  • In order to obtain reliability and extend life of GAS Voltage Transformer in GIS, it has to prevent aging by overvoltage considered to insulation characteristics of insulating material. This paper describes some characteristics of V-T characteristics and partial discharges.

  • A thermionic gun of injector linac for pohang accelerator laboratory is required to generate beam pulse width less than 1 nsec. The gun uses cathode-grid assembly(EIMAC Y824) and operates up to 80 kV anode voltage. In order research characteristics of the electron gun, emission current from gun wear measured by the wall current monitor. In this paper the pulser system and characteristics of the emission current in region from 30 mA to 15 A are described.

  • As a drive for an ETC (Electro-thermal Chemical) launcher, a large pulse power system of a 2.4MJ energy storage was designed, constructed and tested. The overall power system consists of eight capacitive 300kJ energy storage banks. In this paper we describe the design features, setup and operation test result of the 300kJ pulsed power module. Each capacitor bank of the 300kJ module consists of six 22kV 50kJ capacitors. A triggered vacuum switch (TVS-43) was adopted as the main pulse switch. Crowbar diode circuits, variable multi-tap inductors and energy dumping systems are connected to each high power capacitor bank via bus-bars and coaxial cables. A parallel crowbar diode stack is fabricated in coaxial structure with two series 13.5kV, 60kA avalanche diodes. The main design parameters of the 300kJ module are a maximum current of 180kA and a pulse width of 0.5 - 3ms. The electrical performances of each component and current output variations into resistive loads have been investigated.

  • Vacuum interrupters that is used in various switchgear components such as circuit breakers, distribution switches, contactors, etc. spreads the arc uniformly over the surface of the contacts. The electrode of vacuum interrupters is used sintered Cu-Cr material satisfied with good electrical and mechanical characteristics. Because the closing velocity is 1-3m/s, the deformation of the material of electrodes depends on the strain rate and the dynamic behavior of the sintered Cu-Cr material is a key to investigate the impact characteristics of the electrodes. The dynamic response of the material at the high strain-rate is obtained from the split Hopkinson pressure bar test using cylinder type specimens. Experimental results from both quasi-static and dynamic compressive tests with the split Hopkinson pressure bar apparatus are interpolated to construct the Johnson-Cook equation as the constitutive relation that should be applied to simulation of the dynamic behavior of electrodes. To evaluate impact characteristic of a vacuum interrupter, simulation is carried out with five parameters such as initial velocity, added mass of a movable electrode, wipe spring constant, initial offset of a wipe spring and virtual fixed spring constant.

CdS 박막의 boron doping에 따른 CdS/CdTe 태양전지 특성 (The Effect of Boron Doped CdS Film on CdS/CdTe Solar Cell)

  • Boron doped CdS films were prepared by CBD(Chemical Bath Deposition) method using boric acid ($B_3HO_3$) as donor dopant source, and their properties were investigated. As-grown CdS films were highly adherent and specularly reflective. Boron doped CdS film which was fabricated under the condition of 0.01 $B_3HO_3/Cd(Ac)_2$ mole ratio, exhibited the lowest resistivity of $2{\Omega}cm$ and the highest optical bandgap of 2.41eV. Also, CdS/CdTe solar cells were fabricated with various doping concentration of CdS films. Using optimized CdS film as the window layer of CdS/CdTe solar cell, the characteristics of the cell were improved. ( $V_{oc}$=610mV, $J_{sc}$=37.5mA/cm, FF=0.4, $\eta$=9.1% )

  • 다결정 Pt/0.2 M LiOH수성 전해질 계면에서 두 구별되는 수소 흡착부위의 전기화학적 특성을 위상이동 방법을 이용하여 연구하였다. 순방향과 역방향 주사시, 순환 전압전류도에 UPD H 봉우리가 나타난다. 위상이동 변화 또는 Langmuir 흡착등온식에 전이영역(-0.66 to -0.96 V vs. SCE)이 나타난다 전이영역(-0.66 to -0.96 V vs. SCE)에서 수소 흡착평형상수(K)는 18.5에서 $4.0\times10^{-5}$ 또는 $4.0\times10^{-5}$에서 18.5로 전이한다 마찬가지로, 수소 흡착표준자유에너지$({\Delta}G_{ads})$도 -7.2 kJ/mol에서 25.1kJ/mol또는 25.1 kJ/mol에서 -7.2 kJ/mol로 전이한다. 다결정 Pt표면에서 UPD H와 OPD H는 구별이 가능한 두 종류의 전착된 수소 같이 작용한다. 발열반응이 UPD H 영역에서 나타난다. UPD H 봉우리와 전이영역은 다결정 Pt 표면에서 UPD H와 OPD 보의 두 구별되는 흡착부위에 기인한다.

  • For the purpose of fabricating of LB Ultra Thin Films. (N-docosyl pyridinium)-TCNQ(l: 1) Complex is synthesized. This specimen is verified by U.V. I.R and elemental analyzer. In fabricated LB films with this, as a measurements of electrical conduction characteristics in perpendicular direction, this films have characteristics of insulator(about $10^{-14}S/cm$). And negative resistance phenomena are observed in I-V characteristics of this films.
