In this paper, we introduce and study a generalized Cayley operator associated to H(·, ·)-monotone operator in semi-inner product spaces. Using the notion of graph convergence, we give the equivalence result between graph convergence and convergence of generalized Cayley operator for the H(·, ·)-monotone operator without using the convergence of the associated resolvent operator. To support our claim, we construct a numerical example. As an application, we consider a system of generalized Cayley inclusions involving H(·, ·)-monotone operators and give the existence and uniqueness of the solution for this system. Finally, we propose a perturbed iterative algorithm for finding the approximate solution and discuss the convergence of iterative sequences generated by the perturbed iterative algorithm.

Sufficient dimension reduction is useful dimension reduction tool in regression, and sliced inverse regression (Li, 1991) is one of the most popular sufficient dimension reduction methodologies. In spite of its popularity, it is known to be sensitive to the number of slices. To overcome this shortcoming, the so-called fused sliced inverse regression is proposed by Cook and Zhang (2014). Unfortunately, the two existing methods do not have the direction application to large p-small n regression, in which the dimension reduction is desperately needed. In this paper, we newly propose seeded sliced inverse regression and seeded fused sliced inverse regression to overcome this deficit by adopting iterative projection approach (Cook et al., 2007). Numerical studies are presented to study their asymptotic estimation behaviors, and real data analysis confirms their practical usefulness in high-dimensional data analysis.
In this paper, we introduce and study a new class of random generalized nonlinear implicit variational-like inclusion with random fuzzy mappings in a real separable Hilbert space and give its fixed point formulation. Using the fixed point formulation and the proximal mapping technique for strongly maximal monotone mapping, we suggest and analyze a random iterative scheme for finding the approximate solution of this class of inclusion. Further, we prove the existence of solution and discuss the convergence analysis of iterative scheme of this class of inclusion. Our results in this paper improve and generalize several known results in the literature.

Rule-based classification analysis is widely used for massive datamining because it is easy to understand and its algorithm is uncomplicated. In this classification analysis, majority vote of rules or weighted combination of rules using their supports are frequently used in order to combine rules. We propose a method to combine rules by using the multinomial distribution in this paper. Iterative proportional fitting algorithm is used to estimate the multinomial distribution which maximizes entropy constrained on rules' support. Simulation experiments show that this method can compete with other well known classification models in the case of two similar populations.
In this paper using Lipschitz continuity of the resolvent operator associated with general H-maximal m-relaxed $\eta$-monotone operators, existence and uniqueness of the solution of a variational inclusion system is proved. Also, an iterative algorithm and its convergence analysis is given.
A modified iterative N-FINDR algorithm is developed for fully automatic extraction of endmembers from hyperspectral image data. This algorithm exploits the advantages of iterative NFINDR technique and Iterative Error analysis technique. The experiments using a simulated hyperspectral image data shows that the optimum number of endmembers can be automatically decided. The extracted endmembers and finally generated abundance fraction maps show the potentialities of the proposed algorithm. More studies are needed for verification of the applicability of the algorithm to the real hyperspectral image data where the absence of pure pixels is common.

An iterative solution technique is presented to analyze the dynamic systems of rigid bodies subjected to kinematic constraints. Lagrange multipliers associated with the constraints are iteratively computed by monotonically reducing an appropriately defined constraint error vector, and the resulting equation of motion is solved by a well-established ODE technique. Constraints on the velocity and acceleration as well as the position are made to be satisfied at joints at each time step. Time integration is efficiently performed because decomposition or orthonormalization of the large matrix is not required at all. An acceleration technique is suggested for the faster convergence of the iterative scheme.

Background: Survival time of lymphoma patients can be estimated with the help of microarray technology. In this study, with the use of iterative Bayesian Model Averaging (BMA) method, survival time of Mantle Cell Lymphoma patients (MCL) was estimated and in reference to the findings, patients were divided into two high-risk and low-risk groups. Materials and Methods: In this study, gene expression data of MCL patients were used in order to select a subset of genes for survival analysis with microarray data, using the iterative BMA method. To evaluate the performance of the method, patients were divided into high-risk and low-risk based on their scores. Performance prediction was investigated using the log-rank test. The bioconductor package "iterativeBMAsurv" was applied with R statistical software for classification and survival analysis. Results: In this study, 25 genes associated with survival for MCL patients were identified across 132 selected models. The maximum likelihood estimate coefficients of the selected genes and the posterior probabilities of the selected models were obtained from training data. Using this method, patients could be separated into high-risk and low-risk groups with high significance (p<0.001). Conclusions: The iterative BMA algorithm has high precision and ability for survival analysis. This method is capable of identifying a few predictive variables associated with survival, among many variables in a set of microarray data. Therefore, it can be used as a low-cost diagnostic tool in clinical research.

Iterative detection (ID) has proven to be a near-optimal solution for concatenated Finite State Machines (FSMs) with interleavers over an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. When perfect channel state information (CSI) is not available at the receiver, an adaptive ID (AID) scheme is required to deal with the unknown, and possibly time-varying parameters. The basic building block for ID or AID is the soft-input soft-output (SISO) or adaptive SISO (A-SISO) module. In this paper, Reduced State SISO (RS-SISO) algorithms have been applied for complexity reduction of the A-SISO module. We show that serially concatenated CPM (SCCPM) with AID has turbo-like performance over fading ISI channels and also RS-A-SISO systems have large iteration gains. Various design options for RS-A-SISO algorithms are evaluated. Recently developed density evolution technique is used to analyze RS-A-SISO algorithms. We show that density evolution technique that is usually used for AWGN systems is also a good analysis tool for RS-A-SISO systems over frequency-selective fading channels.

Surface water-groundwater interaction (SWGI) is an important hydrological process that influences both the quantity and quality of water resources. However, regional scale SWGI model calibration and uncertainty analysis have been a challenge because integrated models inherently carry a vast number of parameters, modeling assumptions, and inputs, potentially leaving little time and budget to explore questions related to model performance and forecasting. In this study, we have proposed the application of iterative ensemble smoother (IES) for uncertainty analysis and calibration of the widely used integrated surface-subsurface model, SWAT-MODFLOW. SWAT-MODFLOW integrates Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) and a three-dimensional finite difference model (MODFLOW). The model was calibrated using a parameter estimation tool (PEST). The major advantage of the employed IES is that the number of model runs required for the calibration of an ensemble is independent of the number of adjustable parameters. The pilot point approach was followed to calibrate the aquifer parameters, namely hydraulic conductivity, specific storage, and specific yield. The parameter estimation process for the SWAT model focused primarily on surface-related parameters. The uncertainties both in the streamflow and groundwater level were assessed. The work presented provides valuable insights for future endeavors in coupled surface-subsurface modeling, data collection, model development, and informed decision-making.
