With the discovery of WooJam JabJeo, Jang-Taegyung[1809~1887] was highlighted as a noted doctor who won fame in the neighborhood of Gwangju, but with 'WoodJam Mango' seeing the light of day, this study was able to confirm the appearance of a literary man enjoying a reputation enough to sway literary circles with his writing of poems. It's possible to confirm his past related to medical service only until age of 42, which is because description in "WooJam JabJeo" came to a halt there. The situation is that the contents of 'WooJam Mango' started from age of 46 and were carried on even until after his death by his followers. Therefore, there exists a very intense impression that he might have put a focus on the life as a literary man ever after his mid-40s. and considering that he breathed his last at the age of 79, it's not difficult for us to estimate that his life was predominantly a series of literary activities rather than a health care provider. The place names appearing in "WooJam JabJeo" and "WooJam Mango" are limited to today's Jeonlanam-do, and this researcher would say that the through-composed poems, which sang of the beauty of Gwangju area scenery are the works, deserve to get a spotlight in local history even today. Through the above discussion, this study could prove that WooJam is a flawless figure enough to represent Gwangju and Jeonlanam-do as a health care provider and a literary person as well.

The effects of sugar substances (oligosaccharide, xylitol and erythritol) as alternative ingredients to sucrose on the quality characteristics and antioxidant activities of aronia jam were evaluated. The different types of sweeteners did not influence the pH, total acidity and sugar contents of the jam. The sucrose-containing jam showed the highest spreadness, while the oligosaccharide and erythritol-containing jams showed lower spreadness. In the chromaticity determination, the sucrose-containing jam showed the lowest L, a and b values compared with the other sweetener groups. There were no significant differences in the total polyphenols, flavonoids and anthocyanin contents in the jams. The antioxidant activity indicated by the DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities was over 70%. Sensory evaluation indicated the xylitol-containing jam to have the best preference in taste, flavor and overall acceptance. These results suggested that xylitol may be a good sugar substance in aronia jam.

The widening national capital area of Korea has caused a traffic jam problem with increasing commuting hours. In addition, as the economic crisis goes on, the people moving to the outside of a city has increased. So we expect that the expansion of this metropolitan area will do grow and it will cause a more severe traffic jam in the near future. Therefore, We will study about 'Rapid Railroad Operation in Metropolitan Area' to solve this problem and improve rail's competitive power as a reasonable transportation method. The Rapid Railroad can sharply reduce commuting hours. Also, it is more eco-friendly transportation than the others. Through many cases revealed in both domestics and overseas, we will solve the problem of a traffic jam getting senous m metropolitan area. After studying successful cases of overseas, rapid railroad, such as France and Japan, we will study domestic cases of Yongsan$\sim$Dong-inchoen, Guro$\sim$Cheonan and Gaehwa$\sim$Sin-nonhyeon, and comparison will do made among these case. In conclusion, The introduction of Rapid Railroad show the effective plan for strengthen the competitiveness and solve the traffic problem.

This study examined parental perceptions and use of traditional play songs for infants by parent's age and gender. The 464 subjects living in Daejeon City provided data via questionnaires and recorded tapes. Of 13 play songs for infants, parents were really acquainted only with Jjak-jjak-kkung, Do-ri Do-ri, Gon-ji Gon-ji, and Jam-jam. However, most parents thought traditional play songs are important for the education of the whole child. Mothers and parents in their thirties and forties considered traditional play songs to be more important than did fathers and parents in their twenties. Though infants liked traditional play songs, most parents didn't use them with their infants because parents knew few traditional play songs and they had little time to play with their infants. Lack of time was a more serious problem for fathers than for mothers.

We have developed processing methods improved cyanidin-3-glucoside(C3G) stability in mulberry fruit's jam. In the processing of mulberry jam, 3 minutes blanching using microwave inhibited the C3G destruction by maintaining the antioxidant capacity and inactivation of enzymes related to pigment's stability. Also citric acid increased C3G stability in the mulberry fruit's jam. As the adding sugar, sucrose was considered the more desirable sugar than oligosaccharide or xylitol. It showed high C3G content and antioxidant capacity compared to the two treatment groups. In conclusion, when processing mulberry fruit's jam, the addition of citric acid and the enzyme's inactivation treatment were considered effective treatment for the C3G stability and antioxidant ability.

