So To help there cognizing of traditional design which needed for internationalization and informational periods, fashion designer of the world must research the meaning of the trend and motive power of the world fashion, base on the cultural back ground of their country. And for this, the grounding educational curriculums for fashion designer include the process which can promote awareness of their country's culture, tradition, and beauty.
This study investigated the status of Korean food consumption and the need for home meal replacement of Korean food for Chinese and Japanese in order to export Korean food to China and Japan. In total, 78.2% of Chinese and 33.0% of Japanese showed significant differences in their experiences of visiting Korea. The most common place to consume Korean food was a Korean restaurant for Chinese (55.8%), whereas Japanese (44.9%) consumed Korean food at Korean restaurants in Japan. In the purchasing experience of Korean home meal replacement, 59.2% of Chinese and 40.5% of Japanese responded that they had 'purchase experience', and the reason for purchasing was 'delicious' (32.5%) for Chinese and 'convenience' (34.8 %) for Japanese. The place to purchase Korean home meal replacement was large marts in both countries. Most Chinese (92.2%) and Japanese (62.1%) respondents said they were willing to buy Korean home meal replacement. Both Chinese (54.8 %) and Japanese (48.0%) said that 'taste' was the most important factor to consider when developing Korean home meal replacement. The favorite tastes were 'spicy' (35.3%) for Chinese and 'savory' (38.8%) for Japanese. For the taste of Korean home meal replacement, Chinese answered that the product should be developed by maintaining 'Korean traditional taste as it is' (57.7%), whereas Japanese responded 'change according to the taste of Japanese' (65.2%). For the preferred packaging form of home meal replacement, Chinese preferred 'vacuum' package while the Japanese preferred 'frozen'. The results of this study can be used as basic data for domestic food companies to establish marketing strategies to enter the Chinese and Japanese home meal replacement markets.
The aims of this study were to examine the acoustic features of Korean and Japanese vowels, and to determine whether new phones that do not have counterparts in Japanese or similar phones that have counterparts improve more from learning. This study consisted of three parts. In Experiment I, a speech production test was performed to observe the acoustic features of Korean and Japanese vowels. In Experiment II, the speech production of Korean vowels produced by Koreans, advanced Japanese learners of Korean, and beginning Japanese learners of Korean was investigated. In Experiment III, a speech perception study of Korean vowels produced by the two Japanese learner groups was conducted to observe the effect of learning on acquiring L2 phones. The conclusion drawn from the study was that the similar phones produced by Japanese show more similarity with those of Koreans than new phones in terms of F1 and F2, but Japanese learners of Korean displayed more improvement in new phones from learning.
The purpose of this experimental study is to investigate formant characteristics of Korean monophthongs spoken by Japanese learners and to compare the characteristics of vowels produced by the Japanese learners with those of the Korean native speakers. The data consisted of three categories: eight vowels in isolation, words including eight vowels in carrier sentences, and words including eight vowels in natural sentences. In this study, formant frequencies of the vowels were measured by Wave Surfer. It was assumed that the formant frequencies of the Korean vowels produced by the Japanese learners could be different from those of the Korean native speakers due to the influence of their own Japanese vowels. Results of this study showed that the Japanese learners had the difficulties to distinguish between the pairs /-/and /ㅜ/, /ㅓ/and /ㅗ/, and /ㅏ/and /ㅔ/. In Japanese vowels, F2 frequency value of /ㅜ/ was similar to that of the Korean /-/. It means that when the Japanese leaners produced Korean /ㅜ/, they might neutralize /-/ and /ㅜ/. Besides, there were not /ㅓ/and /ㅐ/ in Japanese vowels. Therefore, they tended to pronounce /ㅓ/ similar to /ㅗ/ which has the most similar formant frequency value with that of /ㅓ/, and /ㅐ/ was pronounced similar to /ㅔ/ for the same reason.
From the cooking data, Japanese rice showed higher water uptake but lower expansion volume, pH and iodine blue value than those of Korean rice. Japanese rice had higher maximum viscosity, breakdown viscosity and pasting temperature but lower final viscosity and setback viscosity than those of Korean rice by RVA analysis. Japanese rice had higher LC (low compression) hardness, U stickiness and HC (high compression) stickiness, LC balance and HC balance, but had lower HC hardness and thickness in the tensipresser data. Also Japanese rice had higher stickiness and balance, and lower hardness from the texturometer analysis. Japanese rice showed higher a cooked taste score than that of the Satake cooked taste machine. The various mean values of Japanese rice after cooking showed better cooking characteristics than the Korean rice. These results might be caused because Japanese rice had a little lower amylose and protein content, but higher tat acidity content.
In this research, we analyzed the activities of Japanese architectural offices in Korea during the Japanese occupation era, classifying them into two groups: first, Japanese architectural offices that had their bases in Korea, and second, Japanese architectural offices that had their bases in Japan. There were totally 98 Japanese architectural offices that had their bases in Korea during the Japanese occupation period. The number of those offices had increased rapidly since 1920s. Nakamura(the design of bank buildings), Tamada(the design of theaters), Otsumi(the design of Japanese style residential houses) can be regarded as the most remarkable Japanese architectural offices among them. We found that these offices already specialized in certain architectural planning fields, such as bank buildings, theaters and residential houses. It was also found that, during the Pacific War period, even privately-managed architectural offices were mobilized for the war by Japanese government, through designing munitions factories, etc. On the one hand, since some large Japanese corporations entered into Korea, many Japanese architectural offices, that had their bases in Japan, got into working in Korea and designed a number of buildings, with the exception of the architectural office of Vories, who was a Christian architect. Even though the place that the activities of these Japanese architectural offices were carried out was Korea, any factors of Korean architectural style couldn't be found In their works. This means that they just transplanted the Japanese modern architectural style in Korea.
