북한산 마디톡토기과의 5종을 기재, 논의한다. 이중에서 4종 즉 Isotamurus griseus, I. myohyangsanus, Isotoma grana, I. agrana는 신종이고 Folsomia octoculata Handshcin, 1925은 북한미기록종이다. 이로서 한국산 마디톡토기과는 남한산 6속 15종을 포함하여 총 6속 19종에 이른다.

한국의 조간대와 사구에 서식하는 톡토기중 혹무늬톡토기과(Neanuridae)와 마디톡토기과(Isotomidae)에 대한 분류학적 연구결과 1신종 Friesea leei n. sp.와 2 한국미기록종 Proisotoma minuta Folsom, 1937 및 Folsomides parvulus Stach, 1922이 관찰되었기에 이를 보고한다. 이밖에 Archisotoma sp. 도 채집되었다.

Six species of springtails (Collembola) are reported for the first time from North Korea: Pachyotoma takeshitai (Kinoshita, 1916), Folsomia bisetosa Gisin, 1953 and Agrenia agilis Fjellberg, 1986 of Isotomidae, Entomobrya sibirica Stach, 1963 and Willowsia buski (Lubbock, 1870) of Entomobryidae, and Ptenothrix setosa (Krausbauer, 1898) of Dicyrtomidae. The genus Pachyotoma Bagnall, 1949 is mentioned for the first time from the Korean Peninsula. In order to facilitate the identification of these species, illustrations and short diagnoses are provided and the poorly known P. takeshitai is described in detail. Ptenothrix setosa and E. sibirica link the Korean peninsular fauna with Central Asia, P. takeshitai shows the zoogeographical connection of the Korean Peninsula with the Japanese Islands and A. agilis has a trans-pacific distribution. Folsomia bisetosa is an interesting circumpolar element in the Korean fauna while W. buski is a subcosmopolitan species.

Two species of the genus Isotomurus $B{\ddot{o}}rner$ are newly recorded in Korea; I. bimus Christiansen and Bellinger, and I. plumosus Bagnall. These species are collected from salt marshes near West Sea of Korea. The Korean materials of I. bimus agreed well with the original description by Christiansen and Bellinger from North America, in its peculiar body pattern, with two long ciliated setae on tibiotarsus of hind leg, multisetaceous lateral flap of ventral tube and the presence of a mucronal lateral seta. Isotomurus plumosus is also easily identified from other Isotomurus species by the peculiar colour pattern, and the presence of long maxillary lamella 1 and a mucronal seta.

톡토기목 가운데 털보톡토기상과에 속하는 3개 과의 종들간의 유연관계를 조사하기 위하여 이들 과에 속하는 3종 및 인접 상과에 속하는 3과 4종에 대해 유전자분석을 실시하 였다. 이를 위해서 전기영동을 실시하고 대립유전자빈도를 구한 후 유전적차이치(D)를 이용 하여 UPGMA 방법으로 dendrogram을 작성하였다. 그 결과 분절아목 중 털보톡토기상과에 속하는 마디톡토기과, 털보톡토기과 및 가시톡토기과의 종들이 함께 유집되었고, 인접상과인 보라톡토기과, 어리톡토기과 및 혹무늬톡토기과의 종들이 함께 유집되었다. 한편 가시톡토기 과의 종은 털보톡토기과의 종과 그리고 혹무늬톡토기과의 종은 보라톡토기과의 종과 가깝게 유집이 되기는 하나, 이들 종간의 유전적 차이값이 매우 높아 일부 학자의 견해대로 한 과 에 속하는 두 아과로 놓기보다는 별개의 과로 두는 것이 타당하다고 판단되었다. 아울러 굴 톡토기는 어리톡토기과와 유집되기는 하나 유전적차이가 크므로 독립된 과로서의 성격이 인 정된다. 이 결과는 형태형질 및 18S rDNA 염기서열을 분석한 결과와도 대체로 일치하였다.
