에 따라 동지포에서 봉동의 동촌으로 대상장이 변용되었지만 모두 조수삼의 팔경과 크게 다르지 않다는 점 또한 이를 뒷받침한다. 표제어 일치율 분석 결과, 전주팔경은 최소한 19C 후반에 정착(定着)된 이후 일제강점기에도 줄곧 전주를 대표하는 경관으로 지속된 것으로 확인되며 이후 '남천표모'와 '곤지망월'이 추가되어 전주십경으로써 외연(外延)이 확산되었다. 이러한 팔경 제영의 형식성에도 불구하고 "패향십영(沛鄕十詠)"이나 "견도십영(甄都十詠)" 그리고 "빈일헌십영(賓日軒十詠)" 등 조선 전기의 집경뿐만 아니라 일제강점기 일본인 나루시마 슈쿠시(成島淑士)의 집경 속에도 경기전 건지산 조경단 오목대 그리고 기린봉 덕진연 만경대 등 조선왕조의 발생지이자 전라감영의 수부(首府)로서의 상징성이 높고 전주십경의 연원(淵源)이 되는 명소들이 자리하고 있음을 볼 때 전주팔경의 의미론적 태동기는 조선 전기까지로 그 전범이 소급(遡及)되어야 할 것이다. 이 시기에는 견훤도(甄萱都)와 같이 후백제 도읍지로서의 회고(懷古) 관성(慣性)이 큰 승경 뿐 아니라 만경대와 같이 고려말 정몽주와 이성계를 상기시키는 내용의 경물 또한 전주 팔경에 등장함으로써 후백제 도읍지로서의 전주의 위상을 높이고, 조선 왕조의 발흥지로의 역사적 간극을 좁히고 있음이 확인된다. 전주팔경은 후백제 이후 조선시대 역사문화를 담는 유기체적 존재로 다소 부침(浮沈)을 거듭하였지만 지역의 대표적인 승경으로 꾸준히 변용되어 왔다. 전주 팔경은 '전주 한풍경(韓風景)'을 이해할 수 있는 문화족보로, 이를 보존하고 계승하기 위한 노력은 오늘을 사는 전주인의 몫이라 판단된다.

  • 비접촉 터치식 조명 스위치의 감도에 관한 실험을 하였다. 유리, 목재(파티클 보드), 플라스틱의 세 종류 재질에 대해 다양한 두께의 판을 이용하여 스위치 전극을 고정한 후, 스위치가 안정적으로 동작하는 커패시턴스를 실험적으로 찾아보았다.

감잎의 성장시기별 항산화 효과 (Antioxidant activity of Persimmon Leaves during Growth)

  • Kojongsi persimmon (Diospyros kaki) is the major cultivar of astringent persimmon in southern of Korea. Kojongsi persimmon leaf has been traditionally used for acute and chronic diseases in Oriental countries. The purpose of this study was undertaken to investigate the antioxidative activities of the extract of Kojongsi persimmon leaf during growth. We investigated the antioxidant effects of the persimmon leaf extracts during growth on total polyphenol, total flavonoid, electronic donating ability (DPPH), nitrite (NO) scavenging and superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity. The next, we investigated the possible cell protective effects of the persimmon extract treatment against ultraviolet B (UVB)-induced injury in HaCaT keratinocytes. The contents of total polyphenol and flavonoid in leaf extract of Kojongsi persimmon were increased in time-dependent manner. In Jun, DPPH and NO radical scavenging and SOD-like activities in the leaf extract of Kojongsi persimmon was increased to the highest. However, the antioxidant activities in persimmon varieties were not any difference. The cell cytotoxicity by UVB irradation in HaCaT keratinocytes was significantly increased with the compared to the control group. However, the treatment of leaf extract of Kojongsi persimmon in HaCaT keratinocytes was shown to protective effect against UVB-induced cell cytotoxicity. These results suggest that the leaf extract of Kojongsi persimmon has potent antioxidant activity, and protective effect against UVB-induced keratinocyte injury. Thus, these properties may be contributed in the care of acute and chronic diseases.

  • 1995년 드라마 <모래시계> 촬영지가 유명 관광지로 각광받고 수많은 관광객들을 불러 모은 이후, 각 지자체는 영화 드라마 촬영을 유치하고자 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있다. 지자체 중에서도 특히 전주시는 국제영화제 개최, 전주영상위원회 및 전주영화종합촬영소 설립 등 촬영을 유치하고자 적극적으로 노력하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 풍부한 기반 환경을 갖췄음에도 불구하고, 촬영 이후에 이를 장기적으로 활용하고자 하는 노력은 타 도시에 비해 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 한계를 보완하기 위하여 대표적인 SNS(Social Network Service)인 트위터(twitter)를 대상으로 특정 구문을 포함한 트윗을 수집, 그 추이를 분석하였다. 이러한 트윗 멘션의 내용 분석을 통해, 본 연구는 전주 지역의 촬영지와 관광지에 실제로 방문하는 관광객의 주요 방문 요인을 알아보고, 나아가 촬영지의 관광자원화를 위한 방안을 제안하였다.

엉겅퀴, 울금, 개똥쑥 복합 추출물의 지방간 개선효과 (Ameliorative Effects of Cirsium jaonicum, Artemisia annua and Curcuma longa on Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease)

  • In this study, the effect of complex hot water extracts of Cirsium jaonicum, Artemisia annua and Curcuma longa (CAC) on the improvement of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) was investigated. CAC inhibited fatty acid synthesis and lipid accumulation in HepG2 cells cultured with free fatty acid (FFA). In the NAFLD animal model, CAC extract suppressed the increase in body weight, liver, and epididymis fat weight, and suppressed the increase in hepatocyte fat and blood triglyceride. In addition, by blocking the Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway, cells were protected from oxidative stress in hepatocytes. Moreover, CAC inhibited the expression of COX-2, iNOS, TNF-α and IL-17 in hepatocytes. These results suggest the possibility that CAC extract can be applied in the field of health functional foods and pharmaceuticals for improvement and prevention of NAFLD.