The purpose of this thesis is a searching out the characteristics of Japanese dwellings implanted into Korea in the time of the rule of Japanese imperialism and its influences on Korean modern dwellings especially in the time of 1930's. At the early stage of the colonial time($1905{\sim}1919$), the central corridor type Japanese dwellings were implanted into Korea for the Japanese official residences. The central corridor type Japanese dwelling was an urban modern dwelling compromised between Japanese style and western style and distinguished by an outer-court type plan, Japanese entrance hall, central corridor and western style reception room. After the 1920's the central corridor type Japanese dwellings have spreaded itself and became a prototype of a modern dwelling in Korea. The characteristics of the central corridor type Japanese dwellings have influenced on the Korean high class dwellings and Korean architects' proposals for modern dwelling in the time of 1930's. By the implantation and spread of the central corridor type Japanese dwellings, Korean modern dwellings at the same time have affected and undergone transformation. The aspects of transformation were ; The outbreaking of the Japanese style entrance and central corridor, the transformation of MaDang from the inner court with a function of circulation into the outer court garden with plants and the transformation of Korean dwellings from the rural inner court type into the urban outer court type. The central corridor type Japanese dwellings implanted into Korea in the time of the rule of Japanese imperialism makes function as a precedent of a modern urban dwelling to Korean and makes Korean dwellings transform from the rural inner court type into the urban outer court type.
This study is about japanese national suit. women's standard dress, and mompe, which were used as a means of controlling people's life and simplifying people's clothing during the chinese-japanese war(1937) and the pacific war(1941-1945). National suit was a semi-military uniform for men and it was the western style suit composed of jacket, under shirt, and pants. National suit was not popular during the early war, but it became popular afterward. Women's standard dress had the two kinds of styles : the kimono and the western style. Women's standard dress was not popularly distributed. Instead, many japanese women wore mompe, the active wear of standard dress. Almost all of japanese women wore mompe by the end of war because of its practical use. The effects of national suit, standard dress, and mompe on the rapid westernization of postwar japanese clothing can be summarized as follows. First, national suit and standard dress contributed to the official acceptance of the western clothes as japanese daily clothes. Second, national suit, standard dress, and mompe changed the traditional view of japanese on clothing and caused the rapid westernization of japanese clothing with the high emphasis on the practical and functional use of clothing. Especially, as japanese women wore mompe as the outer garment, mompe affected the view of japanese on women's body and it served as an important stimulus to speed the westernization of japanese women's clothing.
Periodically, the Japanese Castle was created in the domestic of Japan and then 2 Invasions into Chosun was started. The Japanese Castle in the domestic of Japan was repaired several times by the building boom of castle before & after 2 invasions and so the initially-built type of castles was changed. Accordingly, there are much difficulties to understand the original shape of Japanese Castle. Through the Japanese Castle within Korea called as the fossil of Japanese Castle, I would like to examine & consider its building period and characteristics. The terminology called as [Two Side Stone's Wall] is that of castle which is not acknowledged in the Japanese Academic Circles. However, it means the two-fold wall of Japanese Castle which was widely applied to the fortification way in the Age of Japan Edo. The terminology of [Sori] says the stonework curve in the corner of Japanese Castle which is indicated best in the Japanese Castle. It calls the curve as like the fan frame. [Curb Stone's Wall] says the type of castle wall constructed with over 1 face in wall body of Japanese Castle. (1) About classifying the construction period of Japanese Castle, the curb stone's wall and the castle having no two side stone's wall must consider the building period as that of Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. If there was [Sori], the two-side stone's wall was used and the place which supported the documentary data, in particular, the place having the record of contraction is considered to be confirmed as the castle constructed in the period of Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1597. (2) The two-side-type stone's wall shown in the Modern Japanese Stone Castle is difficultly considered to be generated from the Japanese Castle at the period of Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592 and in 1597. (3) The beautiful [Sori] shown in the Modern Japanese Stone Castle was started from the Japanese Castle of Korea at the period of Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1597. It is difficultly considered which its indication was firstly generated by the Chaesung-Folded Segment Structure.

It was analysed and considered about entry methods of headings in Japanese book cataloging which using methods of major universities and public libraries in our nation at present. I was suggested and clarified one's position that authors heading must make an entry to our pronunciation after translating from sound of chines letters, title headings must make an entry translation from Japanese title or Chinese title, to Korean. On the cataloging of authors heading or title heading, if cataloging make an entry to Japanese pronunciation it have many faults as follow. (1) In the title and authors heading of Japanese books, if it make an entry as Kana letter, not only non skilled librarian at Japanese language will have many faults but also non skilled users to Japanese language or pronunciation will very difficult to reference in title and authors catalog card. (2) If it Romanize the catalog card of title and authors heading in the Japanese books, librarian of the catalog part will make efforts and take pains to the catalog work. In addition, catalog users which is skilled in Japanese language but can not understand or unknown to the Romanized entry, and which if not understand to the, methods of entry will very difficult to card investigation or can not refer to catalog card. (3) If it make an entry to Korean in the authors and title heading from Japanese sound or pronunciation, librairans and library users which is unskilful as Japanese language will be inconvenience to works and investigation of library materials.