The seasonal variations in species composition and abundance of the fish assemblage were studied in the rocky subtidal habitat around the Jam-do, Jinhae. Fish samples were collected monthly from September 2007 to July 2008 using a pot. During study, a total of 48 fish species belonging to 24 families were collected. The dominant species were Sebastes longispinis, Pseudoblennius cottoides, Sebastes inermis, Rudarius ercodes, Ditrema temminckii, Ernogrammus hexagrammus, which accounted for 71.0% of the total number of individuals collected. The number of species, number of individuals, biomass and diversity greatly fluctuated showing a peak in the number of species, number of individuals and species diversity in autumn, whereas the biomass was the highest in spring. Abundance of dominant species varied with season. S. longispinis was abundant during spring and summer, while the abundance of P. cottoides was higher during autumn and spring. S. inermis occurred with high number in September, December and May, whereas R. ercodes occurred exclusively during autumn.

A single specimen (192 cm total length, TL) of the Pacific sleeper shark, Somniosus pacificus, belonging to the family Somniosidae, order Squaliformes, was firstly collected from the west margin of the East Sea, Korea in February 2008. This specimen was characterized by having interdorsal space, being less than the distance between the snout and first gill opening; and the distance between the snout and first dorsal fin origin more than 45% TL; head and body has overall dark brownish. The new Korean name "Jam-sang-eo-gwa" is proposed for the family Somniosidae, and "Jam-sang-eo-sok" for the genus Somniosus, and "Jat-bit-jam-sang-eo" for the species S. pacificus.

This study investigates the quality of strawberry jam containing different quantities of strawberry. Strawberry jam was prepared by the addition of 70-30%(w/w) strawberry puree, Sweetness, pH, total acidity, color, anthocyanin and pectin content, texture, free sugar, and organic acid content of the samples were measured. Decrease in the quantity of the strawberry puree led to a decrease in the following: total acidity(significance value p<0.05), anthocyanin, pectin, total free sugar, frutose, glucose, sucrose, and, organic acid content, namely oxalic acid, citric acid, malic acid, succinic acid, and formic acid. A texture profile analysis showed reduction in the hardness, gumminess, and chewiness of the jam. At the same time, decrease in the puree quantity also led to an increase in the sweetness, pH, L-value, a-value and b-value(significance value p<0.05) of the jam. These results promote, the consumption of fruit that are high in fruit, low in sugar, and do not contain any chemical additives.

There are not a few cases in Oriental medicine where a different prescription should be given to some of the patients whose symptoms are similar to each other. In other words, there might happen a misdiagnosis due to an extremely delicate difference in symptoms of the same diseases, causing a patient's condition to get worse or to be even on the brink of death. In such a context, the records in "WooJam JabJeo(愚岑雜著)" are worthwhile to do in-depth research on. Jang-Taegyung described his first-hand experience in major medical treatment very vivaciously during his ages between 25 and 42. Particularly, most of the prescriptions recorded in this book include not only his empirical prescriptions on the patients who life was almost on the brink of death but it also so plentifully contained the process of overcoming the side effect caused by other clinics' misdiagnosis; thus, that this book is drawing attention in that it could be indispensable materials not only in the research on medical history but also for clinical treatment. Particularly, as regards two cases of insanity, this book mentions the reason for using totally different prescription on one case from the other case even though the two cases had a similar symptom, through which we can acquire somewhat concrete experience in curing scenes though indirectly during the period of the Joseon Dynasty. We were able to get the result from the analysis of the two cases of insanity as follows: 1. WooJam, in treating the two cases of insanity due to the severe exacerbation of yang energy, managed to treat the one case by inducing a bowel movement and the other case by inducing urination. Such a different treatment seems to be greatly attributable to the constitutional factor of the two patients. Such an Oriental-medicine-based method of diagnosis and prescription as WooJam's is rarely found in Western medicine-i.e., that's why more thorough research on Oriental medicine is deeply required. 2. In case of the second patient, the patient arrived at insanity due to another clinic's treatment on perspiration on the patient with severe mouth thirst. This medical story once again highlights the importance of a diagnosis in today's Oriental medicine and at the same time it's a good example showing how big the side effect caused by the abuse of medicinal herbs is. The second patient's body fluids ran dry and finally his yang energy got exacerbated all the more due to the treatment by perspiration.

All of silkworm varieties reared in farmhouses are first generation hybrids, for the production of these hybrid silkworms precise and labor-saving sex discrimination is necessary. The new variety "Hanbyeolnue" is biparental sex-limited larval marking yellow cocoon variety which was bred from biparental sex-limited strain of Japanese originated Jam 319 and Chinese originated Jam 320. Productivity test of Hanbyeolnue in 2015 showed high healthiness and short larval period. The Hanbyeolnue was evaluated as an excellent variety which can be utilized for special purpose silkworm such as male pupae or Cordyceps production.
